based on the above SS
does it mean that my phone has FD enabled but the network does not support it?
also i searched and googled but could not find a fix for the l2_hsic wakelock.
btw my fd settings are as follows
lcdonfdtime = 5
lcdofffdtime = 5
and under nwkinfo, dormancy is set to on
i am running stock rom from my carrier with cf root, so the settings should be optimized for my carrier right?

Sorry wrong link.
Link fixed.
If you cant do tha send me the data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/nwk_info.db
and i can make a zip file for you to flash it with CWM.
i know how to disable it with root explorer, i just need to know if the picture means that fd is not supported on my network.
if so, i will disable it.
PS: when i start to use the data connection, it goes to H+ which is evolved hspa, then when i stop surfing, it goes back to H which is hsdpa.
does this mean that the phone is using fd, or should it go even lower to like umts?
38mins out of 9hrs actually doesnt seem like alot, which is why im confused if FD is supported by my network.

I think you have to disable it because i have the same situation like you and i know that my provider doesnt use FD.
ok i have disabled it and secril_fd-interface wakelock disappears from my BSS.
will monitor to see if the battery really improves

When i enable my phone with comm manager, my 3G data connection is also getting enabled and it shows the connection duration 1, 2 ,3....
Then i went to Phone settings --> Band and selected GSM insted of Auto.
Now "Edge" is getting connected the same way.
Please help me as i am not using my phone !! afraid of Bills !!
EDGE is via GSM the only way to kill that is to disable you GPRS connection entirely by removing the settings.
GPRS and EDGE are via GSM
3G and HSDPA are via UMTS.
I will suggest Bandswitch manager the freeware one (1.23) works great.
You can chose the band (UMTS/GSM), great to save battery life, and to enable/disable data connection, AUTO or just when needed.
Try to find it somewere...
both of you are wrong, sorry no offense. go to phone then menu/options/band and under "Select your network type" select gsm. and the fastest you will get is edge. yup, found that out the hard way

going to phone>menu>options>band is the same as going to settings>phone>band.
Its the same thing.
But the OP seemed to say that EDGE was also unwanted so I advised the only way to stop GPRS connecting at all is to remove the settings.
or you could go to settings->connections->connections->advanced->select networks and choose "my work network" for both internet and work. this will ensure that your device will not seek a connection for GPRS etc.

Thanks a lot!! ... now it stops connecting automatically to t-mobile data connection and i have peace of mind!!
Every solution is good, I just prefer to tap in a page like this and choose (what and when) band/connection... and enable/disable it

If you enable 3G and WiFi at the same time Android will only use one connection, first will try to connect via WiFi and if not will connect via 3G. It won't connect via WiFi AND 3G at the same time.
Yes its normal.
looks pretty similar to what I have seen on mine.
The main exception is the Awake time without the sreen being on? Maybe something still running. I found my biggest battery killer for backround apps was my Jorte / calendar running when using alarms on appointments.
stopped that and much better!
Alright thnx mate and how do u came to know that which app created problems regarding awake ?
seems to be awake for quite a bit there in the middle without the screen on. is that just music streaming??

Better Battery stats is very helpfull for seeing what is potentially eating battery life, whilst the screen is of.
This is a thread on maximising battery life - quite helpfull! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351663&highlight=better+battery+stat

The partial Wakelocks was the most telling for me, cant remember the exect procces now but for me it was something like: android.starting.alarm.calendar (I know thats not it exact, but it was always high!!)

I am anxious to know that myself. I googled and found this link:
http://www.htc.com/sea/support/htc-one-max/howto/436321.html
That page link answers the question completely except for one one dilemma: on my HTC One Max there is no power saver mode option to be found, in the hidden section or otherwise. Could it be that these instructions were just copied from those for the HTC One, but that option was omitted from the Max? I'm puzzled too.
I found a page in the HTC One Max help entitled, GETTING THE BATTERY TO LAST LONGER to be useful:

Here is the apk

on my sprint phone, running viper rom, in settings, the first item is Power Saver, on or off..
not sure if its that way on stock..

I use greenify but happened across this...
It appears powersave kicks in automatically on the verizon Max. I hadnt really noticed because I keep my display not very bright usually. When I got my second verizon Max on which the display is kept much brighter I noticed the display dims pretty drastically at 15%. Pretty crappy that it does this because that also means it throttles the cpu and etc without me telling it to. Cant wait for kernel source...
Hello all,
I recently purchased my 5x and i have some questions about the LTE bands.
I do speedtests from time to time and sometimes i get 5 mbits, sometimes 10 and sometimes 40+
All of these results in the matter of a few minutes in the same house.
Until recently I did not know why this was, but now I understand it's because of the bands my phone switches between (3,7,40,41)
I wanted to know if there is a way to force or tell the phone to prefer one band to another, because even -115 dbm on band 40 is 5-7 times faster than band 3. If not, then Is there at least a way to check what band you're on, ive tried apps like LTE Discovery and they don't manage to tell me what band or frequency im on, and most of the USSD codes that should tell me this info don't work.
I would really appreciate it if someone with knowledge on this matter can help me out here

https://jioappstore.jio.ril.com/cms/ install netvelocity apk then run speed test. Under settings, enable advanced mode.
It'll display the band you are currently on.

As far as I know, you can't force a phone to use a specific band (it depends on the area you're in)
After installation the app crashes on startup

Hi there,
Unfortunately this app is not working on my device, maybe it's network dependent (Jio)?
would love to have a working app like this as I'm very curious about which lte band
my phone is on. tried couple dozen apps to no avail so far. and it seems huawei has
disabled radio info and some other parts of it's service menu.
anyone knows any other way?
Since the common hidden menu code does not work on our device ( *#*#4636#*#* ), there is another way we must use.
1. Download this app from the Play Store: Force LTE Only (4G/5G)
2. Launch app and choose "METHOD3: (Android 11)"
3. Under Set Preferred Network Type dropdown, select the network type you want.
-- to get 4G/LTE and below, set to "LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA"
-- to get 5G, set to "NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA"
This was the only way to enable 5G for me since I am in Canada.
Only issue with this is that it may not stick once you reboot. You would have to follow these steps again.
Thanks man. This helped me with my Global variant. It got 5g to kick on when I couldn't see it in the menus.
Update - Found the shortcut keys to get directly to it

It didn't work on mine. When I punch in the final *, it just goes to my contact list.
Although the app ForceLTE mentioned earlier by TikiThePug did work perfectly.
I finally get 5G all day long on a T-Mo SIM.
It's such a fast, beautiful phone and now it has all its functionality.

Hey I just started using Verizon coming from Fi. I have an unlocked.pixel 6 from the Google store what should my settings be? I know I need NR but what else or what would work best. I'm on new York it that matters at all.
And I can get to the menu via *#*#4636#*#* I just need to know what would work best for me .
I keep trying to set to NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA ( Only way to get full speed on 5G
for some reason my setting keep resetting to NL/LTE/GSM/WCDMA (Very slow as if running 3G but says 5G)
How do I get my setting to stick Oh I'm on T-Mobile Network

It's always going to set to what your network tells
This menu isn't actually real control
