[Q] How to fix wifi issue - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Yesterday, I have updated my SGS2 from GB(ver 2.3.5) to ICS(ver 4.0.3).
My SGS2 details are as follows:
PDA : I9100XWLP7
PHONE : I9100DDLPA
CSC : I9100DDLP9
Build info : Tue Apr 3 19:44:49 KST 2012
Model number : GT-I9100
Android version : 4.0.3
Baseband version : I9100DDLPA
Kernel version : 3.0.15-I9100XWLP7-CL340913 [email protected] #3
Build number : IML74K.XWLP7
Yesterday onward my SGS2 is not connecting to any wifi except Mobile data (Provided by sevice provided). It's detecting wifi and showing as connected and when try to browse google or android market it show "No connection"
Someone please help me :crying::crying::crying:
I have attached both the screen shot for the reference.

- First try to turn off the energy save mode (at least for test)
- Checked if other device have inet? (Maybe router doesn't send anything)
- Then u can try to slash an other kernel.
- Last think, reflash!

reset restart router first and check
if you have any important data save it and do a factory wipe
dial *2767*3855#
this should fix the issue, if not flash the rom again.

I can connect to google or even to android market by my both the laptop with modem (wifi enabled) only problam with my SGS2

Could you please provide link for a GOOD ROM for indian edition with ROOT file :laugh:

Here a short guide:
1) Download Odin (http://androidfirmwares.net/Tools)
2) Download root kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399)
-- just scroll down and search for ur version (LP7)
3) Flash it via Odin
-- Extract .zip
-- load the root kernel in Odin (as PDA)
-- Put SGSII in download mode (Vol-, Home and Powerbutton)
-- Press "Start"
4) Then start phone in recovery mode (Vol+, Home and Powerbutton)
5) Check if u have enough space for backup on sd card (to be sure: 2GB)
6) Go to:
-- Backup and restore
-- Backup to internal sd card
-- confirm it and then let do the phone the backup (can take a while [5-20 min])
U r done with Backup!!!
Now start the process for ICS.
If u want a Custom Rom:
1) Choose one and download (I use SensatioN but have to choose for urself)
2) Put it on internal sd card
3) Go into recovery mode (see above)
4) DO A FULL WIPE!! (U won't loose ur backup on sd card [but u copy it to PC, too if u want])
-- wipe data/ factory reset
-- wipe cahe partition
-- advanced > wipe dalvik cache
-- mount and storage > format data/system/cache
5) Then flash Rom via recovery
-- install .zip from sd card > choose .zip from sd card
-- Select the downloaded Custom Rom and flash it
6) Reboot and u r done!

Romanian and arabic are typically qustions but indian... hmmm

it might have to do with your security setting for the network, I think it only works on WEP or something, you can try changing the password and all that :O

Afterdoing all as mentioned above still nothing works for me so i went back to GB. Now worst condition intially my SGS2 was detecting availble network but now NOT detecting any network even in my office i have TWO excellent range wifi network available.
