Have you tried rebooting the phone? If so, but you could take a more advanced step by booting into recovery and clearing the cache.

Hey guys,
I have had my Vibrant for about 3 weeks and just started encountering the problem today. I received an MMS but it is stuck in downloading. I had no problems before today, and nothing has changed. I tried rebooting the phone. I tried turning off automatic retrieval and manually downloading the message.
Any suggestions?

I can't send them either
try it with STOCK music player first, then see if it works.
Are you on 3g? Might be an issue when the phone switches between edge and 3g
Yes I'm on 3g with full bars.

Have you tried going to Settings>Applications>Manage applications>click on "all">scrool down and find messaging>clear data. Worth a try.

Have you tried a factory reset or Odin and reflash? Looks like that's what to try next.
Also, when you locate messaging in manage applications there should be an option to turn on compatibility mode. Maybe try that??

Hey Everyone,
So I've been running ICS alpha 2 since its been released and all of a sudden i stopped receiving text messages? Does anyone know the fix to this, i think i've tried everything except flashing a GB rom? Did anyone else have this problem is is it just me?
Thankful for any help given
You didn't freeze any text apps did you?....if your using a third party app like handcent make sure its set to defult...and stock message app just leave the app alone and turn off notifications....make sure u didn't freeze anything by accident ..or uninstall the text app and reinstall....not sure bud...

For instagram users!
Hi guys, do you have this kind of problem lately? (see attached photo)
Pictures have been distorted, specially when adding effects. It has those circles in the middle. It destroys the photos. I'm wondering if it's just me, or other SGA users also experience this. Thanks!

I don't know how to do that because I'm using S2E. Anyway, something weird and unfortunate happened. I cleared data, uninstalled, then reboot. Then phone just had a loooooooooot of force close issues. Then removed battery, reboot again, phone won't f****ng start! Stucked on boot logo. Had to flash a nandroid back up, then installed instagram, updated it, then it's fixed again. Weird. But hey it was solved though!

Go to Settings -> Apps -> All and then look for whatsapp. Clear the cache and data and force stop it. Start it again and hopefully the problem should be gone.

Haven't had this issue with whatsapp on HSPA+. Just introduced a friend to whatsapp the other day, had her send me a picture when I was sitting right next to her, and I received it nearly instantly.
no problems on mine using H/H+ on t-mobile

Hi guys!
Currently running miui and I've started having some issues. The experience is flawless expect for one little thing, I can't make calls. It used to work but has all of a sudden stopped working.
There is only silence when I attempt to make a call, however the phone I'm calling rings, but if picked up you can't hear anything. Then it would automatically hang up and say no service.
It seems like the phone isn't latching onto the network or disconnecting when I make a call at least.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sir, doesn't this sound like a problem either with the Modem or some system files (Like phone.apk) ?
Well, you are the senior.
Just a doubt actually..
It is just a possible solution, derived from similar problem on aosp, worth a try
Hey guys. Lock sounds are on. Still can't hear calls even when they connect and are picked up.
It worked when I cleared data for phone.apk but only for 2 calls and now it stopped working again..
Messages and internet work fine though.

Try re-flashing MIUI with a fresh install
Then it should work again. I'm using MIUI without a problem ( I know, I have to update my signature)
CyanogenModded Very China-like, from my Samsung Galaxy S III
LG Familyguy59/Beatsleigher
Had to reflash 3 times for it to work. Let's hope it doesn't die out on me again!
