I have a Verizon 6800 and being stupid I installed the 3.16.651.0 Sprint Rom on my phone. I reverted back to the original Verizon stock rom with no problem and I'm back on the Verizon network.
But now I have installed DCDs Verizon beta 2.0 rom with the new radio and somehow I am stuck on Sprints towers again. I can tell because it tells me *228 isn't a valid feature code.
My guess is that the "unofficial" Sprint Rom wrote something to the phone that the new radio rom refers to when installed. Is there a way to get it to the Verizon network with the new rom and radio installed?

Thanks for responding. But I am having trouble locating one. Do you have a link to a download?
I found a PRL from 2004, would that be too old?

Thank you so much
Fantastic, I am back on the Verizon towers for phone calls.
But now when I try to use the data I get an error:
Error Code: 11
PPP Connection Error
Any clues how to get data back?

All of my settings are setup just like yours. When I was on the phone with Verizon we created two new connections and didn't work either.
To rule out being a tower refresh issue, I am going to put a non-pda phone on my account then put the 6800 back on.

Ok that didn't work either. So it is something definitely on the phone itself. Any ideas anyone?
AKEY?
are you getting an authentication error when dialing *228 or *86? If so, then your AKEY is probably blank. You'll need to contact VZW for it. I might have to call them again cause me being an idiot didn't write it down when I called them for it the 1st time.
I'm getting authentication errors again and lo and behold, my AKEY is missing. I didn't even do a hard reset or flash another rom/radio. Weird.
I'm getting the same error now. I just got my A-Key refreshed from VZW tech support, but now I can't connect to the data network.
Same error here. I updated to new Sprint rom and DCD 3.0.1..
I think i messed up the first time and let Sprint customizations run. I have tried to flash back to original vzw rom, but still can't connect to data network. I have had vzw gen new A key and refresh my data package.
Anyone have a solution for this?

I can't find a solution for re-flashing the radio - what did you do there?
I think you did flash the Sprint rom - and let the customs run - are you fully resolved there (*226, epst @ 000000 etc...)?

Just for sanity, the AKEY is always blank. You can't see it after you enter it on Verizon. You also can't re-use it. It's a one shot deal.
I have had this error regardless of any rom (DCD or NexVision). The issue is not being able to connect the vzw network. I don't receive it when I am on wifi but I do if there is a wifi I cannot connect to due to a security key. BTW I have a data block. I phoned support once on the issue and that is the best they could do. Sorry if this isn't helpful.
I just updated to the current Alltel 6800 ROM. After setting up the phone and doing a hard reset, I noticed I have no data connection. I put in my#@alltel.com in the connection settings for the Alltel wireless connection. Tried *228 to update either the PRL or activate the phone, but get a message that programming could not be completed. I've tried to ##775 and ##778, but 000000 is not accepted when I'm asked for the unlock code. Any suggestions?
just got off the phone with Alltel
They had no idea what was going on. I spoke with their level one and two reps and they referred me to the insurance replacement number (glad I paid for that!). It's weird since I can make and receive calls on the phone.
**228 Not working
I upgraded to the new Alltel ROM and am having a problem when I dial **228 I can't do either option '2' or option '3'. I am able to receive and send calls and my data connection works fine, but I've got a flashing triangle on the today screen saying that I'm roaming. I talked to Alltel and they didn't give me any help. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Keir

Are you performing **228, or *228? If so, that's your problem right there. You only need to dial with one "*".
Verify what's the PRL version in your phone. If you're area has EVDO it should be 40036, if not, it should be 30031.

If you can't get it working from Gelial's instructions, you may also want to check the SID in EPST. After I upgraded and activated, it still didn't set my SID correctly for whatever reason so I was roaming all the time. You can manually go in and change it in EPST assuming you wrote it down beforehand.

Sounds like somethings not setup right in EPST but if you can't get in.... that's a whole other issue. I didn't have any problem with the upgrade changing my unlock code, I did see this in the past with the Sprint upgrades though. You may want to try GetSPC to see if the MSL code it generates for you works. It may be worth a shot...
Just got an HTC One made for T-Mobile and when I insert my mirco sim I get a WiFi Calling Error: ER05 and get zero service. The phone recognizes the phone number on my sim. Is there a solution to this problem? I'm on 4.1.2. The IMEI also checks out on T-Mobile's website.
Maybe I should just re-word the entire thing by saying I get limited service but zero bars, but it says emergency calls only. The previous owner had T-Mobile and it worked for them.
I'm just looking for a way for my T-Mobile HTC One to recognize that I have T-Mobile.

This is very simple fix.. the error is a WiFi calling error once u turn WiFi on it makes calls over WiFi only
The problem is you get the red WiFi icon and error cause u have to
Update your 911 emergency. address
Under your my tmobile app
Under services add your home address and Info then submit .
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium

I've done this and the error goes away but still no service, it does however say emergency calls only.
Hi folks,
I noticed last month on my Telus usage that my phone was showing data usage. I have set the APN type to supl, mms (removed default) so I didn't understand why there was data showing up. Telus was not helpful in identifying the packets.
I installed a tool called Network Log and added some filters. Based on the timestamps in my Telus usage and the logs, I have been able to identify the traffic as follows:
Application: (-1) Kernel
SRC: various, e.g. 100.123.71.10, 10.205.174.50, 10.206.97.89
DST: 255.255.255.255
Length: 306
Interface: UDP/rmnet_usb0
Protocol: BOOTP
Any ideas why the phone would be receiving this type of traffic?
I've checked my data usage from when I got the phone and it seems like it has been experiencing this all along.
After some Googling I found this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=1342337
Which doesn't answer my question and also seems to be affecting a desktop. I used a traceroute tool on my phone to confirm that the IP is reachable over my 3G connection. Weird.

10.x.x.x addresses are internal networks addresses. So it's coming from your provider. Where does it trace?

Not very useful. For example, it goes:
1. 91.1.138.8
2. 10.233.166.225
So not very deep within the Telus network. I guess I need to reach out to them. I find it odd that my phone would be receiving the traffic but not others.

It is a bit strange, but since you're technically still connected to their gateway, they can send you those packets.
It's mostly strange that they need to send you boostrap packets. If you enable data back, do you still get them?
Maybe for some reason they're not allowing you an address using dhcp because you removed default. Just a thought like that.

Interesting thought, I enabled data earlier so I will see if the requests stop coming in.
They did not stop unfortunately. I have been in touch with Telus support and sent them some timestamps and the data that I have logged. Hopefully that will help.

Good luck with that. Do you know about the bootstrap packets though? I mean, they're not harmful, and I would find it surprising that Telus takes those into account.

Me too. I don't get it either. All I have to go on are the logs (which seem pretty comprehensive) giving me a timestamp that corresponds to the "Data Usage" entry in their account/billing screens.
So i upgraded to the latest lollipop ota and all was working well but i wanted to root so i could remove some of the bloatware. Try ##UPDATE# in the dialer. Choose the corresponding numbers.
It'll do a hands free activation and should fix your problem.
Thank you i will give this a shot when i get home.

I'm a Boost Mobile Rep that's the code to reactivate the device to make sure that it's not the problem and when you do it make sure your connected to Wifi, once you are you can use the code again and it should work provided that you are in the service area.
