Do a hard reset, press volume down and camera button, then press the power button, release the power button after phone vibrates, release the other two after 5 secs

Try dialing: *#06#, it should display your IMEI as printed on the box that contained your Lumia. You should also try to reflash it with the original Firmware.

I have the same problem, but it wasn't after flashing. My phone locked up after trying to use Endomondo so I did a reset. After that, my phone has been stuck in flight mode. I'm running:
OS version: 8107.WM7_Main_ship(mojobld).20111207-2014
Firmware: 1600.2473.7720.11400
Hardware revision: 112.1402.2.2
Radio software: 1.6.00.24
Radio hardware: 8255
Bootloader: 7.35.0.0
I've tried hard reset, soft reset, restoring via Zune (this might help you actually) but nothing has worked.
I tried updating my phone to the latest Tango update but neither Zune nor Nokia Care Suite seems to want to do it. I think the next thing I'm going to try is updating my phone with the cabs.

Same for me ! Stuck with plane mode ON ! I updated my firmware with NSSPro to bypass a battery issue (no charge if I let the battery discharging fully) with the latest firmware for my country and carrier. Everything went OK. I installed the original SIM, unlocked it, and the plane mode is forced ON.
The device does not show any IMEI anymore !?
Tried to flash several retail ROM = the same
Tried an alternative ROM = the same
Tried reset dozen times = no luck, the same
In NSSPro IMEI is N/A
In "about the phone" no IMEI displayed
Is there a solution ? Is the phone dead ?
It drives me crazy , please help
Thank you

Galaxy S II has no Network upon further inspection the phone doesn't display the Imei, bluetooth, wifi mac address.
Its not in flight mode, I restored to factory settings, tried couple of sims as well.
Is it a software issue or hardware issue??
Is likely flight mode. Press power button long and try the option flight mode or data connection.

NEW PROBLEM : Once put into flight mode,i cant get rid off flight mode and the phone doesn't charge anymore?? Please tell me its a software issue
UPDATE: The phone is charging after doing a factory restore, but now i found out when i go to mobile network, it says SIM CARD NOT INSERTED? Sim card tray issue? hardware??
DOUBT: is there a chance the phone to get network locked??
UPDATE: when I Enter *#7465625# and see the following:

SP Lock
CP Lock
Phone is from singapore, looks like it got locked automatically?

Yea, this is the exact thing thats happened to me (Indian version).
Fresh out of the box phone, worked fine for the last 3-4 days.
Now I'm out on a vacation, and the network selection on roaming was flaky, I was toggling the network selection manually/automatically a few times to get some network, and the next thing I know I no longer have a IMEI (shows unknown) , and the same for baseband ( shows unknown) .
Tried factory resetting , etc, not helping. Will get back home and have the phone repaired/replaced.

This airplane mode sounds dangerous. Unfortunately it may be a necessity when you are travelling etc. Hope there is a known fix or one comes out soon. Until then I will keep my /efs partition backup in 3-datacenter redundant storage place along with my laptop and ext.hdd.
i just recieved an sgs2 in uk and it has this exact problem out of the box.
grrr
if anyone wants to point me to a stock rom for it i'll try flashing it
erm, i dont think flashing will help here.
I reckon that missing IMEI means the /efs partition has been wiped out/corrupted, and that is something which cannot be restored by a simple flash.
finally, after almost 12 days, lots of running around, I finally got my S2 working again.
The service center had to send the phone to their head office since they hadnt received any service info on the new model till then.
They changed the PBA apparently , and finally reflashed it and gave it to me.
They claimed that the flashing was an online process and samsung india service servers were down for nearly 2-3 days, accounting for the additional delay.
Just like my I9000, but I dont think it is the same problem and same way to solve.
I rooted the devise and deleted the nv_date.bin and the nv_data.md5 in EFS file with Root Explorer, and renamed the .nv_data.bak into nv_data.bin, then restart, problem solved
I have exactly the same problem as you guys are talking about. Really weird. The /efs directory, where is it located? Is it located in the main "Root" or is it in a specific folder? I would like to try the thing with the rename trick?

Try removing your sd card. Small chance that it may be causing the issue. Why would someone remove the info stickers? Is it stolen?

Hello there,
A few weeks ago I was trying out different custom roms on my galaxy s3, and I somehow managed to **** something up and my IMEI number got changed to something like 00400001234. I kept getting "Not Regitsrred on Network" error if I tried to make calls. So I took it to a repair shop and paid £25 to get it fixed
It got fixed and the imei number went back to normal - I could make calls again!
I then did efs, nandroid and titanium backups and then flashed foxhound rom, but again I get the "not registered on network" error. So I restored the backup, but it still says the error. I tried a different backup and still it cant connect to network :crying:
What I tried to fix this:
- turning it off for a while then back on
- manually trying to connect to my network
- manually enterring APN details
- ate a bagel
- factory reset / data wipe
- I followed all the guides I could find on this site and used the search function extensively! the last thread i read was this one but the guy couldn't find a solution other than taking it to a shop
I think I have only these options:
1) try to fix it myself maybe flashing a different radio, CSC, or something (?)
2) take it back to repair shop and pay another £25
I read somewhere that the method the shop uses to 'fix' the phone means that you cant install custom roms. is this true?
As you can probably tell, I am a novice at this kinda thing and so it's very frustrating cos I cant understand how to fix this =/
Thankyou
A guess is that you flashed custom rom and either have no CSC wrong CSC or wrong modem for your network . Or EFS folder is damaged .
Possible solution restore original rom via .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978840
Then test .
jje
so is the imei there?
yes the IMEI on the phone matches the one printed under the battery
thanks for the link. i'm trying to use kies now to fix it, but it's saying my device firmware version is not supported to update via kies. not sure what this means cos i flashed the stock rom already =/
Trying flashing the stock modem if it's not already, I too got same problem and then flashed the stock modem for my rom/country and it worked
Just my experience being a noob to flashing

i would like to try flashing a new modem/csc but i dunno where to find those seperate files. do you have a link to where i can download the unbranded UK one?
ive just flashed another rom with odin (UK unbranded BTU 4.0.4), and now i'm getting a different error. the phone now says 'mobile network not available' and there are no mobile networks showing when i try to search for them. i am no longer seeing the 'not registered to network' error
i'm still getting the error message in kies saying my firmware is not compatible too =/
dunno if this helps, but when i dial *#1234# it shows this information:
AP: I9300XXBLG8
CP: I9300XXLG8
CSC: I9300XABLG8
what does it all mean =S
edit: okay, i've just been down to the store where i originally bought the phone from. i had one of their sales guy snap a picture of the firmware version info screen. for comparison i've included a screenshot of my s3's info:
i.imgur.com/SQ19c17.png
my plan is to try and locate this specific firmware and flash it onto my device in hopes it will fix it =<
does anyone know where i could find this specific firmware?

the console text says it has applied CSC-code "CYO"
ive managed to find the correct firmware now, so that it matches the stock s3, but yet my problem still remains =/ once again it is giving me the 'not registered on network' error
dont know what else to try now =/
maybe the CSC code is incorrect, and changing it would fix my issue?
CSC has nothing to do, since your phone is unlocked. It depends on the network, whether GSM or UMTS.
Try this firmware for the CSC CYO:
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/190153878/49a62fc/I9300XXELLA_I9300OXXELL1_CYO.zip.html
1- Make sure to flash using Odin 3.07. Find it in the forums. To flash, you must enter the download mode. Switch off the phone, then Vol Down + Home + Power.
2- After flashing and rebooting the device, when the logo is shown, remove the battery and reinsert it.
3- Enter the recovery mode using (Vol Up + Home + Power).
4- Choose "Wipe factory settings".
5- Reboot the device.
6- Enjoy.
Being in an area with weak network coverage can cause continuous error like "Not registered on network". Therefore, after flashing, try forcing the network into GSM via "Setting -> More Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode -> GSM Only".
This shall work fine with you
well thanks for trying, but that didn't work either. i followed the steps exactly and i still get 'not registered on network' error =/
this is so frustrating

yes the phone was bought from carphone warehouse (UK) and was already unlocked out of the box
also, no i have not tried another sim
i've just uses kies to find the exact firmware i need (entered the model + serial number) and flashed it... but, still i get 'not registered on network' error, despite having full 5 bars signal
i dont know what else could cause this. the firmware is correct, imei number is correct, everything is back to stock.. so why am i still seeing this error? :crying: ive run out of ideas now! well, unless the 'custom binary counter' stops the phone working if you flash it too many times (???) i really dont know what else to try

Hi. After rooting my moto e xt1021 I flashed cyanogenmod. That resulted in a bootloop. So, via TWRP, I restored my phone to before it was rooted. However, I soon noticed that instead of saying Sainsburys, it now said no service. I then decided to try searching for networks by going into settings, more, mobile networks, network operators. Once there, it displays no operators. Then, when I press search for network, it says "Error while searching for networks. When trying to make a call it just says "to make a call, please turn off aeroplane mode." Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this.
I have also noticed that the GPS can't get a fix on satalites.

Yes, I did flash the wrong radio AFTER the issue occurred. Now, it won't boot up or enter recovery or bootloader. Could someone please provide me with the correct UK radio images for my phone?
I think that I may have flashed the wrong version of the OS after getting stuck in the bootloop. The OS was blur version 20.82 I think. However, my phone had a higher version. Would this make a difference? Also, please could somebody provide me with links of the correct software as the downloads I found were down?
I dunno if you guys sorted out this issue, as I have the same problem. There are downloads here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/development/rom-stock-motorola-lollipop-rom-t3167111 which I feel should help, though I'm not able to test yet as I don't have my USB cable with me. Well the radio in the last link didn't work for but all good now after flashing the retail UK firmware ROM for my XT1021 via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755857

I'd try doing a fresh install of one of the combination firmware builds. Those tend to fix issues like this. And then flash a stock rom after the Combination Firmware finishes booting up for the first time. This being my suggestion for the highest chance of success.
If that does not work for some reason. I'd like to know what happened. The second option then would be to root the device and use flashfire to restore a backup of your EFS partition if you have one, or flash the correct modem that corresponds to the installed build you have that reads as SN=0000000
Hello to everyone here, I'm in a bit of a pinch here and dunno how can I get out. I need to factory reset an S6 Edge SM-G925F from my cousin (He forgot his pattern, no reactivation lock, no risk of FRP locking either), but the thing is that USB Debugging is disabled, and the volume rockers do not work at all (in fact, the phone boots directly to Safe Mode). I do have a jig for entering Download Mode (tried flashing TWRP with ODIN but no auto reboot to it, updated to Nougat Official to see if it triggered a factory reset to no avail). I wanna know if there is a piece of software I can use to reboot immediately to recovery. Thanks in advance!
