Go to applications, clear cache and start again.
If that doesn't work, reflash gapps.

My dear friend,
You obviously have no clue about the whole system, until you get used to operating system, i would recommend that you dont start flashing just yet. let's get you up to date on the whole thing.
Android is an Operating System it helps your hardware interact with the software, Freex10 and gingerbread are like windows XP and windows 7, the latest version of android is 2.3.2 a.k.a Gingerbread, Freex10 is version 2.2.1.
Considering you dont know anything about flashing, i am assuming that you are using the stock OS supplied either 1.6 (Donut) or if you have updated the OS, 2.1 (Eclair). You can verify by going to settings-> About Phone -> Android Version.
Gapps refers to google apps like maps, voice dialer, google search, market etc.
For the time being what i want you to do is tell me which android version you are using and also how exactly this problem started.
Regards
E

No...it turns off when I open Maps o Wisepilot and try to get position using the GPS....few seconds after the app start running ,it switch off and switch on again...
I have android 2.1 updated.... I have an app named Juicedefender and MYLookOut...I delete memory booster app and Auto killer. The maps app star working rigth wit the GPS for a while but few minutes later the phone switch off again....
Try updating apps of it still does not work try flashing the phone by going to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746 download the flasher and the firmware from http://www.mediafire.com/?sqv6274anzfzn2x
Extract the flasher zip file, open the program X10FlashTool.exe
If the firmware is of the extension .ftf
copy the firmware to the firmwares folder found in the flasher folder
if the firmware is not in the .ftf format
Advanced -> Bundle creation -> select the folder containg the firmware -> enter details required ( Device, Branding, version) -> select all the files present in the folder list (on the left side) and transfer to the firmware content -> click ok
-> click on flash -> select the firmware -> when asked connect the phone in flasher mode and you are good to go.
If you require busybox or root or xrecovery it will be found in the advanced menu.
Now update Maps and try again,
Regards

I was making some test and the problems happen also when I opne GPSTest app. Yesterday I used the SonyEricson Companion Software to repaire the phone (I think is like "reflash the phone"). After that I install superuser, busibox and I rooted my phone. Finally activate the GPS and try to test it using GPSTest app but it works fine for a couple of minutes and after that the phone turned off by itself.... Don´t u think the problem could be the GPS Hardaware instead of software?......By the way , It seems like the problems showed up after I updated my phone fromo android 1.6 to 2.1-updated....
the link you wrote for getting flash and firmware is for xperia X10i but my phone is X10a is there any problem with that? O I need to look for X10a?

There is a possibility that it could be your hardware and since no other user is helping us out, i think its best you reflash using SEUS and DO NOT root the phone and go to a nearby service center and show it to them
Yea the firmware link i gave is for x10i, my bad i thought you had a x10i anyways it doesnt matter because i have heard of users who have installed x10i firmware on x10a anyways for the sake of safety of you mobile, in the flasher website, if you scroll down a bit you will find firmware for the x10a

Ok I reflash the way you told me...I selected the firmware for x10a ...everything was OK after I reflash the phone until I see that I do not have data conection anymore!!....I am in mexico and I was paying a data conection using EDge and 3G but after the reflash I can not havit both of them!!....now what_
Thank you so much...I fix the data conection problem...I need to restore my system settings backup. Now it seems to work properly incluiding the GPS....I am gonna test it the rest of the day to confirm is 100% ok....Thanks a lot
Always there to help a person in need bro. Take care and if everything is fine, i would recommed that you root the phone and try out all the features possible on the mobile, make it worth your money

Did you go back to 1.6 or 2.1? Just in case that it is a hardware problem, i would suggest that you take the phone to your local dealer and ask for a replacement device.
Better act while you still have warranty.
I will do that....after I reflash the phone , the problem comes out again...Afer a couple of minutes I activate the GPS and opened the Maps, the phone crash, I mean it switch off...
Im gonna ask warranty....regards
mine use to do it but it stoped after the third time
I am facing a very annoying problem: my x10 mini(unrooted) automatically gets restarts.
Some of the days it works fine. But once it gets restarts then it restarts atleast 3-4 times a day. I have tried to reinstall the android firmware but still the problem prevails. I keep the phone memory at 21-22MB level, is the problem because of this( But I want to tell you 1 thing that I bought the phone in november and in feb end my phone was not switching on ,then I went to SE service centre they reinstalled the firmware and the problem was solved. Since then I am facing the problem of rebooting, before that it worked fine. I used to keep the phone memory around 2mb in the initial days of purchasing and it worked fine even in 2mb so I guess low phone memory is not a problem. I rooted my phone in november but when service centre employee reinstalled the firmware then I lost rooting.i.e. Now my phone is unrooted). Can the problem be because of SIM card or SD Card(corrupt files which I am aware of) or it is because of some other reason?
I dont want to go to the service centre because I feel that they will just reinstall the firmware which I already have done. It would be great if you could tell me any solution. If not the solution then a user friendly and so technical language using app which show the log of my phone so that I can figure out what happens in the system. But I really want a solution. Please guys help! Hope you guys would bring all your experience into play and help me.

Well ..people will need some more specific info ..like are you on the latest SE update ? what programs did u install (seems u did install quite a few as ur phone memory is ~22 MB ). Anything you noticed when it reboots ? Like while doing some operation or running something in particular when this reboot happens ?
Why dont you do a fresh flashing of the latest update through SEUS (not PC companion) and then just stick to the stock ROM (without installing anything else) for 7-10 days and see how it behaves ?
You can always take a backup of ur essentials like SMS and contacts (if you are not syncing ur contacts with google ) before you flash using SEUS.
There are ways to check the logs (using logcat ) but not sure how much effective it might be as u might not be in a position to check logs everytime when your phone reboots.
Hope this helps. Really there was very less inputs available for giving any solution.
I am having the latest android firmware. I updated the android firmware by downloading a firmware file avaible on the sony's website, I don't know what it is called but I surely didn't used pc companion for updating. There is no specific app which I am using when it restarts.
I will give any necessary info which will help you to suggest a solution.

you cannot just download a firmware from SE site ..it can be done only by two ways one via PC companion and the other by SE Update service. (SEUS)
And yes , it would be better to reflash through SEUS . It does seem that you have installed lots of things ..better forget them now and just use the stock ROM from SE.
Guys i need some serious help , I am using u8150 ideos, My Wi-fi or Wifi portable hotspot has just stopped working no matter how much i wipe data factory reset install stock rom or change any rom it doesnt work. First it used to give Error in between connection now it doesnt even get On. it says Error below Wi-Fi doesnt detect any network there is 1 mine and 2-3 in the area that it used to detect, i installed CM7 rom on my mob once and it had many bugs and a kernel too am sure its a kernel or some problem .. i doubt there is any hardware problem cuz everything else works just fine!
in anger i also deleted a wifi folder from root explorer thinking it will remake itself but delete or not the wifi doesnt work. Help would be appreciated.
I am having this same problem. can anyone help please ?
Download Odin One Click Downloader, connect your phone to your comp while in download mode, press start on Odin and wait. this will take you back to the OS you bought it from. for example, if you got Ur phone in android eclair or ics or GB or whatever, itll go back to that way. use samsung kies mini to upgrade your phone back
Hi hope somebody can help here, acquired this phone yesterday (used) put sim in works fine makes and receives calls no problem, connects to the net via browser sometimes no problem , when tethering with either wifi or usb connection lasts for a few mins then loses connectivity but browsing on the phone browser works fine (Icon still shows data connected arrows-- signal blue), sometimes the browser loses it too but only when trying to go to links from google search, if i scroll though the pages of search results via google it open up the next page of results WTF !!!! I have tried bluetooth and many different tethering apps all with same result, I tried to update rom but verification failed even with a force flash, cannot flash recovery as it asks for blaze drivers, tried standard adb driver but device not found when trying adb-devices , its running B021 Vodafone uk rom kernel version 3.08-00004, any ideas Im about to give up and take it back HELP !!
Update, I have managed to install clockwork by installing linux dual boot, think I will keep it too, now running jellybean, now just need to port some Roms ! also I think xda should give this phone is own section , finding anything on xda for it is nightmare !
hi guys good day! .it is running on jellybean 4.1.1 and equiped with rk3066 chipset.the problem is when im far from our wifi router like 5 meters away my wifi signal drops to 1 bar i have already updated our router to the latest firmware but unfortunately the problem still exist. i think my tablet's wifi driver is the problem. .is there anyone could help me to fix this problem? thank you im willing to upload my wifi driver for you to modify it i know that there are lots of devs here in xda that could help me.

AFAIK not all drivers can be modified because they are not all open source , i guess your tablet is chinease and very cheap , maybe it is just a hardware issue , do you have the same problem when you try to connect to another router (in a public place , your friend's....)? , since when did you start having this problem i mean did you already manage to connect to that same router with your tablet while being farther than 5 meters? and are your other devices connecting without problems to your router ?

AFAIK the only way to be sure if it is a software (android?) or a hardware issue is to reset your device after backing up everything (nandroid backup if rooted or something else), if the problem is still present after reseting your device i am 90% sure it is a hardware issue , in this last case you can go to your manufacturer support center or send them your device to repare it , if your device is still under wanrenty it might be free of charge , if it is a software issue , resseting your device should solve the issue but you will lose your data (if you backed up your apps on your sd or on the cloud it will be easy to get them back) , to reset your device if you are rooted (after backing up everything) go to your custom recovery (twrp , clockworkmod...) and then go to factory reset (or something like that :silly: ) and select the only "yes" option that you will see in the screen , if you are not rooted (stock rom) you normally will find an option for resetting on system settings/personal/backup and reset (i am on cm9 it might be different for you but just look for reset option in settings you might be asked for your gmail account to be sure you are the owner of the device) , normally resetting is a natural process but i am not responsible for any damage that might happen to your device (be careful with cwm and BACK UP everything)
