Well, the latest recovery can be downloaded through rom manager apk. Install it from play open it and follow the instructions. The recovery from droidbasement is not the latest, but it is the only one that works with ics.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hello
im going to desagree with you, just that because my experience was diferent.
I have try the Recovery CloxkworkMod for my equipment, that was the 7500 (Download P4 (Odin; GT-P7500): recovery.tar.md5 ) and like i said earlier in the post, that went smoothly without any problems. That said, im in a stock room, dont know if it works on ICS.
Cheers

I didn't say that it doesn't work. Of course it will backup your device. I just said that it is not the latest. That's different than saying it's not working.

That recovery I linked him to was the last CWM recovery for HC 3.2 roms. Its the last one that preshot did for HC, you can use later ones (the ICS ones) but from my experience their a little glitchy when you pair them with HC roms.

The problem is not only recovery. Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=3&o=1#osa, download the firmware for your region and flash with odin. Make a full backup prior to this and also copy the contents of your sdcard to your PC. I think everything gets wiped! Oh, you can flash a 3.2 rom directly also.

I'm not real sure, I found it about a week ago. I've got the wifi 10.1 and it works fine, I can link it to you if you want.
Here's the stock recovery I used on the wifi 10.1, it works on 3.1 and 3.2 http://db.tt/HhOiSnwh you need to flash with Odin in the PDA section.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 10.1 (wifi+3G) screen flickering after trying CM9

Hello guys,
I am experienced in flashing roms and whatever... I already did this hundreds of times with a Galaxy S, Asus Transformer and now with my Galaxy Nexus.
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (3G+wifi). I tried to install CM9 but it didn't work. And man... I really tried a loooot!!!
Well... now I am trying to use the regular stock rom in my Galaxy Tab and everytime the screen turns itself off and I turn it on again, it flickers!!! It's VERY annoying since I have to turn off the tablet to be able to use it again.
I have a nandroid backup and I restored it, but it didn't work... it still flickers!!! =P
I also tried to flash some recovery files: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=2487 like you guys recommended in some other posts.
But it didn't work, too.
Guys... I am getting a little desperate in here... I have been searching for an answer for this for days.
Can anyone help me, please?
Have you tried to use ODIN to flash back to stock?

Hello 9xnine, thank you for your reply. Unhappily I don't have a stock rom (and it seems there's none available - Brazil's model).
Anyway restoring a nandroid backup (like I did) would be the same than flash a stock rom back, right?
Theoretically yes but I often find that Nandroid's won't work for a number of reasons. ODIN is and always has been my friend.
Try this. Looks like the ZVV build is for Brazil

Flash by Odin rom from this link:http://www.hotfile.com/dl/145473375/7dd41d4/P7510UEKMP_P7510XABKMP_XAB.zip.html
This is a rom for 7510 but it works with 7500. Then you have to upload the latest CWM and CM9.
For me it works.
The method described in this issue.

Me too with rooted tab, however, it does check for and download updates and asks for a samsung acc. However, installing the update got a message error. Btw, I'm looking for a fast stable ROM with HC 3.2 and a pre-installed launcher. Anyone got any ideas?
Hi.
to all: go to this address and follow the instructions:
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-p7500-honeycomb-xwkl1-firmware-72067/
then install samsung apps or a launcher or everything else...
I've flashed it myself several times till now(I've bought my tab nearly a week ago and have almost boomed it)
if you have the same prob again tell me to upload some videos...

If ur loking for stable HC3.2 try Overcome 10.1 Series. Most stable for 3G GTab but removes too much from TouchWiz.
I would personally recommend GALAXY TASK 14 or Clean ROM 2.0 but only if u have WiFi only GTab.

thanx it work
but why there is no updates?
If you mean updates for android os,Ice cream sandwich and jelly bean have already been released(ICS without camera and JB without anything right now...).
I recommend only ICS CM nightly if you ever want to flash...
I rely on the tab to take pics a lot, so I cant afford to lose the camera. Clean ROM's developer seems to have moved on to another device, so I think I'm gonna go with Task. Thanks!
Ps: This may sound dumb, but how do you update CWM, and how to install the b00sted's themes here ? I downloaded it but have no idea how. Does it run on stock launcher?

the b00sted theme doesn't run on the launcher it replaces it...flash this too using clockworkmod...

Yeah, I figured out how. But dont know how to install the CWM touch, it's a *.img file. And about b00sted's themes, I meant do they run with stock ROM, sorry!

In order to install cwm touch, you have to put it in a .tar file and use odin. Or make a cwm flashable zip.
you can find non-touch recovery in here:

rooting bell galaxy note i717 4.0.4

I just picked up a i717 and I'm trying to root via this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1740367. I first tried to flash CWM with odin and then I tried a root file with odin then TWRP with odin but after all of them I still cannot get into recovery (it's still stock recovery). Any help would be appreciated.
Read through THIS THREAD.
I had issues when trying to root my Bell i717 as well. All the links to everything you need should be in there...just read...and read again.
in case you miss it or read too fast..
there is a point where you pull the battery so you dont have your recovery overwritten during boot..
once i was in cwm recovery i flashed a custom rom that did not have that "feature"

It all depends what you are looking for.
I want something I can record calls with, and something not bloated.. so I'm still searching for just the right Rom. I used to use wanam on the sgs2 and he spoiled me for all other developers.

Just got my note. Previously had the gnex. I have always used aokp. I plan to install it on this phone once i can get root lol.

[Q] Installing CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly P7500

Hi,
I have been watching the development thread of "CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly" since a couple of months now, and i guess its time to try it on my old tab P7500, but i have three questions and i would appreciate your help.
1- Any big issues with that rom regarding any feature .. cam .. etc , since the flicking issue seems to be solved.
2- Why gapps wont work directly am not sure if i understand the issue, but it seems that they dont work if anyone updated them from store, please correct me .
3- Reading the thread and CyanogenMod 10.1 wiki, am now really lost, cause i never tried this before, so can anyone help me with an easy step by step to install CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly on my tab ? along with the back.
Thanks alot

Do i need to install custom kernel or anything like that ?
simple...from stock 4.0.4
use odin 1.85 to install recovery 6.0.3.3 for p4
copy over the custom rom and gapps ( if you use wrong gapps you will get bootloop)
then from recovery install custom rom and gapps
reboot tab and voila

Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500)
Hi all.
I have a galaxy tab 10.1 GSM (P7500).
I flashed the correct version of CM (nightly builds) and the gapps as instructed. I did this 3 times already with different versions.
All is fine except the screen becomes unreadable after a screen timeout and back on. This happens every time. The only way to get the screen back is to reboot it. But the minute you switch the screen off and on, the problem is back.
This doesnt happen if I flash the official rom.
I have looked all over for a solution. This is my last resort. I dont want to go back to the official rom since its old and i like the new features of the Android 4.2.2.
I attached a picture of the screen

Reboot with Cyanogenmod
Hello!
I was using cm-10.1-20130727-NIGHTLY-p4 on a Samsung Tab 10.1 P 7500 since August 2013. About two weeks ago the device started do to an instant shutdown of the device
- when opening chrome
- when checking memory
- when trying to remove chrome, even with ES File Explorer.
Chrome version is 34.0.1847.114
This behaviour is reproducible.
I updated to the February 16 2014 nightly - no change.
I wiped Data and cache in recovery mode - no change.
I get no reboot using chrome beta 35.0.1916.86
How can I get a logfile of the crash?
Where can I send it?
Any other recommendations?
Thank you
Where can I send it?
