I have a galaxy tab 10.1 wifi gt7510
I tried installing galaxy task 14 slim and fat , wiped everything and reinstalled , i still get this problem.
Here's the picture of what i get , i get it right after standby is pressed or screen is shut for timeout or ect .... it stays like this until the tab is restarted and i MUST restart ... what is wrong? clockwork mod? mine's still 4.0.0.4

Hello.
I'm having problems with my Samsung GT-I9000 ( Galaxy S 1 ), and was hoping I could get some help here.
About 4 maybe 5 months my phone has been having crashes (Is as close as I can explain them)
This is what happens:
- Talking to somebody on Whatsapp (for example, but it also crashed on me while playing games, and even when calling)
- I lock the screen and lay the phone down
- After about 2-3 seconds, the screen lights up. And shows me the conversation but does not respond
- Phone goes black for about 5 seconds
- Light vibration
- Screen shows the lock screen, loads my background and scans for media
This happens randomly about 5-10 times a day now. (Depending on how much I use the phone)
It also sometimes just turns off without any animation or sound.
What have I tried:
I first thought it was the ROM, I'm sorry if I make mistakes here but I'm a noob.
The ROM was put on there by a friend of mine, it was called Darky's ROM.
I tried to put a differed ROM on it, but the tutorials failed on me and I killed the phone. Not the "Black screen of death" but beyond that point. It wouldn't even turn on anymore.
Then I send it back to the provider, they took 2 weeks to fix it and I had my phone back. I think they put the default ROM on it but I'm not sure.
Anyhow, this did not fix the problem. As soon as I had my phone back from repair, it still crashed.
I have also updated the phone with Samsung Kies, as shown in attachment 1
Now I don't know if I should send it back again, since they couldn't fix it in the first place, or to just live with it.

It's the default ROM they put on again.
I have a friend with the same phone and her's is acting so slowly for such powerful device!
Try setting up a new ROM. I know it's hard, but it's better with the no-lag fix etc...
i heard Darky's Rom is really good, but I bet there are other ROMs who are amazing.
Tutorials are kinda hard to follow for that device, but you can do it
But putting a new ROM on it didn't help.
I can believe the default slows it down, but this problem started on the Darky's rom, and is also still happening with the default.
Is not so difficult, you can change a ROM in like 10min. Try to update your phone to ICS, I'm using ICSSGS and it's blazing fast

My SIII screen keep auto lightning up (and turn off) 3 to 5 times for every ~5 minutes without any notifications or messages incoming. Can anyone help me to fix this error?

Hi I also experienced the same thing after updating to the current firmware thru Kies (im currently at i9300XXALF6) but before updating it I didn't have this symptom before, also my friend is experiencing this after the update also.
It just shows the lock screen for no reason.

no , I thought it was because of some new apps I just install. I uninstall them , still happen
then I update the new firmware through Kies , still the same
I even tried turn off the auto brightness --> still happen

I have searched a lot with no success. I am sure I read about an application that can do this a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately I can't find out where I read that !
Basically I want to turn off the screen of my phone without putting it to sleep. So Youtube will continue buffering and a game will continue running.
My phone is GSM Galaxy Nexus running CM 10.
Any help will be appreciated.

if you wait till the screen turns off it will stop the game/buffering.
There is an app for this but I can't find it.
Select none in screen lock type. This might work Cuz it ain't locking the screen!

So the problem is: I have an android phone Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i. I have got wifi , belkin router in my home , which i use to connect my laptop and cell phone to browse on internet! There is no problem in browsing from laptop indicating there is no problem with my wifi settings or anythng related to wifi!
BUT, on my phone, when i turn wifi 'ON' , the wifi works for 2-3 minutes then it automatically disconnects and then instantly reconnects itself! I dont really have problem with this thng but the other day i was upgrading my swype to swype beta and had to download this application but the app is too large sized that in the middle of the downloading my wifi went off thereby stopping the download(n sadly its non resumable). I am a huge fan of swype and have been using it for quite a while now. I want it upgraded at any cost!
I know this wifi turn on/off problem is faced by many but this is quite a headache nw! I have come to know about 'POWER SAVING MODE' n stuff, but sadly i can't even get to that menu coz i dont know how to!

Wifi setting>advanced settings>wifi sleep policy>never.
Or follow screenshots.
Also ask your questions in the question section next time

Hello All,
I'm hoping someone can help with this. I'm currently running X Note Build 15 on my Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005, and it works very well. I saw yesterday that X Note Build 16 was available, so I installed it. Everything seemed to work fine, until I went into Settings and tried to change Lock Screen from Swipe to Password. After I'd entered the password for the second time, Settings just seemed to lock, and then I had a notification that the external SD Card was OK to remove - it had unmounted it! I tried again, and this time it seemed to work OK but Lock Screen still said Swipe - it had ignored the input.
I had a backup of Build 15 so I'm OK for the time being, but I'd very much like to know why this strange behaviour might be happening. Hope someone can shed some light.
