The ROMS(including stock) I have tested on my LWW (not sure about other MDPi devices) the led greens even though the phone is not fully charged.
Is there any way to modify the light libs so that it only greens ONLY when the KERNEL reports the battery as charged fully.

This isnt bug,its same on stock gb and stock ics..

I didn't state it as a bug I am telling it as a inconvenient feature.
And still this does Not belong on DEVELOPMENT Section!
How come? This topic is related to developing a certain key feature of this device.

As far as I know, green led appears after reach 90% batteries and keep green untill full
use custom kernel
stock kernel - after 90% ..it will charge slowly after that to improve battery life
custom kernel - after 90% ..continously charge normal ..
(my xperience ..idk its true or not) LOL

Ok before anyone starts raging, I've already searched around the forum and seen some say BLN is a battery drain and others saying it isn't. I'm curious as to what peoples experience has been with it on all the new 2.2.1 ROMs.
Drains probably 2% more total during the day for me

BLN Control....Theres A Free And Paid Version
It Dnt Drain Battery That Much..just COntrol it by using the app
MY sugestion USE noLED app it shuts off your soft buttons so they wont light up and noLED is way cooler PP
from what i've read from neldar himself (the guy the introduced the bln code, and created the bln settings app, and using the pro version you can control blinking, schedule when the bln on is implemented and when it isn't, etc), he's seen it only uses 0.85% of your total battery.

How many seconds on/off do you have it set at? Also do you have it turn off after 5 minutes? or?
Ive used both bln and no led is better in my opinion

Care to share the reasons why? Thanks...
you guys are so paranoid about 1-3% battery life.
I'm using CM7, and i have bln set to always on (as flashing bln eats up more battery, plus the normal Cm7 stuf doesn't support blinking bln). I get ~45 hours of battery life. For those that think bln eats up battery, it's only placebo effect.

Did you every try it with blinking? How big of a difference on batt life?

CM7 hasn't had any added in blinking support since about April. There is one kernel that doesn't use LEDNotify, but rather the actual bln code. But I will have my led lights on for hours at a time, sometimes the entire night, and I still get nice battery life.
As for Samsung roms, I compared both blinking and non blinking, and tlfor me the difference was negligiable (sp?).
But seriously, stop worry about these stupid 1-2% and enjoy your phone.

^ the question was posed before people KNEW how much of a % it took, lets not be harsh. Not sure how you are getting near 2 days of battery life. I assume you mean if you just leave it sitting... not a very good indicator for real life. I think 10 hours is more like it.
I've been using BLN control pro with bi-winning for a month or two now and have noticed no difference in battery beyond normal variance.
I prefer BLN to noLED because I was never able to get noLED to work consistently.
Firstly. is it possible to off the lights coming out form the translucent bar?
Secondly, I charged the phone to 100% but when i off it and on again, it has deplete alot. Is it a firmware promblem?

Not sure about turning light off. As for battery mine took about 2 weeks to sort itself out, now it lasts a day with me charging when asleep. I have noticed though that a reboot takes anywhere between 3 & 5%. With the new. 73 fw people have said battery is better but I'm still on. 67
Xperia S white
I flashed. 73 and the battery life has almost doubled, best I've had on any hi high end smart phone (and I've had them all!)

Any Draw Something users having the same problem as myself?
Currently on Hydrog3n rom but I have tried others. Usually charge my phone via laptop but when playing Draw Something phone still discharges faster than its charging.
I haven't noticed any battery drain while playing that on my sgs2 running cm9

Doesn't affect my battery whatsoever. Must be your phone buddy.

On CM9 it cause a huge battery drain here too. If I use it I loose close to 1% per minute
Using sensation rom no batt drain at all
Mod or Die
change kernel.
speedmod look the best
htc hd2, hyperdroid (fikret) - i'm also experiencing a huge battery drain when playing draw something :/
Am also on CM9 with Nexus One (BCM ICS). Draw something is indeed drawing lots of battery power. Phone gets immensely hot. Running the Tiamat kernel from March 14
No battery drain on neat ROM

How fast does your drain I play draw something alot, I don't seem to notice it to drain that fast.
I have the same issue here with a LG optimus 2x, draw something consumes all the battery in 2 hours or less. (with stock rom)
Try Different Kernel
Speedmod, Siya or NEAK
Hi!
I just got my Xperia Mini Pro (a week ago).
I immediately flashed it with CM10 #146 and overall I'm satisfied with it's resoponsivness and performance. The only thing that worries me is horrible battery life, I just charged it this morning and now, about 6 hours later (20 mins of talking, about 15 messages) my battery's at 35%. I'm not using any data conenction, I have switched it to 2G only, my signal is strong, I have reduced screen brighness to about 75%, and I keep both BT and GPS off. I do use wifi, but that's like 10 mins a day. My phone came with a 1160mAh battery, which I know is not the most powerful one, but baraly 1 day of batteyr life in a brand new phone, and being forced to charge it every evening just scares me
Is this normal for these Xperias? My old Wildfire used to last about 2-2,5 days.
Yes. It is normal for me. I charge my phone everyday.
You can lower your brightness or apply battery tweaks to preserve battery life

You can try another kernel, for instance MESA 2.2, and undervolt a bit. I get about 2 days of battery with that kernel and some init.d and build.prop tweaks.
I don't really fancy any of those ubertweaked-hardocre-v6-megaoptimized kernels and stuff. Cyanogen mod does the job for me, and I don't really want to "overtweak" antything I'm just gonna have to stick with what I have I guess.
I don't think that flashing it with stock FW (which I'd hate to do) will help it?
Christ... I don't get it... A friend of mine has an Xperia LWW with the same battery, the same CPU, and she charges it like three times a week, while I'm gonna have to charge it like seven times a week. It's just wrong. I hope that the battery will get a bit better over time, and I'll be able to use for at least 24h without looking for the charger.

Yeah man, but i guess she hasnĀ“t flashed cm10... ROM consumes battery as well. If you were on stock firwmare as i guess she is, then you would have almost the same battery backup
Always check that sync is off. Cause it will drop battery bar easily. Of course in case you don't need sync.
And check build.prop. there's 2-3 lines which will help the phone to deep sleep better. (Search xda)
I myself use aokp jb with messa kernel and with normal usage it takes me 1.5 day.

Best Comb
I respect all the developers but with due respect and personal opinion:
Kernel : Kernel PAnic v2.5(ICS) and Rage 3.0(GB)
ROM : Smultronic v 5.0(ICS) and Spartan v2.05(GB)
Brightness : 40%
Sync off
I get a usage of about 2 days on both of these roms...and if u are a light user i mean if u play no games them HyperBeamCream is really good for ICS.
well...1 day battery life is abt normal for our fones which have1200 mah battery,,,,can't help it:crying:
well the simplest way to take a step for solution is changing kernel to mesa cause with fxp 146 kernel there was a horrible battery drain for me also. Reduce the screen brightness & turn off 3g if u dont need it
i suggest mesa with CM10 too .
You could also decrease processor speed in standby, I think normally it's 250 but you can put like 125.
In cm10 mesa kernel does the job... It really saves the battery... And one more thing is that, give it some time... The battery will become normal after a few days of usage...

My dad's Xperia U used to last around 4-5 days with a bit of Wi-Fi, 40% brightness and a call a day. Battery would go down to 15-20%.
Now as you unplug the charger it goes from 100% to 96% instantly. After using it for half a second the battery went down to 93%. Wi-Fi is off, brightness is set to 30% and Auto-Sync is OFF. What do I do? It's not rooted and it's running Stock Gingerbread 2.3.7
Quick replies will be appreciated.
Additional Info: The phone is under warranty and it was purchased about 2 months ago.
Try calibrate the battery

It has nothing to do with dev support......
To the point now.....
Have you charged it till our showed charged and then disconnected or you waited for another half an hour and then disconnected.....
Try charging with fone switched off till it's fully charged plus half an hour more....
After you find this drop in battery did you restarted your fone????

I charged it to 100% while the phone was on, plus about 20-30 minutes more. I unplugged it and the battery went down to 96% instantly. Whereas it used to stay on 100% for about a day. I've restarted the phone recently but no difference. I'll try charging it when its off.

In my opinion its good to send it to repair center mate, it can be a battery problem.
same thing happened on my Samsung Galaxy Y, so i disregarded battery full indication, when battery showed full i restarted. left to charge and did it again if problem persisted. problem disappeared gradually.
Thank you everyone!

Question
Hi to all
My xperia u does something quite weird. I can't get my battery to last more than one day. I tried different roms, kernels with governors and my battery seems to drain and the main consumer is my screen _ about 65 % while any other process doesn't pass over 15%. Has anybody conflicted with this problem?
How do I get it fixed? Do I need to buy another battery?
PS: I don't have warranty hence the unlocked bootloader

Decrease your brightness and turn of Mobile Bravia Engine if you don't need it. I have three Xperia U's in my house and two of them used to have the problem. Turned the brightness down to 30% and it resolved it. Also I charge it to 100% and kill it down to complete 0% by heavy usage. Try this. Works with laptops and phones.
