No data non rooted? - HTC Rezound

Anyone have an idea why my friend's stock rez has no data when mine has full 4g sitting right beside it? He can connect to my Verizon but nothing else. Any idea

I think your data radio is damaged,

Thing is he can use his Verizon widget to check his account but nothing else will get data. It won't even show 4g until he opens the widget then 4g works. Only for that app though. I'm at a loss

have you tried resetting the phones data toggle? or you can try *#*#4636#*#* and whatever is selected where it says "CDMA LTE Perffered" or whatever, whichever is selected by default, select another and then quickly select the default again.

1x woes

Hey guys. I've had my EVO for a while and I've been flashing roms like a fiend, recently I've been stuck on 1x for a few days now. I switched to a stock based ROM and updated all my stuff. Called sprint and they reset my connection and its still on 1x. They want me to go into a store because they think its the phone. Any last minute ideas? Should I s-on or anything. Im also worried about them switching out the phones and me being able to root the new one.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
in dialer dial ##DATA# click edit mode enter you msl click data profile then hit the settings(?) button on the bottom of phone click restore reboot phone let it do its thing see if that helps
And if you do end up bringing it in, normally a fresh flash of a completly stock ROM will work, as long as you don't have a custom splash screen they shouldn't notice s-off.
They would try to do an update which will include 1.5 bootloader.( I've seen someone who did this and ended up with 1.5 boot, with s-off as a result, but who knows what was done to it in the store)
Go with the instructions above my post, worth a shot..
Shot from my sharp shooter in 3d
cleanrom2.9.5
Tried restoring, no luck still on 1x. I don't want to be stuck on hboot 1.5 don't they not have s off yet?

I think what might have done it though was out of curiosity in that settings of *#*#4636#*#* I pressed menu and change radio band to 1900 frequency but I changed it back to 800 frequency. Not able to roam

Anyone know how I can get roaming to work? I'm rooted, s-off with 1.58 hboot. Whenever my phone switches to roaming, I can't make/recieve calls nor texts. However it shows 1x for data. Ive tried prl update, different roms and hard reset and none have solved the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
At least your phone switches to roaming. I have to manual switch it, automatic mode doesn't work. Have you tried switching to Roam only mode? Are you on ICS, I wonder if the ICS update Borked roaming or sprint is trying to pinch pennys by making it difficult.

Id rather have 2 manually switch 2 roam, just as long as it worked when in roaming. I dont have the option in the rom Im using now and yes I have an ics rom. Yeah I think sprint is trying 2 pinch pennys. Even their service is getting to suck. 3G hardly ever works and calls are hit and miss to make/recieve and constant fail txt

Lost LTE

Hey guys I have been rooted for a while now but on Sunday I crack flashed a bunch of 4.2 roms and lost connection to 4g. I have replaced my sim card and re flashed the radios but I am now stumped. When I get home I will probably Odin back to stock but if you guys have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Just wanted to know if there was anything I could try in the mean time.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
go into settings/more settings/mobile networks/network mode, then toggle lte/cdma and see if it brings 4g back up. If that don't work you can try a factory reset, still nothing then odin back to stock.
Yeah tried all of that. Looks like I have a date with Odin tonight.

Restored via odin and still no 4g. I'm at a loss. Could I have burned the 4g capabilities?
did you get a new sim from vzw? i know you said that you "replaced" it but was that with a new or used sim? also might want to power device off and make sure the sim is seated properly.
also are you getting 3g, 1x, or any data at all?
I finally got it guys thanks.

how did u fix it?
After all of that fighting the system, changing the sim, reloading stock the sim holder is sort of wide and the spring forces it just a bit off of the contacts I adjusted it just a bit rebooted and got 4g back. Always check the stupid things that it could be first. Lesson learned for the 10th time. Though I checked it multiple times before resorting to a system restore so who knows what caused it.

[Q] Anyone else having LET/eHRPD issues on northern NJ?

thinking Verizon is having a bad day... cannot connect or force LTE and 3g eHRPD fails then I eventually get evdo A
also...##778# on my thunderbolt used to bring up a menu where I could alter the modern setting to only look for evdo rev a for 3g... which is a life saver in times like this... is that setting hiding somewhere on the DNA?
thanks in advance

nope.. on the HTC thunderbolt.. dialing ##778# would initialize an EPST menu where you would select edit mode...
from there at the password prompt you would put in 000000
at the full EPST menu you would select modem settings
in that sub menu.. select Rev A
by default it was set to eHRPD.. but if you changed it to enable, commit the modification and reboot,it would force rev a 3g data which was a godsend when Verizon was having LTE/ eHRPD outages... as they always seem to go hand in hand
I'm down in Wilmington, DE and was having issues up until about 2 hours ago. No data at all...
