UCLD3 ICS ATT "Leak" to 6/26/12 Samsung Official ICS Release??? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Hello,
I know many of you may be running the leaked version of ICS. I was fortunate enough to get mine running stable since the leak in March. Has anyone tried to update their phone to the official release?
Previous thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568080
I am able to run Kies in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, but Kies is unable to establish connection between my PC and Samsung Device. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

You do know right below this thread is 2, not 1 but 2 threads on the official AT&T firmware

This is the section for Android Development and great job developing an unnecessary thread.

Also, you know there is a section on this forum called "AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Q&A"...I think you might get better results for your question there, rather than here in the development section.
Just a thought I wanted to share

Why is reading so hard for so many people here?

AS noted, this thread is neither development, nor is it unanswered (similar threads already). As such, i think we can close this here..

Actually, your thinking of the Fascinate, since we all know that Verizon delays more then anyone else.
We would probably see Gingerbread first of the US carriers.

I beg to differ. I will fight you tooth and nail that T-Mobile will be the last to push the update. As many Android phones that I have been through with T-Mobile and waiting for empty promises; ummm.....yeah.

if you actually read the release info about the "promised gb update", you'd have read the part about how the US variants are on a different timeline, and if you had been here during the whole 2.1 -> 2.2 update debacle, you'd have known that all these timeline "promises" ONLY apply the the international galaxy s phones.

Android 4.0 has been out since mid march... And the Bell i9100 supports all ROMs on these forums. Why wait for the Bell version? It won't come anytime soon I think... We're always 6 months behind in Canada, which is why I buy international phones.
Do you have a link for a no problem bs Ics update?

Stock? There are tons of ROMs all over the place, you can read up in general, all new ICS releases are posted there which are flashable by Odin or Mobile Odin...
If you want Custom ROMs, you have Wanam lite, ICS resurrection, Cyanogenmod 9, etc.etc.etc.etc.
Well since I'm on my phone with out a comp at the moment... So any direct link to an official no bs Ics would be super helpful with lots of rep sent

Internal sources of SamMobile confirm that Samsung is testing in these days the official firmware Jelly Bean for his Galaxy S II. The update via Kies would be expected for September/October 2012 ....
october/november 2012
Truly? Nobody knows for sure. There is 13 leaked JB firmware and it's still buggy. I'm certainly sure it will be released before Christmas Maybe next month.

There is no need for you to open another Jellybean thread. There is a sticky, dedicated thread already for this in the general section: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736726
The problem is, people like you don't like to read the sticky threads or even search for one second before creating bogus threads.
....this is sure a soon to be closed thread.

well, short answer to make everybody's life easier (not to encourage the OP): it is a 4.2.1 update

I guess you meant 4.1.2, as 4.2.1 is not yet officially, just the leak, hence no OTA or KIES update possible
I think he means he's received the XXEMB1 4.2.1 official update which superceeds the older XXELLA 4.2.1 updare from a few months ago that appeared to be the cause of regular system freezes. I got my device back from Samsung yesterday claiming they fixed it but it still froze 3 times before lunch. Then I got the XXEMB1 update this morning and so far so good. I've been running Facebook and Google Chrome over wifi and mobile data with no lockups.

Quite right lenash, its the standard s3 keyboard which is renowned to be rubbish. On a side note I even bought swiftkey but it keeps deactivating itself. Just one of many issues ive noted since moving from the lt15i arc to the s3
Easy way to find out.
Browse Root with ES or Solid Explorer. Sort by modified date and browse /system/app etc..
You didn't provide enough information.
Who knows what it was.. and as you now know, the wrong place to ask.

I would love a detailed changed log, I was on I9300XXELLA before now i have updated today to I9300XXEMB1 the only thing i spotted was they added more bloatware Play Magazines & Play Music that I can't uninstall unless I root, and now taking Screenshots now feels glitchy!

Jelly Bean-OTA CLOSED

Any one know why the Jelly Bean OTA thread was closed?
Is it because
A. There will be no Jelly Bean OTA update for the SGH-I717.
B. People were going way off topic and OP was tired of it.
C. Jelly Bean OTA will be released in a few days for the SGH-I717 so it was closed and Key Lime Pie OTA will open upon release.
D. All of the above
E. None of the above
Would really like to know no kidding. Also any news, or updates, or rumors even, of when or if SGH-I717 will get stock JB TW update.
N7000 got it, some S2s got it, will SGH-I717? Are the Canadians our only hope? or is there another (N7005)?
Korean Og note got it last month also..we even have a new firmware available and promised to also be updated up tp 4.2.2 according to samsung korea

I think it was B.
The OP probably doesn't have any inside information for A or C.
The Key Lime Pie part of C did make me laugh though. I wouldn't expect it on the i717 in anything but ROMs.
B. It kept turning into a debate thread and/or off topic from the op's intent.

Still impatiently waiting for official JB to be released on my sgh-i717.
I was surprised and confused when I saw it was closed.
Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the new jellybean ota thread.

That's exactly what I was wondering. Not only that. Several people thanked the post that closed the thread. Were they forced to read the thread? I don't see the logic. I guess JB is a dead issue for our Note. Bummer.

It was B... The OTA will eventually be here... Going to close this up before this also goes sideways...:laugh:
I would also like to point out that we Developers can only work with what we have... So maybe ask SAMSUNG these questions??? Just sayin....
