I was looking for a better way to hold the phone (my hands are relatively small), and found Thing Sling: http://www.thingsling.com/
Since I'm cheap and love making weird contraptions, I decided to tinker a bit and came up with this. It actually feels very comfortable, much easier to use the phone with one hand now. All it is is an elastic strip loop, sewn together in the back.
Sorry, I didn't have pictures of the phone in the case, since I had to take pictures with the phone itself
nice. Its like those tablet cases for the kindle to make for easier reading,.
Nice! I dig the music in the video...
I have found using the kickstand through my fingers sort of helps but this looks to be an idea I might try, I'm looking to get a few persona cases so I might just sacrifice one and play. Thanks for posting

My wife and I teamed up and made a leather case for my G-Tablet. Turned out pretty good. Used an old second-hand leather jacket that was given to me years ago for free that I never wore, a book from work that somebody was throwing away and cut it up for the covers, and a little elastic we had laying around. We had enough leather from the old jacket to make two cases actually, and I am finishing the second one. I used a downsized 3 ring binder for the second one and it will be nice also. Here are some pics of the first one...
Wow, that looks really, really good. I'd buy that if it was available lol.
Nice work, looks classy.
Looks good
Thats a good idea. Nice
Thanks for the comments! It is holding up well with daily use. Her idea to put the seam across there. People see me carrying it now and have been asking me "Is that iPad?" Then I say what it is and open the case...which always seams to lead to people having no clue that there were other viable tablets out there. Then I show em the speed and interface and tell them the differences, and they are usually wondering why iPads cost so much more... BTW - I sold my new 4th gen iPod touch to buy the G-tablet and have not regreted it
Good job!

Great Leather case too!
Very impressive, I just wish I was a better tailor. How many hours did it take you for each?
Wow, that is very nice. You guys got skills! Maybe beter then my nunchuck skills...
Great Job. You should look to mass produce it. I would get one too.
Looks nice
Wow, I had to resurrect this thread. That case looks super cool. I'm sure you don't have a lot of time on your hands, but would you mind giving me/us a brief Tutorial on how to make one? I would really love to try it out.
Thanks,
Scott
Now that's some Suzy Homemaker gangsta sh*t right there! LOL
I have trouble sewing a button onto my shirt. Nothing but props.
That is so awsome! Not only do you have a personalized cover you can be proud of, but you reused something that were otherwise useless. Its green and classy!
how much leather do you think you used?
I wonder if he sold his tablet. No responce yet :-(
Hi all,
Pretty simple request here. I'm looking for a stylus pen that I can use with my Transformer. That is, a pen, with a rubber - or whatever it is - bit at the top, so that I can flip the pen around and tap away.
Reason is, 99% of the time, I have one or more pens in my pocket for college, so I'd like to have the option to use them as styli(?) as well.
Sounds simple, but I haven't had much luck in finding one. Main thing here is price. I want them to be cheap enough that I could order a few and loose one without caring too much. (~$3-4 each)
No-one has looked into this before? I can't be the only one out there interested.
Here you go-

Hey, been thinking of buying a few of these, seems to be perfect. Take a look around the site though, that have some 2 in 1 types thats double as an actual pen, and smaller ones that can hang from the headphone jack. Keep in mind it will take a few weeks for the order to get to you, but it will be worth the wait.
I have bought some neat stuff from them before, you get what you pay for but the stylus above looks to be a great deal.
Edit:
Found that 2 in 1, a little more expensive but is what you actually wanted.
I never even thought of looking on DX... Thanks very much!

I made my own using the foam that the IC chips are on...i found none on the market that suited me. Just look at you tube for DIY pen stylus...it worked out okay.
Thanks for mentioning DX, never thought to check there either. Ordered one to see how it is, hopefully I'll receive it before Christmas!
just ordered this one

maybe it will be better than the one i got with a flat tip
i like this one since it has 2 colors and a stylus

and it's working perfectly well
Hey guys not sure if anyone is interested in a case that makes your tablet look like a book but if you are, Just put in your requests so they can make it for the Prime. I myself like the composition notebook one.
See it here:

Hello I was just browsing your site and I really like what your product seems to offer. Will you be making any for the Asus Transformer Prime in the future?

Currently there are no plans to make a case for that model. However, the more requests we get the more likely we will make it.
I gotta admit, that's pretty cool. Kinda useless if you have a dock but cool still.
Got one of these for my fruitpad. Great quality cases. Ill put in a request.
They look really nice. As you have one to reference, how much thickness do they add, roughly, compared to the thickness of the enclosed device?
I hope our 2 requests makes them run to make them lol
bump................
I like it, however I like the BookBook case better!! I wish they make it for the prime.
I had a dodo case on my ipad 2
http://www.dodocase.com/collections/dodocase
I like the BOOKBOOK and DODO as well but we need to request them to make these and they will need many requests is the point
Cmon guys a little help here. Write in even if you dont want it. We only have 1 choice as of now a leather portfolio
I just emailed them, hopefully more people do the same!
Lets hope they do
My coworker has this. Seems pretty cool but kind of thick (bout 3/4 inch) however very light. Another thing you might wanna know is it doesn't prop up so basically its just acts as a case. The inside frame is wood with rubber in each corner to hold the I pad. Seems pretty secure as he had a hard time taking it out to show me the case.
No affiliation with them, just really pleased with this case. It's a little snug, but looks and works amazing.
I ended up buying two of them. ;-)

Wish they made one that would fit a 8.9 tablet!
It doesn't look like it can support the tab in viewing mode. It looks kind of nifty if you like that kind of look, but otherwise is limited as a case.
True, if you want to set it on a desk or table this is not the case for you.
My dock at home takes care of that for me.
This case lets me put it in my bag fairly protected, and yeah I really like the style. I can feel all sophisticated while I play Angry Birds.
Interesting! I'm also using a Verso (Kindle Fire) case for my 7.7. Gorgeous case and fits surprisingly well.

You should post a picture of the tab in it...
Yes, please post pictures. $40 is a bit much to take on just word.
After doing some online research about this case I decided to give it a try.
I had this cover on for a few weeks and was overly pleased on how it looked and felt. It is indeed a tight fit. You have it squeeze the tab into the strap, very carefully. The top right strap will press down on the power button so you have to be careful there.
I had more than a few people comment on it. It is very stylish, functional and it does not look like you are carrying around an electronic device, especially something as expensive as our tablet.
I did not have any issues other people are claiming with this case. It fits very well with our tablet. It lies flat so the top does not bulge out. That was my main concern about the case.
HOWEVER, this is a huge one, the inside pocket where you can either store documents or use it as a handle, caused an indentation on my screen - a burn-in mark. I did not notice it until I changed my lockscreen to a white/light background.
I then noticed it whenever I had a non dark background in that section. I ran a screen test and sure enough, there is the burn-in outline of where the inside pocket forms.
I took a picture, hopefully it will come out clearly.
So beware if you are going to purchase this case. If it wasn't for the burn-in, I would have highly recommended it.
Wow, thanks for the warning. I double checked my tablet and I don't see that mark but I might see if I can use something to remove that extra pocket since I don't use it.
I have been using the official Samsung 7.7 book cover case since I got a good deal on it. Didn't know how nice of a case that is!
Like the look but not a fan of the flip case with no zipper. I can just use the sleeve in that case. Got myself a brookstone case. Love it.
I want to start reading some books on my tablet, but due to the large size and small bezel it's awkward to use. Any recommendations for a case with a handle or strap to make things easier?
I haven't seen any cases with built in straps, but something like this might work for you:
http://www.amazon.com/Padlette-in-Black/dp/B004DLUZ4I/ref=pd_sim_e_2
I haven't used it myself, but it looks like it could be an easy way to hold the Prime, as you can just slide your hand under the strap. It should also be able to stretch over any folio case you might choose to use.
I use the Sikai microfiber case, and while it doesn't have a strap I find that its soft grippy texture makes it much easier to hold the Prime for extended periods. It also offers excellent protection for the tablet.

That looks interesting, but $20 for a elastic band seems kind of ridiculous to me. If I can't find anything better though I may give it a shot.
Mine just came in today, so I cannot pass full judgement but so far so good.

thats the one i'm currently using
overall the case is pretty good but if you put it on a unleveled surface, the stand won't stand very well as the tablet doesn't sit in the nudge very well
other then that i have no complaints about it
been using it for about a month or so now
