Same problem with mine. I unrooted prior to this update. Tried 3 times on 4g, 3g and Wi-Fi. Any thoughts on this?

Intrepid, in your case, have you disabled any system apps? Re-enable them and try again.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

No apps have been disabled. Its pretty much stock.

Try a factory reset first....That will make sure you're bone stock.

Thanks. Ill give that a shot in a few minutes.

Accepted the update this morning... went smoothly. Took forever to download though, think the servers were slammed with everybody doing the same thing. I am bone stock, for now.

Having same issue. Stock nothing removed or froze. Was rooted with voodoo. Temp unroot didnt work. uninstalled all root apps unrooted with voodoo. Did factory reset downloaded again . Gets about half way through install.....Triangle and android on screen. Then it reboots and says update failed. Any ideas how to fix this?

same issue here, trying hard reboot!
will keep you posted

Just curious. If you are having this problem, did you perform your download over 4G or WiFi? I have no clue about what is causing this problem, but if you were on 4G perhaps you can try downloading again using WiFi (or visa-versa)? Yes, I know this shouldn't matter. But it is something to try.

I was downloading through wifi.

I just did a factory reset including internal media and the SD card, downloaded the update and tried to install but got the triangle and android on the screen about halfway through. Any thoughts?

Did a hard reset, wiped user data and that seemed to do it

If you are rooted, uninstall bootstrap or safestrap if you have those. For me safestrap was breaking the update. Thxkbai!

Just did another hard reset with no luck getting through the update. Willing to entertain any suggestions...

How far do you get?

This may seem like an odd suggestion, but if you keep failing to install the OTA pushed to your phone, try flashing the file from the root of your SD card.

About a quarter of the way through. It showed a triangle with the android on the screen when it stopped.

Has anyone had trouble with the software update

Everytime I go to check for a software update it starts checking then goes off quickly without telling me if there was one or not. Any suggestions?

I was in the same boat as you. Check out this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1469246
You can check the first and last post in that. The way I got around it was by activating my sim in another rezound and then swapping back into my original and it all of a sudden worked. Dont really know why, but i know another person got it working that way too.

2 minute lag delays and constant freezing :/

Hey everyone,
So my girlfriend just got the LTE about 2 weeks ago, and now there is a real problem. I rooted it for her with s-off and flashed the stock/liquidsmooth rom. Everything has been running extremely smooth and great until today. The phone was in her pocket while we were out and when she pulled it out of her pocket and tried to unlock it, the phone was lagging really bad like a 15 second lag delay on everything and kept freezing. I tried wiping everything and reflashing the rom 2 or 3 times and its still doing the same thing. I'm very "flash savvy" and have quite a bit of android experience. When I push the power button to unlock the phone, the 3 bottom lights will just light up with the screen still black for about 2 minutes until it will light up and work semi smoothly.
Nothing was working so I try flashing another rom from the dev section and the same thing is still happening. I dont want to have to unroot it and take it into Sprint, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Anyone?

No need to unroot - Sprint treats rooted phones the same as non-rooted phones now. There's clearly something severely wrong with the phone if you've wiped and flashed multiple times. Maybe run the RUU? If not, go to Sprint.

The bootloader is unlocked, and I can't for the life of me get it to relock. EVERY method I've tried doesn't work for me. Will they take it even with the unlocked/tampered bootloader?
Well I've got the phone to work a little better...But everytime I lock the phone and try to unlock it, it won't respond for about 2 minutes. And it keeps saying "process system is not responding" or sometimes "process com.android.phone is not responding". I've tried fixing permissions and partition SD card. Guess I'm taking it to sprint.
I am pretty sure you can get it repaired or replaced regardless of the bootloader status. Search the General section or the Q&A section. I guarantee it has been discussed, I just don't remember the answer.

What is your wiping process? You said everything but can you be specific? What rom did you flash? Is your recovery updated? Did you check md5 of the rom?

Correct, as long as one has total equipment protection
If a store gives issues on it just ask them to look it up in policy.
OP
You tried re flashing that Rom and wipes but have you tried a different Rom?

I wiped cache, dalvik, system, factory data. The usual. And tried flashing 5 roms - stock with goodies(the latest one and an older one), miklatte, meanrom, and a stock rooted rom. Tried fixing permissions on all of them too. I tried 2 different kernels and reflashed the radio aswell but no luck.
I took it into sprint today and they wanted to keep it overnight lol, so I will findout in the morning.
Still blows my mind how the phone went from working so great and then 5 minutes later it was completely unresponsive.

Droid Razr System WIped - SBF/Fastboot/Razr Utility not working

So, I've run into a bit of a predicament. A long time ago, I rooted my Razr on ICS. Perfect, loved it. After some time I started flashing ROM's. THis also went perfectly, that is until I tried updating to JB. I messed with the phone for a few weeks, decided I was fine on Simplex, and have been living with it like that ever since. Now, however, I can't boot into my stock ROM. In fact I deleted the entire system via SafeStrap, but I'm able to get into my Simplex ROM and everything works fine. Now I need to know if I can just download the update file for JB and flash that to the main ROM slot via SafeStrap, or if I have to SBF/Fastboot/whatever the phone. I've tried Fastbooting through RSD and through Droid Razr Utility 1.82 but to no avail. Is there anything I can do or am I just stuck on Simplex forever?

It doesn't necessarily fail, but after it completes the first step and says "hit any key after screen turns on" it just sits there and says "waiting for device." toggling the cable works, but I'm weary of unplugging it while it's going through the process.

I haven't, mainly because I haven't got a hold of one. The one I use now seems to work though. It charges and let's me transfer files.

Try to use a different one.. then redownload the Utility, the utility might have been corrupt.

HELP: No Service!

I recently installed Carbon onto my XT912. It was a clean install, and no problems occurred. Just today however, my phone is now showing no service when I load to system 2 (where I installed Carbon). When I load to System 1 I have full service. If someone could point me in the right direction for troubleshooting I would greatly appreciate it.
Could be a bad flash or. Something is interrupting your service try reinstalling again and see if it helps let. Me know

Everything was working fine until one day when I was low on battery and out of Data. I decided to only use 2G networks to both save battery and not use data. After that day I unchecked that box yet it still says that it's searching for service. Is there a solution without having to re-flash my ROM? I don't want to lose all my text messages and such.
Also, I get this blue triangle now above my cell status. What's up with that?

There are apps to backup texts. A flash could help i guess.

[Q] OTA help please....

Every time i try to do the ota update for jellybean on my verizon xt912 it fails when in stick recovery... This phone is not rooted and never has been. Battery was fully charged when attempting the ota. Ive tried 4 times now and the software update fails each time. It downloads and boots into recovery, has the android guy with the spinning ball and loading bar for about 2 minutes. Then switches to the android guy with the red exclamation box and then reboots with a message stating "software update failed" any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any luck so far? I believe Matt's Utility may be one option worth exploring. As far as I can recall, Option 1 and Option 2 don't require your phone to be rooted. Again, I'm not positive, just trying to help.
