I will have my note in a week. I am currently using the the Epic 4G Touch from Sprint. There were some issues with the galaxy s II and I was wondering if they are issues on the note as well. One was a problem when using the touch version of CWM. The other was an issue when flashing from an ICS rom to a different ICS rom. Are either of these an issue with the Note? Just trying to get everything lined up and ready to root and install cwm and a custom rom when it gets here.

I was wondering what it would take to port a rom from the galaxy s 4g? I was hoping since it is the 4g version of the vibrant it would fix a few issues that we have with gb roms. They got official gb update. Sadly we didn't.

You will still have all same issues of a I9000 port since we don't have a official GB vibrant kernel from samsung.

Make sure you choose one specifically for the GT-P7510... basically for the wifi only tab.

Can't flash a 3G rom on a non 3g because that would be silly.
On another note, majority of the ROM's are based off the Non 3G versions.
Hey guys,
I have a question about the Galaxy 5 (usa) edition. Is it possible to update to 2.3.6? I don't know the difference, but heard from a friend that there was a update.
Don't bother to update it. 2.3.6 has patched a lot of the loop holes that were in 2.3.5 so rooting and adding custom roms/kernels is going to be pretty hard. However, I believe your friend is referring to the GP 3.6 and 4.2 since those two come with 2.3.6 as the stock version. Here is a custom hacked rom that use the 2.3.6 firmware as a base http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1579774.
Hope it helps and if it does can you please thank me ^_^

There's not much of a difference... xxkph I think was supposed to fix WiFi issues and xxkpl changed the lock screen. But those or any ROM based on those will get you 2.3.6. Just make sure you have entropy's kernel installed so your buttons work.

They also added an update option about device. In addition there is a "dock" app that's hidden as 2.3.6. It allows you to set the device to do something when it is connected to a dock.
Hey guys, I wanted to ask before I try to install. I recently switched from a GS3 to a Note 2, both VZW. I know the stock GS3 RIL could not be used with cm10.1/10.2 since it had not been released. This cause a major issue for me with reception.
Does the same issue exist with the Note 2?
There seems to be no issues with CM 10.2 on the roms. but there is a lack of battery use

I have tried using the unofficial CM11 for the i9205 for the Sprint Galaxy Mega. I understand unofficial means that this is not the actual CM developed rom and I understand that will bring certain functionality problems to the phone. I also understand the rom is intended for use on the i9205 but from what I'm seeing people are using i9205 root methods and roms on the SPH-L600. I'd love to use CM11 on the Sprint Mega seeing this phone doesn't seem to get as much love as the other Galaxy models. What can I do to get this working or what do I need to do if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Currently I am rooted with Philz using stock rom 4.4.2 modded with Xposed.
Im in the same boat you are. Hopefully someone can make a Sprint rom soon. Im having "flashing" withdrawals. Lol
