I checked AT&T website before I bought mine. They had it at $249. I got it for $199 using a price match from Walmart at best buy.

Wha? In Store?
I went to 1 of my local at&t stores yesterday, and they listed $250 for on-contract pricing. Seems the regular at&t stores usually charge more than other locations.
But I've been hearing that numerous places sell them for $150 or $200.
where on earth can you get one for $150 ???

I paid $229 from AT&T Employer web store. I had to buy it from there to get 20% discount on my monthly plan. Walmart can't do that.
Just played with the note and DNA at the vzw store. I really like the feel of the Note which surprised me. What is the best/least expensive source to buy the Note 2 off contract? We aren't extending our contract again if we can help it.

Craigslist!

Waiting for it to show up online for no tax such as Amazon and for WireFly to update their pricing to match Verizon's (currently $759).
Craigslist is a good alternative but warranty is questionable.
What is the best place to purchase and still get Asurion coverage?
Verizon, Amazon Wireless for the sure. Where else?

Will Best Buy price match Verizon Wireless if I'm buying off-contract? I have $400 in Best Buy Gift Cards, so I'm going to buy it from them regardless, just would prefer not to have to pay $100 extra.
I've heard of people getting Best Buy to price match, but have never tried it personally. What's the worst that they'll tell you? Sorry, we can't do that?

Verizon and asurion will definitely not warranty your device from a device bought off Craigslist. I've tried before, and contacted various VZW reps and asurion rep

Anybody have any experience with Costco? Do they sell phones at a discount without contract?

From what I've seen, no, they're not going to discount the month to month price.

My Costco won't, just the contract pricing.
What about just going to the Verizon store, should be a decent place to purchase, right?
Also, how about Asurion when buying from Wirefly?

Just bought a brand new grey one off of Craigslist yesterday for $550 (white is cheaper ~$500) compared to ~$750 after tax at a retail store like Best Buy or Verizon.
Ok, what about iphone 5 and s3 prices?
Thank you guys

I can't check via their website since I don't have my number yet.
Thanks
it costs $580, for new and existing customers.
with well qualified credit or over 2 year tenure you can put $100 down and pay the rest over $20 installments for $24 months.
If you're on an older plan and think that sounds crazy visit your local T-Mobile store so they can explain it fully because it's alot better than an upgrade used to be.
Its not crazy considering a famil plan is $110 for for 5 lines now. Tmo rocks
Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk 2
If you have good credit it will be 99 down and 20 a month to pay it off. If your credit isn't as good it will be 280 down but only 12.50 a month to pay it off. If you are on a grandfathered plan, at most you might be paying the same thing monthly that you are now, but usually it ends up being cheaper than you are paying now and you get a lot more for your money.

If you stay on classic, which we did because we have killer data deals for being customers forever, you can do upgrade pricing at Wal-Mart or Costco. It's not at Costco yet, but it's $150 for new contracts or upgrades.
The value plan seems to usually be cheaper, but if we can get the one for $50 (it's $150+tax and then the $100 rebate from htc) on a couple of our lines it's worth it to us to pay an extra $10/month.

If you are talking about the HTC phone trade in program, be wary. That program is extremely strict and if they deny your phone for any reason, you get an adjusted rebate or 0 - either way, you just gave up your phone by sending it in. In most cases, a CL, Swappa, or eBay sale would be much better.

Thanks, I tried to read all the fine print and we're sending in an old, rooted G1 for my wife so I'm not too worried, but now I'm rethinking my S3. I prob could sell it myself for more than the $210 they're offering.

S3s in great condition sell very well - usell quoted me 198 for my 16GB and you can usually bump that up 15-25% on a CL sale.

They go for much higher than that on eBay. It's the best place to sell it, all the other guys are middle men who take a cut and just list it in eBay

Was looking foward to getting it at Costco until the rep informed me today that they won't be selling the T-Mo One. At least for now.
Anyone buying the phone outright without contract?
Where are you going to make the purchase? Bestbuy, Amazon wireless, Wirefly, Radioshack?
I'm trying to avoid Ebay since there may be problems with returning due to hardware problems.
Ill be buying at a corporate sprint store. Then quickly selling my s4. Thats the goal

Looks like Bestbuy and Amazon are both marketing the Retail Price at $799 + tax.
Sprint's website is selling at $699
https://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/sh...&flow=AAL&planSKUId=null&tabId=dt_phones&ptn=
I can confirm that it is$699 at Sprint. I only had to pay the taxes on the retail price since I did the One Up program. My total was just $49 and I walked out with a white Note 3 in my hand!

I bought flat out at Best Buy. They matched the 699 price at Sprint. I changed my mind about waiting for the 1Max, or the Mega. Who knows, I might still get one of them for Tri-band goodness. Luckily I already had $65 in Reward Zone Certificates, now I have to get rid of this Note 2......
I also had Best Buy price match the $699 price shown on the Sprint website.
