Thanks for the info. I'm trying it now. Only thing that looks out of place not mentioned above is the screen rotation for videos. I know it will probably dealt with in the near future. So I'm not complaining. Just letting others know just in case they have the same thoughts about it. It is in portrait instead of landscape when I would like to go "full" screen in youtube and video players. Other than that it feels smoother overall than the EB builds lately. Awesome work Krylon360!
This is awesome! Thank you so much

It says hw accel works. does that mean opengl for games etc, but not the UI? I believe it means for just games etc but wanted to confirm
UI is accelerated. OpenGL is enabled. Working on other stuff as we speak. Hope to have flash working tonight then I can concentrate on completing the port of OMAP_ENHANCEMENT.

Not sure what you mean by this. Youtube operates how its supposed to for me...I'll look into it though.
Thanks for making this available. I read on rootz thread about adjusting the width of the navigation bar if the buttons bunch up in the corner. I have tried that adjustment, but still have that issue in most apps. Should I try more settings? Thanks, I am on the latest build.

I fixed it. I had to wipe the rotation data in recovery and all is well. Thanks Krylon360 for the solid build! My nook feels like it ate buttah and its all smooth inside now. lol.
Excellent work! I just flashed this on top of the latest Mirage rom. Took a couple restarts for everything to settle down (superuser didn't want to allow ROM Control at first), but things seem to be working as promised now.
On the homescreens though, space seems to be limited. The top and bottom of the homescreens are not accessible for widget placement, etc. I've tried a few different launchers but and looked through all the settings but no joy.
Would changing the DPI help?
late,
Coz
EDIT: odd....changing the horizontal and vertical margins in Trebuchet launcher had no effect, however, changing same for Apex resulted in more homescreen real estate.

Can we get this thread moved to the B&N Android Development section please.
late,
Coz
Messing with this now. LOL @ the boot animation Gonna have to 'splain that one to the wife.
I changed the bootanimation with the stock ics one. Other than that this rom is the best that I have checked so far. Also, I haven't checked thoroughly but it seems that the stutter that plagues the music players in CM7 and CM9 is gone!
Moving this to development..
thanks Divine.
I've been making a lot of core changes the past 2 days. Should have a new build up soon and I'll make this an official post.
Talk about your butter-smooth Nook! Rejoice, as the day has finally come! *toning down the drama*

I really wouldn't consider 5 seconds of netflix playback working, but it's a start.
for those asking about HD? Not going to happen. The Nook doesn't support HD...hell CM7 didnt even support HD. So stop asking.

Im going to give you the universal answer to any rom related question about features
SOON™
You have made me vary curious young grasshopper. I must try me some.
The biggest issue for me with CM9 has been the battery life. With CM7 Mirage I can go all week without charging with moderate use. CM9 would drain just sitting there usually requiring a recharge every day.
Tried this out on an SD install. Aside from random lockups (known issue, I see) it's pretty nice. It's definitely not as fast as CM7, but pretty usable. Nice work! :good:

No force closes for me, besides the one mentioned in the OP. The only issue I'm having is from the Market, it won't download apps.
Edit: Music app doesn't recognize any music from my sdcard2.

Is anyone else missing Gmail? Looks like it was in data, added into system/app and am golden now.
Nice rom, but way too many things not working. No gmail, system ui keeps crashing, calender stops working error every 3 seconds. I am sure you are very hard at work on this, keep it up, it is a great step in the right direction. Would love to have this as my daily rom.

I think he put the Gmail.apk in data/app on accident not sure? All you have to do is put it into /system/app and you'll have Gmail. Turn sync off on calander and you won't have that issue at all. Sytemui generally only crashes during calls for me, but not all the time. I am not sure on how to fix this one.

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

This is a build 100% based off Entropy512's fantastic work found here. Builds are made straight from the latest CM, THS & TheMuppets github repositories.
CM10 is still in early development. In Entropy512's own words: "You want to live on the bleeding edge, you're probably gonna get cut"
Visit his CM10 user thread first to read up
Check BBQLogs for some good general (read: not i777 specific) reference on CM10 changelogs: http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#galaxys2/cm10/next
Usual disclaimers apply. I am not responsible for anything that occurs after flashing this ROM, including but not limited to:
- Spontaneous wetting of oneself
- Plastic in your underwear melting
- Increased popularity
Instructions
1. Enter CWM.
2. flash both the ROM and gapps
3. full wipe if coming from anything other than CM10
4. Reboot and dance the happy dance
Note: this is a native kang, not a ported ROM.

gapps download link: http://goo.im/devs/Fusion777/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
Working:
ROM is pretty much fully functional, including:
Calls / MMS, BT Stereo Audio & Tethering, WiFI Tethering, Themes,NFC including Tapp functionality, Torch Toggle, MTP/Mass Storage mode
Glitchy:
* memory leak may motivate you to reboot every day or so
* Gallery doesn't sync with Picasa web
Special to this kang:
- 5Ghz Wi-Fi patch
- Meticulously clean and human-reviewed build environment
Extra Info
This ROM is the same as the nightlies, except for above changes & that I test it on my own phone before publishing. That said, numerous people suggest this Kang has a more reliable feel to it than the nightlies.
If you enjoy this ROM, don't forget to stop by Entropy512's user thread and share the love

True story. I personally dig having the newer 'minor' stuff. To each their own
May be a stupid question but when I click on the BBQ changelog then click on downloads. It says its for CM9?? Just wondering if they didnt change it to CM10? Thanks for doing this. Im going to give this a shot. Think I will hold off on this. Just checked the downloads again. One says galaxy s2 and the one underneath it says galaxy s2 att? I see the att one is cm7? Would like a little more info. Better to be safe than sorry!! Thanks.
Thank you for a more up to date version.
Edit: Going to flash now, dl speed for the gapps was low.
Is there a specific change log?

The BBQ log site is definitely a little wonky you have to keep selecting 'cm10'. Don't let the change logs mislead you, this is definitely an i777 build with additional i777 updates by teamhacksung, the bbqlogs don't reflect this.
I'm looking for a more appropriate composite change log for our devices and will update OP when I find it.
The gerrit one http://review.cyanogenmod.com is fairly well organized but again not filtered by our device.

Google CM10 and you'll have your screen shots. Its a stock looking rom. You can picture it in your head.
Is anyone having a brightness issue? My brightness is about 50%, no auto. Anyways, is is a lot brighter on the home screen and when you go to an app the brightness is lower? To proof this, when you go to the home screen, and go to the recent apps the brightness is normal in the windows of the apps

New to Alpha 3:
Not much: that's about it. Few added features that were added from October until January, but not much has really changed.
Known Issues:
Recovery: Recovery has been fixed since Alpha 2, but flashing ROMs doesn't work. Restoring nandroids will work fine however.
Bluesleep/Deep Sleep: at it's current state, Alpha 2 doesn't have the bluesleep fix in it. This is because when it is enabled the proximity sensor doesn't turn the screen back on when it's supposed to also causing the phone call to kill audio. This problem can also occur by toggling bluetooth ("fixing the bluesleep"). The only known work around is to press the home button and swipe your finger across the sensor. Thanks to 32BitWhore for the help.
Stability: While not exactly an issue as CM10 is INCREDIBLY more stable than CM9, that doesn't mean that it's 100% yet. As of now, I've only had the broswer crash twice and the notification drawer flicker once. Your milage will vary.
Camera: At it's current state, the camcorder will not work like in CM9. I can't really do much about that for the moment or at all.
Some ICS/JB Apps Will Crash: This is noticeable on Chrome for example. This is because our drivers don't have External OES Textures. Basically that means when the apps want to draw using them (such as with Chrome's tab preview) the app will crash. This is the same problem on CM9/ICS. There is nothing we can do.

Than You once again! I I have religiously checked the forum for this.
Is the kernel optimized for our device or "patched" similar to ICS/CM9 port?
**after more reading in this post, looks like kernel is patched.....

the gapps download is being slow.. like 400bytes/s to 4kb/s with comcast. cellphone downloading it faster by far.. must be a routing issue? cant wait to try it!
edit, and now at like 80% on cellphone pc shoots up to 2.4MB/s way to waste my data
Holy skeet. Downloading now!!!
Way to go dzk, never thought I'd see JB in any form on the X2. And I'm pleasantly surprised you mention it's more stable than cm9, I wonder why that is? Regardless, I'll be trying it very soon!

Its just goo.im being itself. Pretty much always slow.
I really appreciate your hard work on getting all the way up to CM10 on this abandoned phone, though I'll probably be staying on CM7 unless we ever get HWA.
mms
I tried installing go sms but even though it does mms they are still not getting through

But not sorry, you are awesome!
Hi, just install the rom but im having fc with the contacts app when trying to restore them, any suggestions.
Tiny Font size
Anyway to increase the size of the fonts across each apps top bar?
The pulldown menu on the upper right side is extremely tiny
Solved: Able to go into Settings>Display>Display Density
I set it to 540 and now everything is visible
Anyone able to use this ROM with gsm? And how?
Rom is amazing, been running for a few days. Only minor issues I've encountered are subsystem crash blue screen once, and 3rd party email app notification icons have a red badge on top of the icon itself.
EDIT: badge issue seems to be launcher related, tried 3 different launchers, happens on 2 out of 3.
sent from my LG G3
intermittent bluetooth
At times while on my bluetooth headset listening to an audio app, the music would cut on and off as if the signal degrades from distance.
It lasts for about a minute then returns to normal. Quite annoying.
Anyone else experience this?
google play heart attack
i flashed illusion ls990 on my phone. rom is wicked nice. but when i plug in head phones the voice dialer comes up constantly at random. as well as google play can only play one song and then no other track can be played and my phone wonks out until i close and that doesnt always work i sometimes have to reboot
Dirty Flash
Has anyone had success dirty flashing from 2.0 to 2.01 on Sprint LS990? I get through flash and optimization of apps but right after it's done optimizing I can't get further than the boot animation for the rom. During rom install I also flash GA Apps and SuperSU. Flashing back to 2.0 and after optimization everything boots up no problem.
By the way, I love this rom. Super awesome and I use it as my daily driver without issues so far. Few bugs here and there but nothing I can't live with.

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the Status Bar email notification count size? It's super tiny, really hard to see how many new emails I got. This is not related to Display DPI that I already set to 540. Not a problem, but would be great if I can increase the size of that.

I saw a post in a different ROM thread that suggested flashing the ROM first, letting the phone boot up, and only after that flashing Gapps. Don't know if that will help here, but it might be worth a try. I'd wait and flash SuperSU later, too.
Thanks. I went ahead and did a clean install. That did the trick. There must have been some big changes maybe between the versions. Running smoother than 2.0 and Everything working except NFC but I don't use it.
Miscellaneous Battery Drain
I have noticed my battery is half as good as it was on stock. I noticed after a full day 50% of my battery use is miscellaneous process. I read somewhere it might be a wifi bug. Does anyone know what this might be? Any way to prevent it? Searching around seems like a lot of people see the same on Lollipop roms.
Best rom so far?
I agree. Killin the rom game! Good job.
Still cant find that screen shot from cm
anyone know where it is? or is not installed yet? thanks
this was posted on on vanir
Vanir has released 3 lollipop builds and most things work(check through vanir updater) but they still suffer the same issues all cm L5 roms do. They could be fixed but the real reason I haven't jumped on lollipop is a lack of features. Xposed isn't supported due to ART so you lose that functionality as well. I'm giving them time to catch up because lollipop doubled battery life for me but I need more options for a daily driver and kit kat is solid in that respect.
hater!....
everything is working fine for me,
Okay to edit mixer paths .XML to increase audio?
Ok I tried the latest official one from dec 24th and first build out of all L versions that does not have the misc. battery bug. I've been running 3 days now with 20+ hrs battery life with light to med use. Keep up the great work!
volume
Can we get the volume in headphones a boost love the rom so far but the volume is way to low
WTB GSM Support
Does this rom support GSM? Im on MetroPCS and data is fine on the stock LG rom but when I flash to lollipop roms I get "Sprint" service and no signal
From my initial findings.
Regardless of animation scale touch seems to be delayed compared to other 5.0+ builds
Double tape to wake & sleep delayed
Incoming calls screen does not turn on
As usual with any new flashes I'll let it settle for several days and see how it responds. I'll try a one of the kernels, since I have yet to test one.
