Change the mdnie setting unless your on a kernel that supports extweaks, then you can change gamma etc.

What are you talking about? Is this with stock or something? Just use TouchWiz lockscreen if so, much better anyway.

I think this screen is what he is taking about. You have it when you have a pin code lock like my work email app requires. It can get annoying.

Zero lag doing anything on this phone

Then use your nexus and sell the one. Simple as that.

Trying to make sure there is nothing wrong with my phone. Hopefully not, and lag will be fixed with updates.
I prefer the one because screen, lte, camera, and storage space.

Nice
I don't have a HTC one but you could try turning on the "force gpu rendering" option in the developer options setting.
Or you could have a app that's misbehaving in the background and stealing your cpu power.
Download watchdog and see if anything out of the ordinary is running in the background.

S4 transition speed improvement

Many of you already know this.... but I'm sure there are plenty of people who could use this.
To increase transition/animation speeds on your device, do the following..
Go to developer options
And change
Window animation scale: .5x
Transition animation scale: .5x
Animator Duration scale: .5x
After you change these values...reboot and you'll notice major speed improvements.
Mods, I couldn't find this already posted...please delete if so.

You don't need to reboot.
If you turn off animation it makes it even faster

True, that is another good point... however I kind of like to see the animation when opening folders, etc. That is just my personal preference

For those of you who don't know how to get into the developer options, go into settings>more>about phone and tap on "build number" 7 times.

I just turn them all off. I notice how much faster it feels when there are no hoops to jump through when changing apps. Wish we could turn it off at a system level so the os doesn't even look at the scale to determine transitions, their just not there. Lol just my preference.

I turn them all off as well.

Nexus 4 Screen Resolution

My screen resolution is reading 640 x 384 on whatismyscreenresolution.com. I've tried other websites and they also read the same. Is this normal? I thought the screen resolution was much greater than that?
I removed the soft keys in the system file. Is that why it isn't reading correctly?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
That should not be the case. You could try to confirm your screen resolution by taking a screenshot and simply read off the information from that image.
Also, this has nothing to do with "themer"-app, but I assume the name confused you.
Oh I'm on the wait list for the app but it has resolution restrictions, which is why I asked here

Enable back your soft key
Sent from my GT-I8190 using Tapatalk 2
any help to solve mess of resolution for Nexus 4?
I put in a request for them to support 1280x768, which is the resolution of the Nexus 4 with notification but without the soft keys. That's all I can really do.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
enable back the solft key, which is ok
