I have a theme that I would like to share with HTC amaze community but every zip format & signed it say installation aborted. On my own phone any help would be appreciated. Theme includes systemui, frameworkres, & fusion. I tried the zipsigned apk from the market but no luck. How can I make an themed signed zip ?
Inbox me the folders that you want the zip to install to and I'll send you a zip file with the folders and scrips and instructions to add your files to it.
When it comes to a computer i'm more of a noob. All of my own themes i've done thru ninjamorph. No offence i'd need more info then that sorry man.

I'll give you a zip that's gonna install everything you have placed in the systems folder, that will includes things that go into the app/data/framework folders, etc, okay? To not lose the signature, you'll open the file with winrar and drop n' drop your sub-folders into their respective places, you can keep the script/empty zip for future use.

I don't kno if I'm doing something wrong. I tried to flash the theme.zip on my phone it just keeps saying installation aborted & says do to status 6 which ever that's means any ideas why this wouldn't work I'm s-off ,super.cid , 4ext recovery & sim-unlock could it be any of the scripts inside.

Ok I downloaded it. U swapped the apks & flashed it to my phone & it worked there's just one thing I have to rechange then it'll be ready but now the next thing is to upload the theme should I use drop box and register or something else?
I could upload it to devhost for you under my account so it won't be deleted and stuff. Dropbox is good too.

I had one error, I think it was on PhotoEditor.apk and PhotoEditor.odex. I've seen or used a built-in photo editor so I just removed those then restarted the deodex process for apps and it completed successfully.
just tried deodexing and yes, getting the same errors from the two apks as well. Ok thanks for the heads up will try again

Found 1 bug. The clock in notification bar is black in mine instead of white. Any idea why?

just get framework-res.apk, back it up, open it with winrar.
drag and drop the files, of the same name, that you would like to replace into the open winrar window. choose normal and 'add and replace', then close the window to save. replace the one in system/framework with your modified version.
Be sure to set the priviledges correctly after you copy into system/framework.
They should match the original, full read and user write.

Edit: Every time I replace the framework-res.apk I lose my google, twitter, and facebook accounts. Anyone know why, all I'm doing is replacing images.

The instructions are on the first page, but you need to be at least somewhat familiar with adb.

When you long press on any of the icons in the dockbar of LauncherPro you should see an option to change the icon. You need to have the icons/dock I attached saved to your sdcard ahead of time so you can choose "custom" for the icon and select the graphic you want to use.
For the dock you go to Menu -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Dock Background
* Pretty sure that's correct, but my phone is in on the charger in my bedroom where my wife is sleeping so I don't want to accidentally wake her up.
I've tried most of the roms out for this phone and like the new funk for 2.3.4 and the pull down toggles but I would like a black theme pull down instead of the blue I always see. I don't necessarily need someone to make it...I'd appreciate just a link to a how to or maybe even for making a rom...but Im taking steps. UOT instructions
1. Pull the rom zip off your phone place on desktop of cpu
2. Download 7 zip.. use this program.. right click on your rom zip.. click 7 zip.. extract files.. this will open up the zip and create a folder where u can now view and take out the 2 apks you will need..
3. Go into the folder and click framework...scroll down until u see a file called frameworkres.apk.. drag this onto your desktop
4. Go back one time and then click system.. then app...scroll down until u find systemui.apk.. again drag onto desktop
5.go into kitchen and make your mods.. always click on the box use this mod and also generate preview to see what u r doing
6. Make all your modifications then go to upload files
7. IMPORTANT ..always make sure u click amend script.. its default at binary.. we need amend scripting for our recovery
8.go to system files and upload framework Res.apk and system ui.apk from your desktop
8. Go to summary and and make sure everything is green.. if it is click submit work to kitchen..
9. Go to pickup page and wait for your cooked file to show up
10. Save to desktop then place on SD card
flash in recovery and reboot

it includes apps I describe in the video I am about to upload, to name a few, facebook, twitter, two angry birds you cant get on market, Es File Explorer, NT Highjack, NT Urooter. It was my first attempt at making a flashable zip, let me know what can be done to make it better. oh well. bring the criticism ;P
now everyone dont go crashing my public drop box links again. They already put me on a 3 day suspension before, next time could be a month, and that would mean more downloading from filfactory and sites like that!

First, you will need to choose a picture for your Lockring.
-IT MUST BE 271 X 270 PIXELS!
-IT MUST BE A .png FILE!
-It also needs to be rotated 180 degrees, and mirrored (horizontally flipped).
Save the image as Custom.png
You need to download the file I have attached:
LockRingMaker.zip
Extract the file wherever, and place the 'custom.png' in the extracted folder.
Double click the "Rename & Run.bat" file and wait.
Done!
If you want to create more than one LockRing, do not delete the .zip file as it cleans up after itself!
To install, flash through Clockwork. MAKE SURE TO NANDROID!!! IF I BRICK YOUR PHONE DON'T BLAME ME!

Hhhmmm worked for me. I only have to get the transparency worked out so that I have a ring and not a ring on a white square box.
I am using warm ROM and cm recovery if that maters.

Ahh, I am actually in exams so... I think the problem might be that your Rom is deodexed which doesn't work with this due to different files.
Im confused , i extracted the zip and a whole bunch of folders appeared , so i just put them all in a new folder , but the contents already had a Custom.png , a logo of Ohio state or something , so i deleted that and then clicked the rename and run.bat . Now what do i flash? The zip that says customlockring?.........nevermind , got it to work perfectly , this is great. Thanks.

It's what your using to save your image. Use Adobe PhotoShop or something comparable that you can use transparency & save. But I would recommend Adobe PhotoShop.

I couldnt get it to work with Mean also. Ive tried everything to change the lock ring for that rom but every time It boots up I have a blank lock screen.

This script will automatically push apk files along with a shell script to your device
under /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/APKs. It will then run the shell script which will copy
the apk files to /system/app/ and change the file permissions to 644.

1.) Place all apk files in the "APKs" folder that you want installed in the /system/app/ folder on your rooted device.
2.) Connect device to your computer after installing the correct adb drivers.

I changed dafault green smiles with smiles from SE Xperia...and everything works...when I tried it with file manager, everything was fine, but I can't set permissions, because I had always popup with errors And I had reinstall system...but this works super Thanks

thats what im working on, make a batch file in a dir along with a folder that you can place all apks in, click the bat and it does the rest, i asked around just waiting, i have it working for my themes in the theme section, i just want an easy way not to have to type out all that code
for every apk an odex file. a couple of lines is one thing but being able to drag anything into a folder no mater what the name, would be easy for us all!!

I guess everything could have been done from the batch script. It was just starting to look messy and I am more comfortable with shell.
To tell the truth, I am very rusty with batch scripting. I haven't messed with DOS in ages. Unix all the way!
