The screen on this phone is too damn big for me to reach the notification bar one handed!
Are there any Touchwiz-based ROMs which retain all the built in features AND have the setting to put the notification bar at the bottom instead of the top?
CM is not an option as it dispenses with all the TW stuff.
While I'm about it, I may as well ask if a ROM with the above feature and also some sort of fix for the low auto-brightness setting exists as well?

Hi, I'm on AOKP-Neo 1.5 Linaro! [AOSP 4.0.4] my first real run with an AOSP rom, usually sense. Here is what happens, I recieve a text, it flashes across the top and then disapears from the bar. Same thing with Gmail. In sense roms if I get a text the message flashes across the top, like this, but then a message icon stayed in the top left corner. Now when I turn on my phone I have to look for led or pull down the notifications. Trying to clarify if this is native to ICS or if I can adjust a setting to keep the small icon in the corner until openning.
Not a big deal, just the way I liked it. I understand I can change my ringtone louder and the frequency of the led, just hoping to keep something in that top left corner. Heart will be warmed by answer.
Can't say that I've ever had that issue. Did you change any status bar options in ROM Control that might have affected it?
Notification Icon Transparency! Haha, i thought that was for the bar itself. Thanks for getting me there!
Previously my S3 could display whatever apps that was running in the notification shade (pull down notification / status menu thingy). It was simple to switch between apps this way. After I upgraded to JB, this function was gone. I can't remember what app it was that made that happen or was it something in ICS.
Does anyone know how to get this function back or what app I could get to achieve this function?
Hey everyone!
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the statusbar entirely but retain the notification shade. The notification style is beautiful on lollipop and there's honestly no point of that ugly bar at the top of the screen anymore.
I used expanded desktop before but it requires you to go through multiple swipes before the notification shade opens.
Is it possible to remove the statusbar but keep the "one swipe" notifcation shade funtionality?
One way I thought this could work is to reduce the size of the statusbar to nill or just make it invisible and remove all the icons but I can't seem to find a way to do either of those things however.
Any ideas?
I am using Remix ROM for my Galaxy S3, it's Lollipop 5.1.1. I prefer to use Power Toggles notification bars, so to conserve screen space I'd like to turn off/disable/get rid of the stock notification drawer. I have gone into the settings and removed all the tiles, however when you swipe down on notification area the space where the tiles for at least one row would be, is still there, just blank Any way to do this? Thanks a lot for your help
So it looks like the G6 has an awesome button at the bottom to pull down the notification shade so you dont have to stretch all the way to the top of the device. How about moving the notification shade to the bottom? This would make a lot more sense given how big phones are getting. Really the only reason you stretch to the top of the phone is to get to the quick toggles or notifications up top. Would be great if this came from the bottom to alleviate this.
Hi
Well, that requires a software modification, but if you want that button, it can be easily added if your rom supports Navigation Bar, you can add custom button and set function to pull down notification, and even if it doesn't you can add it with xposed and gravity box app.
