[Q] Tmobile stock rom for galaxy s3 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering that what if I flash tmobile official rom for s3 to my international version unlocked s3, can I have access to tmobile's 4g lte?
One more question, since I rooted my phone, so when I press volum down+ home+ power button into recovery mode, the recovery mode is the original one or it is from cmw which installed in automatically after successfully rooted? I used the root method from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
Thank you all.

[Q] Interesting Problem rooting device

I installed this kernel from Chainfire's thread: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KH4-v4.1-CWM4.tar
However, my phone says that I have the KH7 kernel, but I figured this one ( KH4 ) would be close enough. It flashed fine, and I have root access and all, but my back button no longer works at all (not even haptic), and my Home button is acting like a back button - meaning I essentially have lost my Home button...
But now that my device is rooted, when I boot into debug mode, I get the CWM menu, meaning I can no longer use Odin correct? But because my home button is gone, I cannot select "install zip from sd card"
My question is this: Without the use of the Home button on my device, is there anyway to flash a new kernel?
Thanks to anyone who can answer this.
You just flashed cf root for the INTERNATIONAL SGS2 and NOT FOR THE ATT SGS2. That is why you lost some buttons. Make sure to use ATT SGS2 ROMS/KERNELS. There is a post about how to fix your issue in the att section to get you back to the att version of the SGS2.
Brought to you by my KICKASS CM7 AT&T SGS2
I realize I flashed the wrong version, but my question is how do I flash a different version without the use of my Home key? That is the issue.

You boot into Download mode and flash the right one in Odin. How hard is that.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777
Can I still use Odin even if I have already rooted the device? Do I just hold up vol + down vol + power to boot into download mode? I thought that was called debug mode...
From the FAQ:
How do I put my phone into Download mode so I can flash w/ Odin?
Take out the battery from the back to ensure your phone is completely off, then put the battery back in. Now hold down on both the Up and Down Volume buttons and plug the USB coming from your PC into your SGS2. Once you see a warning screen let go of the volume buttons. Hit the Up Volume button to continue into download mode.
I found that you can just click the volume down + power button to get into download mode.
I think everyone is missing the point of my question. Can I flash my phone with Odin EVEN IF I ALREADY HAVE CWR INSTALLED? I cannot use CWR to flash as I lost the use of my Home button (cannot select from the menu)
I resolved my own issue. There is a difference between RECOVERY mode and DOWNLOAD mode. To boot into recovery you hold vol up + vol down + power, to boot into download mode you JUST hold vol up + vol down, then plug into USB. I did not realize there were two different modes, sorry for wasting time and causing confusion.
Yup, you can always boot into download mode as long as you didn't flash a bootloader.
Another way of saying it is:
If the screen turns on at all, you can recover by flashing something correct in download mode.

Bricked S2?

I recently soft bricked my new AT&T S2.
I have clockwork recovery installed (4.0.0.2), and the only buttons that work are home (goes back to the first menu), volume up/down, and power to hide the menus. I can't select anything at all, it seems like I have the international version of the recovery, not one for the S2.
Anyways, I can't get into download mode by holding down the home + Vol up+ power, and Odin can't seem to connect to my phone if it's in clockwork recovery and not download mode.
Would the jig work? Or is having no ability to boot into download mode pretty much a killer? I can access my phone through ADB, I just don't know my way around adb as well as I would like.
Is there any way to flash a different recovery via ADB? Any other solutions to get my phone up and running again? Because right now it's not booting at all.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Q&A (unless you're running a I9100 on AT&T's network)

Samsung Galaxy SII LTE (SGH-I727R)

I have a BIG problem. The volume down button does not work. For this phone, I am supposed to hold both the volume up and down buttons and the power button in order to get into recovery mode. Is there an alternative for somehow getting into recovery?
Also, I want to root this device, but I am running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the only rooting methods I could find is using Odin which requires the volume down button. Then there is the SuperOneClick method or Zergrush, but as far as I understand, these rooting methods only work for this phone if it has Gingerbread.
Any ideas?

G925FXXU3COI9 Root

Is there a possible way to root the g925fxxu3coi9 5.11 S6 Edge? I've heard some guys tried to and got stuck at the bootscreen. And if it is possible, could somebody please reffer me to a guide on how to do it safely? Thank you.
Hey rsnail_valy! I guess you are looking for this thread. I haven't rooted my one yet though TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.1 and Root for G925F Android 5.1.1 (unofficial)
Yeah I saw that thread but it's not really explicit at all, I can't really understand what I have to do reading what it says there, maybe someone could explain...
Hi, Yesterday i root my 925F through this method Just do it bro download all three files. TWRP, Kernel and Super User..
Copy Kernel and Super User file to your phone..
then power off and go in to recovery(Holding Vol Down + Home + Power) ...Flash TWRP through ODIN(Uncheck Auto Reboot in options) After Flashing Holding Vol down and Power to turn off mobile.
After that Go to recovery by Holding Vol up+ Home + Power .
You now in recovery Now Flash Kernel and Super User then you are Ready to go

Umm ... I'm in the same issue as the OP. How do you flash Kernel and SuperUser with TWRP ? You just flash them with ODIN while you are in the Recovery tab, or how ? Please explain, because I tried once to root my COI9 and I got stucked in the bootloop and I just don't want to repeat this again.
After I flash TWRP with Odin then I proceed to flashing Kernel and SuperSU (which I previously copied on my phone) with TWRP from the recovery menu shown on my phone's screen? And also, after this rooting method am I going to be able to use fingerprint scanner on the lock screen? I heard some guys lost this feature of the phone after rooting, is this true?
