Try this:
In dialer: *#197328640#
[1] DEBUG SCREEN
[8] PHONE CONTROL
[3] NAS CONTROL
[5] RCC(HSPA) CONTROL
[1] DISPLAY REVISION and [2] CHANGE
not sure if changes made will stick on reboot. Try and see, just remember what you touch (before and after values)

Instead of a "band aid" solution, why not try factory reset and or another modem, ?

I turned HSPA off and now my phone only shows 3g however I want to have h+ back, what can I do? Reselecting the option won't work.

auto switch to 2G/3G

Hey,
Since as i understand 3G draing the battery much more then 2G.
Is there any option to auto switch to 2G when the phone is not in use?
Tnx
Yaniv
I use sgs2 cyanogenmod
No simple way to do it (this has been asked on here recently more than a few times). Your best chance is to get Tasker from Google Play & see if you can set up a task to run where the phone switches to 2G where certain conditions are met.
try root box rom

In aokp roms like RootBOX & Resurrection Remix, a 2G toggle can be set in the notification screen.
settings -> Rom-Control -> (statusbar) Toggles -> Enabled toggles.
I use it from time to time
I never used cyanogenmod....
CM also have this option. AOKP roms are based on CM, so...
Having a toggle on the status bar isn't what the OP has asked. He's asked for a way to have the phone automatically switch to 2G when 'the phone is not in use' (reading is fun. honest).

I remember that i ever provide some of battery saving apps have any feature to do that e.g. easy baterry saver or battery saver.. at it's network settings related..
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
There is a good app for that, but I think it will work with CM only:
2G Auto Toggle

Open the dial pad, type *#*#4636#*#*, if anything pop up, you can go to Phone information to switch preferred network type to "GSM only" for 2G.
You can also create an Activity shortcut on the home screen to do this in a faster way. The activity is under Settings -> Phone info.
For the sake of simplicity, install CM and use toggles.

Can you tell me where the toggle is? I have an option of setting the preferred network but changing it to 2G will automatically toggle it back to 3G. I am not satisfied !!

I feel like a retard to reply to myself. But just now I tried toggling it with my data off. It sticks. I have to select the preferred network and then I have to switch it on. Might help someone!

LG Hidden Menu

There is an app in /system/app that implicates there is a hidden menu in the phone. Well I did some digging and here is what I have come up with.
Dialing 3845#*970# brings up the menu for us with tons of diagnostic tools and radio controllers. I believe for the ones who have wanted to turn off LTE, this is where it will be done at!

Just thought I would share this with you all. There is a post a little bit about it on the Sprint forum, but thought i'd post it here too.
For those wanting to try to log it into 4G only try
Service Menu > WCDMA-Only > Modem Settings > RAT Selection > then select one of those, if one doesn't work try the other.
Hidden menu on AT&T LG Optimus G is 3845#*970#
Bleh thought it saved...i did the star lol

Notification panel quick setting buttons always revert to default after a while

6.0.1, stock ROM, no mod or root
I have tried this several times. Customize the button orders but later I will find it's back to default again. Initially I thought it's just after restart. It turns out that it will revert after a while (half hour or so), whether I reboot or now.
Any way to make it stick?
Thanks

Press and hold gear icon does not do anything. Developer option does not show System UI Tuner either.

Last night I updated to the latest firmware GPG2 and now customization sticks. Looks like they fixed it.
Yeah, been 6 hours since I changed it. Still there... Survived reboot as well.
It reverted to default overnight.
I tried using this database editor, which DOES find the correct values for MM's quicksettings toggles.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66720889&postcount=6054
But every time I try to save the value changes, it freezes and shuts down. Any ideas?
