Add this to your build.prop
rio.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=100
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000
pm.sleep_mode=1
i tried that, faster charging + better battery.

Go to System and edit as text build.prop file. Add those lines at the bottom of the file and leave one empty line at the end of the file.
Deleting unused apps especially those that run in the background will save a day at least. Also set your CPU to Max 1,242 (an example) - my S is still smooth as i don't play games

You can edit it in your phone using any file explorer. In my case, I use ES File Explore. Battery performance improves as you use your phone. Just charge after draining and continue the cycle then you will notice the improvement.

what do you use to edit it? In your file explorer setting be sure to check "mount file system as writable"..

Jota Text Editor and there was no option for that in AndroZip so should I use a different file explorer instead?

Try using ES File explorer. Then go to settings and check "up to root", "root explorer" and "mount file system".

Yes there is an apk file do to it. Let me see if I have it on here. Gimme a second.
Edit.
Found it. There you go. Just install that to SD card, then go into apps, and click on enforced silencer check it on, and you're good to go.
Thanks

Let me know if you have any issues. It's what I'm running on my phone.
Better yet hop on root explore and go down to system>build propt mount R/O and change the "0" at the end to "1" and save change and reboot. ro.media.capture.shuttertone=0
I forgot who came up with the tweak but not I.

I recommend this more than the custom apk. This method is built-in and in case for some reason you want the sound back, the option is just a checkmark away.
The apk is also just a check mark.

If you're rooted all you have to do is use Root Explorer and go into:
/system/media/audio/ui
Change the name of "CameraClick.ogg" to "CameraClick.bak"
You can do the same for the video record sound...simple.

Yes, but doing the build.prop mod allows the toggle to be done from within the camera app which makes it much easier to toggle, as opposed to having to switch to another app.
No need to install anything. The easiest solution is usually always the best.
Yes. I didn't know you could do it from the app. Though easiest isn't always best.

No problem.
I'm trying to delete the file and it keeps saying it's read only iv'e tried changing the permissions and also the r\w on top no dice, lol what am i doing wrong
I just use Root Explorer and go to System/Media/UI then rename the Camera_Click.ogg to Camera_Clik.ogg just changing a single letter works and you can always restore it if wanted.
(You have to be Rooted)
I previously used setcpu but after recommendation for voltage control app in Siyah thread I started using it but it doesn't seem to remember my settings after reboot even after upgrading to latest version of voltage control extreme. I want to ask is there any reason that voltage control is better than setcpu?

Are you sure you saved the profile and boot settings?
Fix the settings that you want. It will ask you to apply changes or discard. click on apply. then press menu button and you will have three options...you should choose save on boot. press that and then come out. reboot your phone. wait for the phone to reboot and then load up for a few minutes. go back into voltage control and all your settings will be saved. let me know how you get on
in the folder system/etc/init.d There are other scripts that block the script Voltage Control. I cleared the folder and began to work.

Then you deleted scripts of kernel and your rom. Do you leave vc to load up upon boot before you go into it

I beleive vc is more efficient

Voltage Control is better.. you can customize almost everything with nice interface and easy to use.. regarding the setting, yes, you should hit menu -> select save as boot settings..

I was considering flashing either speedy or v6 to the newest Eclipse rom. Do either of these wrok with it, and which would you suggest? Also, does the mash up build work with this?
V6 works and I am using options 7 and 20. Thanks to Ash for this tip.

I'm running v6 super charge 512 HP with some script mods by motcher seems to be working well so far. Does any one know how to change the options on super charger can't seem to figure out

run the script again in script manager, then just choose the option(s) you would like to use...
to OP:
if you use v6supercharger make sure u edit the 99tweaks file that comes with eclipse(system/etc/init.d/99tweaks) and delete the lines referring to "memory management (minfrees oom groupings etc..)" they aren't hard to find...they are near top if script.
if using root explorer to edit, after u save changes be sure to delete the 99tweaks.bak that gets created.

You can place battery saving scripts in your init.d folder and when the phone boots it auto runs the script, hereby helping save battery or whatever other tweak scripts you have placed in the folder by whatever methods the scripts are written to do so.
I have AN ANDROID GS3 I am looking for some help on build.prop settings. I have spent several hours on the web and here, I have found some setting but not all of them.
I am looking for a full reference or settings for the ro.ril entries, specifically ro.ril.qos.
I have found only three examples but I would like the rest. see below. the reason I am interested in finding these settings is that I am using VOIP and the infamous t-mobile $30 plan. I have also tuned my build.prop with other setting which I may list later after some further testing and additional ro.ri.qos settings.
Here is what is in my build prop, what is blank after the equals sign i believe to either give the default value or no (null) value.
qos (quality of service)
ro.ril.qos.maxpdps=2
ro.ril.qos.traffic.class=14
ro.ril.qos.max.ul=
ro.ril.qos.max.dl=
ro.ril.qos.guarantee.ul=
ro.ril.qos.guarantee.dl=
ro.ril.qos.delivery.order=
ro.ril.qos.max.sdu=
ro.ril.qos.delivery.err.sdu=
ro.ril.qos.transfer.delay=
ro.ril.qos.traffic.priority=3
Thanks very much in advance
I am sure that qos and other tuning setting will make this very stable and worth the effort.
