Hi all,
I have purchased some accessories for my device that are aluminum (Bumper cases, Aluminum Battery Doors, etc) and although they are VERY pretty, they of course cause me to lose signal bars especially at home (I live in a Basement Suite)...
Would something like this http://www.cellphoneshop.net/noname144.html (Old School Signal Enhancer) be effective and is it as safe to use on these "Superphones" as it was to use on the old phones?
Please advise your thoughts...
Thanks,
Bump... Anyone?
These types of "Signal Booster" sticker things are a scam. It always has been. If it affect the signal that much, I recommend you getting a plastic case

I don't know about that. I had one a long time ago that I used on a "dumb phone" years ago and truthfully it did make a difference.
What I want to know really is if it would be safe to use on a "smart phone"?

Bump...
I was wondering if anyone knew of a case/battery combo? I know most extended batteries for example a 5000mah battery, which I want, comes with another back panel but I'm actually looking for something to protect my phone. I don't know if I want to risk breaking or damaging my phone for longer battery life. If anyone is having the same problems or knows a solution please comment. Maybe we can solve this issue. Thanks

About the only one I can think of that MAY work is a bumper that would allow you to remove the original back. I don't remember which one it is, but I know one of the aluminum bumpers allows you to remove the backplate still, which I would think would allow clearance for the extended battery possibly.

Not sure if you were interested in bumpers or not but these are pretty slick. Expensive but great quality. No issues with reception for me though a couple people have posted in the international Note thread about small hits.
As far as I can tell should work with I717.

Looks nice but at 70 bucks you'd think they'd spend some of that to hire someone to proof read their website English content...

Looking at the sweet armor site, I saw that the Korean note has an extendable antennae?

No, the fact the antennae was on the bottom of the phone where you normally held it was why they switched the design. And plastic was just cheaper and more durable than the soft metal they were originally using. The metal did not affect reception. I used to own it

Wow, I love it. Reminds me of the e13ctron s4 case I had for my iphone 4. Thanks for the link, I may pick up one soon.
Looks really cool. Anyone get one yet?
I wish they had that combined with some rubber or silicone insulation.
Well I have an Otterbox Defender on my S4 and an extended battery on its way. I plan on doin the mod to cut through the battery cover and otterbox plastic. My one concern is that because the battery location is so close to the speakers there will be a gap near the speaker port. My question is what is the best way to get the silicone to stretch or shrink to better conform to the extended battery. I've heard about boiling the case, but didn't know how well it would work because it wouldnt be on the phone at the time. I was thinking maybe a heat gun and just make sure that the battery didnt heat up to much. Any advice would help. What would you guys do?
