Hey friends,
I have been sending mails from my phone but seems that I am unable to change Email Signature Font size in Corporate Sync Account. They appear too small when compared to the message in email.
Please advice if theres a solution to this. I do not want to install a 3rd party app.

Uninstalling o2active shouldn't remove the SMS account.
Therefore if you actually mean SMS instead of another POP mail account, there's no need to reinstall it.
From what you're describing it sounds as though you are going through the process of creating an EMAIL account, not SMS.
Can you explain a bit more what you mean by it removing your SMS account? When you go into Messaging, what accounts do you see?

hi Ant
Thanx for reply
Ok i don't know what happened i can not see my sms account i don't have any email account on my xda because i m on PAYG (which don't support pop email)
i reason i need this sms account because (I think) due to this missing account i can't get any ringtone notification when SMS arrives only on my today's screen i can see the I have X new msgs when i turn on my xda thats it
so i sort of figured out that due to this sms missing account i am having this problem.
so when i try to create new account it wont let me do it always asking me eamil address in other words only creates email accounts.

I know this is a known issue with HTC's mail client but I just thought I would throw it out here in the hope that someone has a solution.
On IMAP accounts if you receive a digitally signed email the HTC client displays "The Mail is still on the server" and will not display the body of the message. I know this is due to the mail app not dealing properly with certs. I also know that there are many third party apps like k9 mail and mail droid that work correctly, but I love the HTC mail widget and ability to have multiple accounts show up there and there seems to be no 3rd party mail widgets that do this function well.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem so that I can use the HTC mail app and widget?
Hi
Recently got a galaxy tab 10.1, and has 3.1 installed - no upgrade available yet apparently.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I've missed something glaringly obvious, but I'm reasonably literate with stuff like this. I'm trying to get my email setup, and have tried a number of apps. Until ICS comes out, Ive decided to use the stock email app, the samsung one..
Anyway, I can add multiple accounts, so I've got gmail, hotmail etc. The only problem is gmail (IMAP?) has a change displayed name feature, whereas hotmail (on activesync?) doesn't... So if my email is [email protected], my equivalent gmail has a display name setting to change that to whatever I want, in this instance Mr Bob Smith. However, the hotmail doesn't, and when I send an email, it's from winterscoming, essentially just the first part of the email address.
I can't believe that this is a bug / intentional, but the setting isn't there under the hotmail account. I was hoping l could shed some light on this. No luck searching - Otherwise it's a great little device.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
So no-one's come across thiss then? Basically to stop the stock mail app using the first part of the email address as opposed to my name?
Could anyone confirm whether they have the option to change the display name when usinf exchange activesync, especially with hotmail?
Cheers guys - much appreciated
If I follow you... Try adding yourself "Mr. Bob Smith" as a contact with the winterscoming email addres associated with it.
That should make it display as the Name rather than the email address.
I have a hotmail account in the stock email, open the stock email, goto [email protected] inbox, tap menu, account manager
tap [email protected], edit the account settings with account name "Mr Bob Smith", your name "Bob", signature "Bob Smith Hotmail on Android Tab"
your sent emails should show
(from) Bob ([email protected])
To: [email protected]
content - your message
sent from Bob Smith Hotmail on Android Tab
or whatever your preferences
hi
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I can change the signature, but I cant change the your name section as its an exchange account. I can change the account name but this only changes the displayed name in the email app.
Tried adding myself as a contact too - no luck.
For now all my emails are from 'winterscoming'
Could this be the crappy 3.1 and touchwiz? Dont have this problem on gmail or another activesync account ive added after
Cheers
I've got the exact same problem too. I can't enter a name for my activesync accounts so it displays the first bit of my email address as the sender name. So damn frustrating, I've been using Enhanced Email instead but the lack of split screen view is really annoying on a tablet.
Has anyone got a solution?
Hi, I searched the forums but could not find any thread that dealt with this issue (for any phone), so I apologize if it's already been posted. And since I don't know if this is just an issue with the Rezound, I'm posting it here.
When I set up my Rezound I entered in my Google account info, and the phone automatically set up my Gmail account both in the Gmail app and in the stock HTC Sense Mail app. The Gmail app seems to work fine, but the stock email app doesn't sync the read status of new messages. If I get any emails in Gmail during the day, even if I log into it on my computer and read the messages, they still show up as unread in the sense mail app. Refreshing the app doesn't change anything. In the Gmail app, the messages will be marked as read if I have viewed them anywhere else.
I can't figure out how to fix this, and there doesn't seem to be a way to edit any server settings for the account, as sense has it registered as a Gmail account in the stock mail app, and not as a pop/imap account.
Anybody having this problem, or know how to fix it? I'm a new android user, and have only had this phone for a few days. Thanks.
Just take the gmail email out of the htc mail and just use the gmail email app to get your gmail mail.

I would like to avoid doing this if possible. I like having all my mail in one place. Any way to fix the stock app?
Email htc/usa and ask them. It only takes one second to push the gmail app, that's what I do. I understand you don't want to do that. Htc should be able to tell you how to change the settings.

I got an official reply from HTC:
Thank you for contacting HTC Technical support about the issue you are having with your Gmail account on your device. I do apologize that you have this issue with your device and I will gladly assist you with this today. We recommend you delete your Gmail account from the mail application on your device and use the Gmail application for your Gmail account on your device. The issue you are having it with the way the Gmail POP3 servers work with the Mail application on the device and there is not a setting to make it sync up to have the mail show up read until you up it on your device.

So it looks like, for whatever reason, the Gmail setting in the sense email app defaults to POP3, even though I have IMAP enabled in my gmail web settings. Unless anyone knows a way to fix this, I guess I will have to either set Gmail up as a regular IMAP account or just use the standalone application.
Thanks for the replies
Hi everyone,
Weird question - I have a friend with a Samsung Galaxy S3 who does not seem to have a share to email option in the share dropdown when viewing images. He has email account setup on his phone. What are we doing wrong?
Thanks!
does he have an exchange mail?
maybe it's his IT policy which doesn't allow to share pic's
can he share from other apps to email ?
i would also try to compose mail and attach manually
