I have no idea how to do it, but I know it can be done. I've seen other members change their name before. I would go about it by contacting a moderator.

[Q] Track my Son's Internet History?

Hello everyone here at XDA-developers, this is my first post here on the site. I came across this site looking for phone forums, to hopefully find an answer to my question.
My son's Iphone 4s is under my sprint account, and I feel as the owner of the phone I should know what he is doing on it. While at the sprint store they described to me the Iphone 4s 16gb Black, can browse the web with a browser called Safari.
I'm trying to find my answer online, before having to call sprint, because usually the wait time is too long, when I can probably get some more information online.
I am signed into my spring account on the sprint website, however, I have been unable to find anywhere to track his history.
I'm not trying to be the snoopy parent here, but I would like to know what he is up to, because he sure is using the web a lot according to the bill.
- John
Surely you should ask somewhere to do with iPhones rather than the Android General section? Maybe someone there will be able to help you.

Sprint cannot track nor can you. Only thing you can do is check his phone

it would be highly unethical of you if you don't ask for his permission first. Just because you own the phone, does not give you the right invade someone's privacy. You will regret in the future when he grows up and bite you in the ass.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions &
Read the Forum Rules Ref Posting

YouTube and Pandora will use a lot of data, so it might not be the internet browser that's using the data. What're you worried about? Porn? If that's the case, he's going to look at it regardless of what you do. He'll find a way, even if it means stealing DVDs from a store because you won't let him watch it on his phone for free. If he's old enough for you to buy him a shiny new iPhone and pay his bill, he's old enough to watch porn. Or you're just spoiling him.
That aside, if you're really vigilant about it, repost in an iPhone forum. They'll be able to help more than we will.
I think he asked the wrong way. He said something, but want another.
He asked for Internet History, but what he want is to know why the account is being so high.
He want's to have control the ''why'' of that.
As I said, I just think.

Check the Internet history?
Btw this is a mostly android forum, and your posting this in the Android section of this forum for an I device. Most people here don't like the Iphone. If you want to get a better answer, ask it in an Iphone forum.

Google Calendar not syncing older events

Hi.
I just noticed that all my calendar events prior to april 12th and right back to june 2011 when I first got the phone have been deleted from my phone, but all other events onwards from april 12th are still on the phone. A sigh of relief when I noticed they're all still there online in google calendar, ie, all events from june 2011 to now. Not sure what happened, but, I did reinstall calendar sync today (before I'd noticed this) because it was partially deleted due to a virus I had a week ago. I say partially because it was still syncing but it took longer and I could tell something wasn't right. It had been effectively uninstalled in control panel, so that's why I reinstalled it.
So I connected my phone, manually synced google calendar sync app in my taskbar, and although it's updating new events from my phone to google calendar online, it's not transferring the old events from april 12th and before that date from google calendar online back to my phone.
I created a test event today directly in google calendar to see if it would transfer to my phone with sync, it did. So what's up with it not transferring my older events from google back to my phone before april 12th?
Bump
Bump. Let's see how many times I can bump this before someone replies or I get told off.
It's a known issue that Google is doing nothing to fix.
Here's a workaround though.
If that doesn't work, here's another one.
Both found with Google.
(Also, see rule #5. Bumping is seen as pretty annoying around here, and doesn't actually incite people to help you)

Thanks, I'll check out those links.
Well, yes and no on your last point. It had gone to page 3 first attempt, then was going to page 2 second attempt, so I didn't have much to lose really did I, and 3rd time worked like a charm.

5. Post a message only once.
As a large forum we don't need unnecessary clutter, You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.

I'm NOT a moderator. I'm just trying to give you some friendly guidance on forum etiquette. It's not like I reported your post or anything. And in fact, I actually helped you, in spite of my being annoyed by the bumps as I'm sure many others who knew the answer were, and decided not to answer.
If everyone followed the rules, we wouldn't need moderators.

I thanked you for your advice and I'll thank you again. But I don't give a flying **** if you don't like my bumps. If I hadn't bumped my thread (after several hours of it receiving no replies and disappearing into the void), there would have been NO replies, making being a posting member here pretty much useless. Get it? These forums are massive with ludicrous amounts of posts every second pushing others off the page very fast, never to be seen again, so bumps are NEEDED to get noticed. Get off your high horse.
Ah forget it. I'm clearly wasting my time.

Clearly. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that in quite a few of your posts you talk down to members, pretty much patronising them.
"in spite of my being annoyed by the bumps as I'm sure many others who knew the answer were"
Lol, seriously, and my last word on this, drop the wannabe moderator act. You're obviously very knowledgeable on phones and have made many posts. And I'm grateful you linked me to a couple of potentially helpful threads which (contrary to what you think) would not have happened if I hadn't bumped my thread. But, I've been here longer than you and long enough to have seen many threads of mine disappear without any response when there's been no bumping. Noone was going to answer my thread without it being bumped, trust me on that, it had already gone to page 3, so my bumping was not the catalyst for why you think I got no answers. Editing my post would have made no difference, it wouldn't bring it back to page 1, and neither was there any need for me to clarify an already crystal clear description of the issue in my OP. I also help people where I can on other forums where I'm knowledgeable in a field just like you, and I leave the lectures on forum etiquette to those in charge.

Probably because I'm sick of people who don't take the 5 seconds it takes to type their problem into google, and incessantly bump their posts to keep it at the top of the forum. But you're right. I should take a step back and not let such things bother me anymore.

While I see how those options would do it, I chose to just purchase Calengoo... I works great and I'm lazy so I don't want to have to do the export/import thing or flip back and forth changing the date. (I did notice that if it's a recurring appointment on the calendar those show beyond the 30 day limit.)
hopefully this is something Google will change at some point. I just don't understand their reasoning for not offering us the choice on how much calendar data to sync.
Just thought I'd add another solution to this problem.
Found it here:
https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/calendar/BG6UUCLcQZ4/J7Zc-l4X_9gJ
Steps:
Go to Google Calendar in your browser (DESKTOP)
Go to Settings (top right cog)
Calendars
Export calendars
Extract the .ics file from the saved zip file
Import calendar (select the .ics file)
That's it, it shouldn't create duplicates, but the calendar on your phone should now show the old events.
Simple but effective

Good job. Much thanks! This one did it!
Didn't work for me. Not sure why these work for some and not for others (like me)... could it really be because of ICS vs JB etc?
Anyway, I'm on a HTC Sensation, JB 4.2.2, and it would be very helpful if I could get important business schedule information from 6 months ago to 8 years ago from google online calendar into my phone, and I can't, and that's just retarded. So if anyone has suggestions on ways to do it, your input would be helpful. Thanks.
-Ryan.
update: well, it took a while but it actually worked... Yesterday, I exported, imported, synced, waited, synced again, and still nothing nothing. Then I posted to this thread. Then today, I read on the calengoo site that they recommend this 'trick' also, so I figured goddaammmit why didn't it work for me? So I looked at my calendar, and lo & behold... data back as far as i care to look! HOORAY!

S voice "hi galaxy" doesn't work

I thought on the s3 if you said "hi galaxy" when the phone screen was on it was suppose to go into s voice ?
Even if I double click and say hi galaxy it says it doesn't understand what I mean ?
Do I need to enable something ?
Thanks in advance
You have to program it to recognise your voice first..

Probably being thick but how ?
Also do u say hi galaxy when screen on or when u double click ?
Thanks in advance
I'm from the UK and in my experience S-Voice answers **** all if you ask with the language set to English, it really is shockingly bad. It'll answer basic questions such as the weather but almost everything else it doesn't understand. If you want to ask it more questions switch the language to american.
I've asked numerous questions with it set to UK and it just says it doesn't understand what I mean but if I ask the same questions with it set to USA it'll give answers to all of them. It's really weird.
S-Voice - Soft edit key - Settings - Language
See if that helps...
Tbh I'm mega disappointed with s voice it's as bas as siri . I'm in Manchester UK and asked for my nearest petrol station it came up with getta inAmerica wtf ?

Same issue with an Australian accent. There isn't an option to use English Australian yet, so perhaps that will help. I would have expected an accent to have less of an impact on the voice recognition, seeing as other apps seem to work better.
Word on the street is Google are going to do something about Siri officially so to speak, so maybe samsung don't need to fix it.

HaHa well at least the petrol will be cheaper.
If you set it to English US it gives funnier answers LOL
I like the fact the interface actually covers the whole screen so you don't realise its using the network to determine what you said...
And just for fun, I asked where the nearest perol station was and it returned "Getty", when I hit the more option it gave it gave me a map of New York. Fine and all except I'm in Newcastle Australia... Bit far to go for petrol...
Same with me
The other day after many questions and it failing to pick up what I was saying, I said "you are so unreliable" and it replied saying "Thank you for saying I'm reliable"
I could have thrown it against a wall
Perhaps only getty petrol stations are paying google to advertise
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
This is what I got with the petrol station question (I've got s voice set to UK English)
Edit: here's something *really* stupid: if I tell it "drive to Island Gardens station" it immediately loads up nav , shows my location and the route perfectly well. If however I tell it "walk to Island Gardens station" then I get the "sorry I don't understand what you mean by... " reply
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Worst program ever
^^^^ obviously not then
I wouldn't bother even trying, It's pointlessly terrible. Rather than release a phone with this, perhaps samsung should have made a stand against voice control that nobody uses rather than give Apple an open goal to rip S Voice to shreds?

The bank breached my phone.. how?

Hi! I joined to ask for help. I'm a new Android user, and some things seem new or strange, in general quite nice. But this thing happened to me today and I am quite worried.
So my bank sent me a text message yesterday with a pin for my credit card. After 24hours, I get a second message stating the previous had been deleted. How did they have access to my messages? how did they delete it? Can I do anything to prevent things like this from happening again?
I do not feel in control of my device. They say "it was for your security", but I never asked for my data to be destroyed for the sake of my security. This cannot be acceptable. They should have asked.
Please help!
