I'm trying to disable fast dormancy by dialing *#9900# but nothing happen. How can I get an access to that option otherwise?
I've read that I can disable it by entering
ro.ril.fast.dormancy.rule=0 to
ur build prop
How can I do it?
?
Hi saar17, are you trying to enter this code with the system phone app ? Not any 3rd party phone app ?

Yea with the phone dialer?
Dial *#9900# and the option to disable fast dormancy should be there.

since I installed CM9 I cannot use the quick access codes at all, and ideas why?
Themadba I said that nothing happen when I do it.
What can I do in order to disable it?
Aosp doesn't have fast dormancy, it's a Samsung stock Rom thing.
You should really state that your not on Stock Samsung. It won't work unless on stock Samsung ROM.

It is clearly writing in my signature.
So how can I disable that if not through the dialer?
I'm on the XDA app so sorry, but it should still be stated in your post.

I've heard *#*#9900#*#* works on CM.
Have a look at this thread:

It doesn't and it doesn't matter anyway.
I had constant 20% wakelocks until I used the Fast dormancy toggle app from the Play Store!
It works on my CM9 S2 and now wakelocks are are less then 2%!!!
Made some massive difference to my batter life, 40% more!
Use FastDormancy Toggle for i9300 app by gokhanmoral from google play store. It works on i9100 perfectly :good:
chatvan 7-104.9
not for me ! I used the app but still got the fd_secril-interface wakelok ! (i am on rootbox 4.1)
Any ideas to fix it ??

Any way to disable fast dormancy in Miui. Samsung dial code doesn't work in Miui.
I've searched for days online and I can't find anything.
Any way to add a setting to prop.build?
Thanks in advance

Bump!
I would like to know how to do this on Miui 1.11.4 also
Cheers
I don't think there is an easy way to do it like on the rom with just a code.
You must have to fiddle with the system files
+++++++1+++++++
Is this a way to save battery?
I would like to know too.. anyone?
i think fast dormancy is searching for 3g every time.... so you can disable.
The fast dormancy doesnt come in miui..it is factory off..if u font want ntwrk to change thn select 2g only or 3g only..

Hey guys, i'm currently not able to install non-market apps. I've checked in system settings that this is allowed. The only problem is that the install button cannot be activated but the abort button.
Does anybody has an answer for that? (example attached)
Thanks!

Juicedefender
Hi, are you using Juicedefender or any other app managing screen brightness ?
If yes, disable this app and it will work, you can reactivate it after you apk install
I had this issue with JD and it made me mad :silly:

Thank you!! I have JB Galaxy S3 and was having the same problem!! Found your post and disabled LUX (which controls screen brightness) and was then able to install my non-market app. Doesn't make any sense why that would have anything to do with it, however thank you for the fix!!
When I open or close a folder on home screen there is a voice saying "Folder Closed/Open".
How do I turn this off?

Try Xposed framework, search it around XDA
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Unless its contacts / phone. Not even Xposed works with that well.
i read on xda some guide, these saying to add some strings in build.prop..i tried but nothing..
with framework like jkay and xposed i can lock app in memory,my aim is to find a way for locking app with the original framework. Is it possible guys ? thanks
I'm curious: why?
in this way i can put sms app in whitelist, so android memory killer never kills sms app=no lags because it remains in memory

Hello, I have a problem with my Galaxy A5, so, I would enable the reactivation lock and remote control in settings but I can't when I click on the box I am asked to type the password of my Samsung account, so I type my password, then I check the top, enabling location services, after, I leaving the settings and I return to the settings and I see that the reactivation lock is disabled so I just activate it!
I tried to remove my Samsung account but nothing ... Who have the same problem?
I do not understand why I have this problem ... If anyone can help me ...
Thanks in advance
I tried both on kitkat and they both can be activated just fine... I think it must be a lollipop bug
