CM7.2 RC1 (04/25/12) wifi on/off 463 / 447 milliamps
and then is : -8.7 percent per hour
. This RC1 is succulent's work .
reference :
Sony xperia arc s --ics, and quickly ramps down starting at ~350, 250, 90 . . . 80 / 75 milliamps
Haipad M7++ early alpha build of ics -- 317 milliamps
used : battery monitor widget pro
( when the app is damn good, i also 'try' to go pro )
What is your mA drain rate ?

Per your suggestion, I did the 'percentage rate per hour' too.
thx.
here are my battery spy results for two hours.

Using battery spy. 300Mhz-1200Mhz scaling conservative setting for CM7.2 6/18/12 Kernel 2.6.35.7 full charged, wifi on, live wall paper, screen timeout 2mins, display about 35% bright.
Normal use of tablet for two hours.

Is there a thread on over clocking the prophet ? tools? safely?
Battery Status! Nice tool and very stable!

BS rulez
I've set the CPU up to 273 mhz with BatteryStatus.
Absolutely stable.
Also the integrated tools in BS are verry comfortable.
Give it a try.
Greetings from Germany,

Sweet
Thanks Skylow
Ive over clocked it to 273mhz and wow is it fast& stable like you said ....thanks for the tip and greetz from Sweden
Hi !
I have also this speed for my S200, stable fast etc. no crash + I have dynamic overclocking "cpuscaler" settings.
min.:134 org.:195 max.:273
What do you think ? The oc is negative for battery uptime ?
Greatings from Hungary !
about 2 months ago, someone (I think it was Gullum) has noted that using cpuscaler has a negative effect on battery life as it prevents the device from going to sleep. I haven't used it ever since but also I haven't verified the effect. I always overclock my device to 273 and tap on the battery status today plug-in to set the speed back to 195 when oc is not needed (again, just as gullum suggested)
I have dynamic 123-175-208. Great for battery life for me.
amazing, after i overclock it to 273mhz im able to see the streaming video with no lags (live tv channels over wifi) !!!
im verry happy, watchin tvchannels on my prophet =)
I've heard that it has a bad effect on CPU and may cause CPU breakdown.
Is there anyone to verify that?
Bluetooth and overclocking
Hi!
Recently I discovered that if I overclock my devices (Prophet and Touch) I have a strange behavior using the bluetooth freehand environment integrated in my car. The WM Device connects and after a short time it disconnects suddenly. If I receive a call it takes a few seconds and it reconnects again - but you miss a few seconds of the phonecall!
With no overclocking everything works normal - bluetooth connect and disconnect if you leave the car.
(Btw my car is an Audi.)
Maybe somebody has the same problem.
Regards!
HAHA

i know,i use it too but do you use the application based overclocking feature for phone&camera?? today i noticed some missed calls that showed up 3hrs later... I was using 2.20.21 Radio rom and CPU at 260MHz.Now i flashed 2.19.21 and CPU at 273MHz...and no problems so far..
Is that safe push it that way??
270 is not too much???
how about temps??
thks
CPU clock
I have a Jamin G4 and here is the overclocks that I tested:
I use Batt Status and Set CPUscaler.
Range from 99 to 286MHz is stable for Prophet (in my case)
- more than 286MHz which is 299 or higher PDA freezes.
- under 100MHz, 99MHz the screen has a light flick.
- I believe lower clock will save battery and higher clock may shorten CPU life.
- use Cpuscale to vary the cpu clock, especially when idle, it drops to lowest, hence save more battery and as active the cpu will step up to the max limit where you set your max
- Don't overclock unless you have to.
- My reference: CPUScaler from 99 to 260Mhz for normal use. And set to 286MHz unless you need to like games.
Eg: I have tested 286MHz and played Skyforce Reload for a few hours... beautifully... no problem

Don't you have any problems with camera at this speed? Mine already at 221-247MHz has pure picture quality at highest resolution - some colors disapearing...

The same happens on my NEO when I go beyond 221 MHz. My camera shows weired colors.
had a strange issue with batterystatus today... i tapped on 'minimize' and it appeared to minimize to the system tray... but i cannot get it to come back. tapping on the phone icon in the system tray shows a maximize option,,... but it does not bring the today screen plugin back... :/
anybody see this issue?
is there an accurate battery monitoring app that works on the motorola atrix for mA amounts while the battery drains? and the reason I ask if there is one that is accurate, because I have tried using currentwidget, its shows no data for mA, but displays % and the mV. I am in the process of trying battery monitor widget now, but after going on almost to the end of 2 days, I don't believe it's actually accurate. While my phone is not being used and screen off it's lowest standby reading was draining between 15-22mA, losing about 1% of battery every 30mins or so according to the history readout.
im running cm7 beta, faux .2.0 1.3 kernel, radio n_01.77.30p, it's an unlocked motorola atrix from bell that im using on rogers. tegrapart d00
Nothing will give you an "accurate" mA reading unless you can tell the actual mAh capacity of YOUR battery rather than what the battery is rated at. Any app that reports mA is going to be calculating it according to the mAh you say the battery is (again, already inaccurate) and how quickly the battery level percentage is dropping. There is no mA reading that it can just report, its just guessing from given data.
For Battery Monitor Widget though, 15-22mA on standby is weird, I've used that app for months and it has always said 5mA discharge for standby situations. Did you tell the app your battery's mAh rating or is it still whatever the default value is?
its still default i guess, i went to calibration tab, the total max and min are empty
the other fields below say
max: 4205mV min: 3164mV
stored: 1880maH total: 1880maH
measured: pro version only...(that one is obvious...lol)
Your battery should be rated 1930maH unless you are using a non stock battery.

mV != mAh
mV measurement used in the BatteryCalibration app doesn't show your battery capacity. It can only be used as a reference point to when your battery is at 100%. (for 100% it should be around 4200mV).
yo i have problem to get 2750mA battery up to 8 hours
i get 60mA - 109mA current usage
even after locking the clock speed to 200mhz with setCpu
what value is normal ?
i tired clearrom ics and gb both have weird jumps from min to max
without something really running there

I used to see apps/widgets that tell you the useage/drainage of the battery in mA, but I haven't been able to find one lately
What are you using to determine your usage?
current widget
bump 10char
edit
preflock by HTC make the clock speed got crazy
lets wait for sc from them
Hey guys, I'm running CriskeloROM V7 + Siyah v3.0 RC3.
Do you have any good ExTweaks settings for me, to increase battery life / performance?
I'm getting 3205 with Quadrant.
My settings now are as following:
CPU: Hotplug default / 30% / 20% / 2 / 20% / 100jiffies / 800000kHz / AFTR+LPA / 0 / 2 / 2 / 2
GPU: 100MHz / 133MHz / 267MHz / 850mV / 900mV / 1000mV / 50% / 50% / 75% / 50% / 1sec / 1sec / 1sec
Screen: 5px / 40 / 0 / 20
Misc: 500MHz / ondemand CPU Governor / cfq IO Scheduler / AC:650mA,Misc,USB:450mA (Stock)

You do know its impossible to to get better performance and better battery life? More like a decision of one or the other. Although Quadrant doesnt really even mean anything to me (got a score of 4500 one time, and it lagged when I played golf 3, while it was smoother when I tried a different kernel with a score of 3000) at least with the tweaks above, I got 3300 with 1000MHz downclocked.
How do you know you have worse battery within just 20 minutes? So far, the phone was charged last 2 days and 14 hours ago and I still do have 37% left. I do admit I havent used it that much, but wifi has been on all the time.

I observe how long it takes for the battery to drop by 1 in 1 minute.
anyone has other settings for EXTWEAKS?
As usual people are being lazy. Like Voltage Control, there are too many variables to say 'these are good ExTweaks' settings.
In other words, experiment. Try different settings out for yourself.
had done many with VOLTAGE CONTROL and STABILITY TEST but for the GPU and the thresholds i cant see any differents...

well said.. what if you are a complete noob, trying to learn somthing, and afraid to screw up your device "experimenting" ?
hey
i start webbing the net and set the brightness to half sun [30% or 40%]
and got that leakage
2% of battery for one min of webbing very high
i played a bit with the brightness and it went down
i test it at power saving gov'
0% bright = 150 mA
100% bright = 350mA
very abnormal no ?
here pics with battery drain
edit:
using global FW
suil's sense4.1 rom
the transistor of the screen is not functional well ?
350 mA is pretty low actually, although I measure with Battery Monitor Widget by 3c.
Can you get GSAM Battery Monitor and post the results?
Sent from my HTC Rezound using Tapatalk 2
thx for reply i did the same test now
and still got 2% for min even on 0% bright
It's not screen, it's CPU using much current. Flash custom kernel and limit cpu max freq. and you will see much better battery life. I managed to have 6hrs of display on time while reading with same rom and funky kernel and cpu set to 500Mhz max in airplane mode
