Is it possible to implement a modification to the dialer so that pressing a contact when smart dialing will dial the number without needing to push the 'call' button? If so, is someone willing to do this?

Hi,
I would like to reprogram my hard buttons, mostly the lock button. Is there an app that can do this? I'd like to make it launch an app when i press it and then lock it ( the app itself locks the droid ).

what version do you have? I have the sprint 16gb and the screen unlocks every time i press the home button
I have the TMobile one. Mine wakes up but doesn't unlock

How about you just turn off the lock screen and whenever your phone is sleeping, once the home button is pressed, it goes directly to your home. The only solution so far for your issue.

go into Messaging, settings, and it's on the bottom
I want a application which can change functions of the lock button (I want lock button to open an application)
