[Q] Pink hue on gtablet - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Help (hopefully)! Had my gtab slide out of my hands and hit the back of the tablet directly to a table. Still working fine, but have a pink hue where the white typically are (usually in fonts and icons, but also on a full white screen, like the 3 bird splash screen). Any useful advice?
Thanks!

Open up your tablet and re-seat the LCD connector. Should fix any faulty display issues you have.

Is there something wrong with my screen??

I just purchased a Dell Streak and got it in the mail today (straight from Dell). I opened it and powered it on and noticed something when it was booting the screen flashed black and logo appeared etc.
During the screen flashing black it seemed like a portion of my screen flashed diff colors ranging from white, grey, rainbowish in a very small instant. It happens every time I turn it on and off. I was wondering if there's something wrong with my screen? When I press down in the area that shows the mark it seems to make the area blurry.
I attached a picture so you could see what it looks like.
Thanks

Yikes, id return it quickly and get another one!
I had dead pixels on my first streak out of the box and change it the next day. I suggest you to do so.
Sent from my Dell Streak (the beast)
The screen ended up cracking about a month after having it. Contacted Dell and they were nice enough to send me a replacement but didn't receive it until last week.
Is it normal for the screen to sort of distort in the corners? Like it's sort of fuzzy in the corner when viewing certain colors. I'm pretty sure it's a refurb but if this is sometimes normal then I'd be okay with that (giving it to my sister to use)
Since you just got back a referb, can you check what rom is installed on it?
And that doesnt sound right for it to distort slightly, but is it for still pictures or for motion?

Green Screen Problem - Anyone seen this?

Hey all, I had my g tab in my bag in a case in my locker for a couple of weeks. I pulled it out today to mess with it, and all of the true black colors have this Matrix-like green appearance to them. It's not any particular pixels that have become stuck, it's the way the device displays the true blacks. I tried all the market apps for pixels, and the colors work just fine, however, when the black and red come up, the green fuzzy pixels are displayed for a few seconds, and then become corrected. I'm not really sure what to do. I was going to take the back off and check for disconnected wires, etc, but thought I should ask xda first.
Thanks
adam

Stuck/Dead Pixel Question

On my TP, I have what looks to be just a single pixel towards the center that stays black all the time. However, when the screen is on but displaying all black, this little bugger shines bright white. I've tried running various apps that switch between colors and it doesn't seem to help.
Does this sound like something that can be fixed or that will go away, or does this point to a bad screen? I actually spoke with HP's support a while ago and they said they would be able to take it back under warranty and "fix" it (I assume I would get a different refurb back). I'm not sure now if I should just go that route -- I just hate to have to redo everything I have on it, plus I don't currently have any cracks in the plastic, etc.
Is there a stuck pixel program for android?
Yeah there are a few that I tried
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect
and
https://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co.technicalmargaret.game.pixelfixer
I've left these running for a few hours a couple times, but no luck. I can't seem to figure out exactly when the pixel will shine white. It usually happens when the screen is black, but I tested it again and it's not all the time. I'm starting to think I'll either have to try to get it replaced or live with it.

I just noticed there that mine has one, it's not very noticable, I can only see it on a black background, but meh, I'm not tooooo pushed! Would obviously prefer if it was normal
If the pixel is black/grey, then the pixel is dead, and there is no reviving it unless you get a new screen.
If the pixel is green/red/blue/yellow then you can try to revive the pixel using a pixel fixer.
mine's a greeny sort of colour, will try fix it later XD
Turn you touchpad completely off and see if you can see this thing without it being on. I had to have my touchpad repaired because I had large chunks of dust between the glass and screen that displayed similar behaviour.
I recently noticed stuck/dead pixel on blue background on my S3. On white, green and red backgrounds it is not visible but on blue it is. Here are pictures,is it fixable?

Hard to say -- I would try to run one of the pixel fixer apps and see if that works. If the pixel is stuck on a color, it has a better chance of waking back up.

An S3? Those are not LCD, but organic LED screens. I don't think they can be brought back to life with the pixel fixer technique

Image Retention Issues

Is anyone experiencing image retention issues with their Xperia 1? I've noticed that using Always on display I can see an imprint of the clock on the screen for a few seconds after unlocking the phone.

it's weird why is it changing place, how long is the mobile?
The burning you can find on OLED panel is due to the difference in life span of the subpixel. Blue ones wear 2 to 3 times faster than red and green ones. That's why when you always have a black bar on the bottom due to nav button, or in the top due to the info bar, one year later when you turn all the screen white, you will see that the top and bottom bars are whiter and the middle yellowish (more red and green power than blue).
It's permanent, and can't be cleaned by a color strobe. The only workaround, if the wear is homogeneous, is to change the color tint to correct all the screen.
Also to prevent this, best is to avoid blue wallpaper since it will accentuate the wear of the blue oled subpixel.
Now about the always ON display, it's moving regularly to avoid the wear of the blue oled (white display is equally using blue, green and red) only in one specific area, it shouldn't burn the screen (not like a Coyote app on the S7 edge of a friend).
But here it's another thing, like a long response time of the pixel, since it's not permanent and just disappear in few seconds, so it's not a screen damage. I do not have it, but I don't use the Sony launcher, maybe is it just an animation?
When I power on my phone, the always one disappears for half a second displaying black screen then the wallpaper appears.
I've had zero issues with mine.
