Many of you already know this.... but I'm sure there are plenty of people who could use this.
To increase transition/animation speeds on your device, do the following..
Go to developer options
And change
Window animation scale: .5x
Transition animation scale: .5x
Animator Duration scale: .5x
After you change these values...reboot and you'll notice major speed improvements.
Mods, I couldn't find this already posted...please delete if so.

You don't need to reboot.
If you turn off animation it makes it even faster

True, that is another good point... however I kind of like to see the animation when opening folders, etc. That is just my personal preference

For those of you who don't know how to get into the developer options, go into settings>more>about phone and tap on "build number" 7 times.

I just turn them all off. I notice how much faster it feels when there are no hoops to jump through when changing apps. Wish we could turn it off at a system level so the os doesn't even look at the scale to determine transitions, their just not there. Lol just my preference.

I noticed almost immediately that when typing fast it seems to lag. I am no jet pack at typing but I am kinda quick. Power saver mode is not on and all other apps closed.

Nope, it's not just you. I had the same problem. I wound up doing a factory reset and it's fine now.
If you don't want to do a factory reset, another thing you could try:
Go into Settings > Developer Options > Window Animation Scale (or Transition Animation Scale) and set to OFF. (I found this tip on youtube.)
any tmobile users experiencet his. my software is 1.27xx. People in the general not experiencing the same problem.

Trying to make sure there is nothing wrong with my phone. Hopefully not, and lag will be fixed with updates.
I prefer the one because screen, lte, camera, and storage space.

Nice
I don't have a HTC one but you could try turning on the "force gpu rendering" option in the developer options setting.
Or you could have a app that's misbehaving in the background and stealing your cpu power.
Download watchdog and see if anything out of the ordinary is running in the background.

Ok so kinda hard to explain.. but I have a Note 3 from Sprint - unrooted and just plane stock..
I like it and enjoying it..
I noticed the other day something strange.. then I thought.. I saw this a few times on my Galaxy S2....
when you turn my phone on it has the default red background to swipe...
With my phone sitting there every now and then I notice it turns itself on and gives a totally different screen...
this is just more of a why is it doing it and has anyone seen it before...
I seen it to but I think much of it
