The DIM blue notification light stay on all the time, no matter if i use the phone or it is on standby/sleep.
I tried checking/unchecking all the boxes in the LED settings, no change.
The LED is dim blue, and no matter what i do it won't change.
It stays on even after I shut down the phone.
I removed the battery for about 10 mins, then I soon as i inserted it back in, the LED turned on, same as before.
Has anyone else had this problem before?
no, this does sound weird, but may i suggest a hard reset to see if it will be fixed?
apparently samsung has the hard reset as their primary fix for everything on their support site!
I did the hard reset suing the power+vol up+ home button and after reboot same problem.
I forgot to mention my S3 has its stock firmware rooted, but no other changes made to the firmware.

Hey Guys,
Using 2.06 SE ROM, 1.18 Radio and whatever extended rom you like (even a blank extended rom), whenever I press the power button on my device, or if it turns itself off after the default 3 minutes, it wont turn back on!
It turns off, the green light keeps blinking every few seconds...but when I press the power button the screen stays black and the green light stops blinking. I have to soft reset the device to turn it back on.
Strangly enough if someone rings the phone it will wake itself up.
It doesnt exibit this problem when in the cradle.
Regards,
Jez.
Hi! i have this same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13789
i hope this weekend correct it.
Hmm...this is so weird.
Ive just taken everything out of the extended rom, and hard reset. The problem went away (i can power off/on fine, with or without cradle. I can now leave the device for 3 minutes so it powers itself off, then power it back on with no problems).
I then put all the cab files back in 1 at a time until my extended rom was identical to before (when I had the problem)...and guess what...still no problem. I dont get it...
I'm puzzled by this as I unplugged it in the morning, drove to work, and sat down in my office to discover the phone is unresponsive to everything when it was working just fine 15 minutes before that. I don't want to do a battery pull just yet. All the buttons are unresponsive and when I plug it into a computer the screen usually goes to the lockscreen but it did not and it wasn't recognized by computer. It did not have a security screen lock active and I have not updated p-rom or any firmwares in the past few weeks. OTA updates were deactivated prior to my last p-rom update. Does anybody have any insight to this? Rooted 1.8.3 gladiatrix 3 b0.2.
Battery pull, and hope that fixes it. Usually the red blinky light means something made the e-fuse mad, and so now it's trying to revert your phone back to factory settings (at least that's what I've seen in the past)
If a battery pull doesn't fix it, reboot while holding the volume down button. When it shows fast boot, press down until you get to android recovery. Press the volume up key, and when you see the android with in the triangle, tap above the search button (sometimes I have to tap it like 20 times before the menu appears), then select wipe data. That will wipe your phone, but should get it back working.
May be soft conflict, i got 02 times. It happens when i ran many apps.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
In my experiencemit was just 2.2. Flashing 2.3.4 fixed it for me
I have an LG Optimus G, and the screen will not turn on. The green light is blinking indicating that I have missed call/texts, but when I push the side 'home' key, nothing happens. I held that key down hoping the phone would restart, but no such luck. I have tried numerous attempts, and pushed every button on the phone, but thus far, nothing has worked. This phone does not have a back battery panel. Any ideas on how I can possibly restart my phone without taking the battery out-since that's not an option? I'm trying to save a trip to the Sprint store, if at all possible.
I picked up my v10 (LG H901 unlocked) and tried unlocking, the screen was completely dimmed out. I could hear notification sounds and had the haptic feedback when unlocking with fingerprint but nothing could be seen. I took out the battery restarted the phone and the screen booted up into the home screen but dimmed out completely again after barely 3 secs. It's continued till now, I hear notification sounds, the vibrations work but the screen is completely blacked out.
Taking out the battery and reinserting starts the phone normally but goes blacked out again after it loads.
I'm on Android 7.0. Help pls

Power off the phone...hold down the volume down and power buttons at the same time....when you see the lg screen appear briefly (1 second) release the power button while keeping the vol down pressed..then re-press the power button....all this in the end should boot you into recovery...it will ask you a couple of scary questions which you can say yes or no to....the bottom line is this...if you can see fine in recovery then you've set the brightness way to low and/or installed an app that's done that to you in your ROM. If recovery is to dark to read then it's a physical issue with your device. About the only thing that's gonna undo the rom issue if it's that is a factory reset (which you can do from recovery). If you were using auto brightness then make sure when you get back into your rom that you disable it until you can figure out what you did that caused it to get so dark you can't read it.

Thanks for the response.
I have the same problem. Did you find any solution?
Good evening folks,
I am in need of help. I've been having issues with my tab S3 (SM-T820) for the last month or so. I notice that when i let the device charging over night, after i disconnect it, the screen goes black. I know the device is on, since the button lights are active. I've performed forced reboots (holding power + volume down buttons), and screen remains black, but device is on. I've performed hard resets via the odin software and the firmware, and yet the screen remains black (again, device on, button lights on). If i connect the device to a charger, when the screen is black, the screen turns starts displaying a black "speckled" display (black screen with color dots everywhere). When i see that, i start pressing the power button, turning the screen on and off continuously, until i finally get the screen to appear. Problem is that once i turn off the screen (not the device), again the screen will go to black and not appear anymore, until i keep messing with the power button again. I'm finally at lost since i sent the device to squaretrade for warranty support, and they keep sending it back as repaired (all they did was a factory reset, which is what i have done via the Odin software). Any idea on what to try next? I have though about disassembling the device and verifying the display cable is correct, but just seems irrelevant that it could be a hardware issue since eventually the screen does come on again (after trying countless of times), plus, i don't know how to disassemble this thing. Any ideas or recommendations?
Thank you in advance
