Every time I reboot my phone, pull battery, flash new room my phone boots up with no service. I have to turn airplane mode on and off for phone to get service.
It doesn't do this with the ota or tmo stock. I've tried different roms as well and still no go.
Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there something I can do to fix?

On stock it works fine. And anyways I downloaded .3 r2 ruu and just flashed that since I was running .3 (first version) which hadn't worked with any rom. Now after flashing stock energy rom for the first time it's working.
So not sure if its the new ruu version or stock energy or combination of both.
I'm gonna try speed rom since energy seems to drain quickly.
Q. If I try a Rom based on the previous ruu like the first version of .3 will my build/baseband version revert or will I keep my phone updated to latest revision or not. Because I'm happy with the r2 version

Yeah I agree with you but I wanted to cover my grounds and track it down making sure it wasn't any of this being a problem with my original issue. But back on my issue. The r2 ruu is so far the best one for me as I am not having any issues yet. What are you using?

I've only used tmo and telus as a daily driver, I get great battery life, performance and no issues at all on telus, was a bit laggy on tmo, but it smoothed out, but the bloatware tugs on the battery and my nerves at times and the htclinkify fix doesn't fully fix the app associations thing that the US version of the firmware update the way it is without that feature at all with telus stock.

nope, seeing as everything is the same as what we have already. VZW switched their network back to what it was before the outage a while back, that could be it.

so which radio is useable with CM7?
I tried to flash it last night running the MR2 radio and that didnt work. I had no signal whatsoever even after doing the procedure in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13348917&postcount=1
please help. CM7 looks so wonderful but i cant even get it to work
CM7 works just fine with the 2.5 - 3.5.
the latest 3.5 (802) however produces poor 4G performance. it's best to use 2.5 for 4G.
What's a rom that has good battery life and speed? Also need stability but understand there will be bugs on most roms. I hate the laggy ness on stock.
What recovery is recommended for installing roms? This is the Sprint version. Oh and I need a rom with 4G working, I don't have Wi-Fi at home and 3G on Sprint is a joke.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
My understanding is (and Im stupid) 4G is lost when you unlock but if you dont have it anyway, why care? 3G is a joke and i rarely use it!
As for recovery, look for me "I F'ed UP" thread. you loose everything, but you get your phone back!

Assuming you are still on 2.3.4 and not 2.3.5 you can use mofs rom. Its generally a stock rom but you'll get 1080p camera, some bug fixes, notification bar toggles and much less lag. You'll just need to root, install bootstrap recovery, and flash it.

Ever since updating to 2.3.5 I've noticed battery life that's better than ever. And the lag can be rid off of simply by choosing a different launcher from Blur. Like Go or ADW. IMO.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
I am actually on 2.3.5 and I put go launcher on last night. So far it's cool, better than stock blur. I was hoping there'd be a decent rom out but I understand having locked boot loaders really sucks. Thanks for all the helpful replies!! I really appreciate it!!

Is it safe to flash this firmware? Will it reset my esn/meid to the original?

Are you currently running the most updated 605.19 stock radios?
You ARE if you go to settings, about phone, software information, more, and the baseband version reads 1.49.00.0406w_1, 0.01.79.0331w_1
If these are not the numbers you see, flash these radios from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24992678
If these are the numbers you see, then it should be working properly. If not, you may have installed an older version of Eternity. Check to make sure you flashed the most updated one.
Or the 4G in your area may be simply going in and out. Try flashing another ROM to verify this.

I'm pretty sure the LTE radios they used were from the 2.11.605.19 OTA. They may have flashed a different CDMA radio, but Idk. The leaked LTE radio causes most phones to reboot a lot.
Here's a link to the combo radios though. I suppose it never hurts to try them out... the outcome varies by phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30974567
But it is still recommended to use the 2.11.605.19 radios... which I posted a link for them above.

I've even had luck with the old 2.11.605.9 radios.
Try them if you'd like.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396408
Just be careful flashing different radios. If you flash a bad radio, it can brick you.
Also, I was always told to never flash the same radio that is already installed. So if you flash the .9 radios and they are currently installed, don't flash them again until you flashed a different radio.

Looks like a new update will be pushing out soon. Just a maintenance update with some fixes.
Info here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-605-2-710rd-bringing-a-slew-of-improvements/
Anyone know what this means for us on custom roms?? Are we going to have to RUU back and take the update then go back to the Rom. I hope not. Hopefully most roms can just add the fixes. New radio though. Not sure about that.
I really like some of those improvements.
I think roms will be able to implement them though. You won't have to ruu or anything crazy like that.

If we're on a custom kernel and/or rom will we get the update? I remember on Moto phones you have to be on the stock firmware with all its bloatware intact to get an update, though being rooted didn't matter.

I think it will be the same. No update unless you are on stock. I'm pretty sure all Rom devs turn off the auto-update ability. It would not install anyway.
Might just be careful though ..I know when I was on the Maxx and took the update we lost root and it was a while before new root was found .. just something to keep in the back of your mind..
It would of been nice to see a battery improvement on that list

like for me I select 2.4ghz only wifi will cycle off and on repeatedly and never connect to my home network.. if i select auto band it connects just fine.

Hopefully they screw up something so we can hack and get s-off ;D haha...is that possible? or s-off via software not going to be a thing on this device?
Either way, hope improvements are good for users who don't root.
Well I don't see the point of having both 2.4ghz and 5ghz WiFi radios running since I don't use 5ghz at all.
