Talked to the portal writer and he gave some info. He said people set up threads to get stuff working and it worked.
To get the devs an incentive to work on the what we need, we will have to put some money into this. Who doesn't like to make some money for doing what they do best!
So this is how it will work, tell me what you guys want fixed and completed. Mention what you are willing to pay for it as well
Example: GSM/Data working on Sense 4 port. User X is willing to pay $10 and User Y is willing to pay $15.
I'll update the OP and tell make a thread in the private recognized developer section I have access to.
Let's all add it here and hopefully we can spark more interest here!

Careful with your wording, there is a difference between having a bounty thread and posting "say how much you are willing to pay to get it" ... Might be a good idea to reword the post slightly.
Here is what comes to mind;
Open-Source WiFi Drivers
Stable CM9 Device Tree (enough to receive official support, nightly builds...etc)
Stable AOSP Device Tree
Fully ported stock Sense 4 ROM
I would donate $10 (probably more) a piece for any of the items listed above. But I fear what we need, will have to come from HTC, and I am guessing we won't get it. It seems that it would take an extraordinary effort to reverse engineer WiFi drivers, which would allow CM9, AOSP, & Kernels but I have seen amazing things (pun) happen at XDA. :fingers-crossed:
Sense 4 would likely be achievable...

I'm in for 10 bucks if that means I can eventually have aokp...so 10 each for cm9 and wifi drivers/GSM???

I agree with krook reverse engineer WiFi drivers most important as it will simplify and allow all others to fall in place. If I'm correct, I got 40 $ on reverse engineering WiFi drivers. As for the others I'll wait and see.

I'll put another 10 on that wifi driver. If that piece exists, everything else will happen in time, including sense 4 and AOSP JB. No one's going to build that wifi driver unless there's an incentive for it though.

It's almost that time! It seems that a 100% bug free version of Cm9 is eminent! I personally cannot wait. Can anyone that knows the status for sure give us that are waiting some updates as they come??? I know there are a few builds but I'm talking about straight cm9!

#1 rule of XDA: Don't ask for ETAs.
I would say CM9 is 98% complete. Lots of people are reporting Bluetooth not fully working. Give our awesome devs a hug and let them know you love them.
Just hang around until they get JB going.
Is hw excel working?I don't know..I ran sum of the standard benchmark test and saw huge decrease in speed,,plus it gave Me horrible signal.,and cramps
I haven't run a benchmark on this version, but I was getting in the 6k range on Antutu last version, which is the same as Sense.
And, yes, I'm going to hug Chad with more money.

Just got 6534 in Antutu, including over 59 fps in both 3D tests. It's testing faster than Sense for me.

I think you mean "imminent."
It looks like were close. Chad said he has fixed everything 100%, and everything just looks to be ROM specific.
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for a 100% JB ROM, simply because I think it will be along very soon and I hate wiping / reflashing repeatedly. What's another month after all we've been waiting?
I might cave and go for one of the CM9 ROMs or AOKP if Meadows can get it 100%, mainly because it will be official and not a fork from the ROM source.
Chad is amazing, and if I didn't have a car payment, I would have sent a hefty donation his way. Once I get some financial things settled down, I may send him a couple hundred for all his hard and amazing work.

unless we find a maintainer for CM9 or CM10 it will never be a full support by the CM team all we will have is other members builds on this site.

JB is not as far off as ICS was to GB. The updates are minimal for JB where ICS was a complete rework. Let's pretend you have a house named GingerBread. For ICS, we had to demolish that house and redo the foundation. Now, the house is just about move in ready. Once we've moved in, we can decide to do some remodeling which will take a little longer (JB). The framework is already in place, the devs just need to make a few changes here and there.

Also, remember the S3 has CM9 and I wouldn't be surprised if the Note 2 gets it pretty quickly as well (since others are saying the Rez is the only non-Nexus with CM9).
It's a great accomplishment, I really hope we can get officially added to the ROM so we can update via ROM Manager.

As stated above, we really want a maintainer so we can get all the benefits of ROM Manager. If it doesn't get official, I'll stick with AOKP so we can get official support.

Okay I know some people look down at donation threads since the whole Joelz thing for the Verizon S3. But I've ran Beans ROMs most of the time I had an S3. They're so customizable, fast n smooth. He did a lot of great work for the S3 n has the best rom on the S3. He says he may possibly have a root method but would need to test it n have others to test it. He currently has $350 but needs $700. I will start things off by donating $20. Let's get things going n let's bring a great dev onto this. He is part of Team Liquid and is part of MIUI.US so lets help a good dev out! If you donate to beans, PM me and I'll add you to the list!

If I end up getting the Note 2 today, I'll chip in a bit now, and then more after I try out the ROM's. I'm only hesitating because for one I've been swapping phones every week for the past 3 weeks so I don't know if I'll stick with it, and I don't have any past experience with his ROM's.

Look guys I know there's been bashing about some stuff Beans has said lately. I'm not taking sides cuz I donate to devs when I got the spare money n I like to use everyone's work n give feedback on it. I donate when i can especially during the holidays. I've donated to some members on Team Synergy, Team BAMF, Team Liquid and to Beans once in the past. I talked to him a little in the past n when I had an issue n PMed him, he was quick to help n he seems like a good guy. This is just to help get a developer on this phone to help develope roms and see if his root method would actually work. I know how some people feel about donations. I feel some type of way about it sometimes but people are free to spend their money the way they like. If one does not wish to donate then that's fine. I just don't want this to turn into a flame war or cause issues here on XDA

Probably not. Already a number of devs working on things.
I would imagine that you will see a few new devs and roms when/if the first person figures out a reasonable way of converting N4 / ASOP roms over though.

The Base rom will probably be updated to 4.1 or 4.2 depending on what's released.
We probably won't see more devs immediately but, keep in mind Christmas is coming up so a lot of people will be getting new devices and have no free time till Christmas..
Then after Christmas people will have less to do, more time, and a new device to play with.

Great point. Plus, we really only need a few devs. Give me one that can compile CM10.1, one that handles AOKP and maybe a few that make some hybrids. Hell, if development doesn't pick up once JB source for this device is available, I will buy a phone for a member on my team that can build from source

Hi everyone!
AOKP Team Member @rohan32 (and XDA Forum Mod/Recognized Developer) has shown interest in bringing all the LG G2 variants to AOKP. He has already built one test build for all variants of the device and they are booting, but in order to fix bugs, he should get a device.
He doesn't have one, but he's the real absolute deal (I used his work on the HTC One XL). If anyone can help that kid get a phone I'll contribute. His reputation is impeccable,
LG G2 devices cost around $450 on Swappa. Lets get him a device!

(view my submissions to CM here: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/owner:"Rohan+Mathur+%3Crohanmathur34%40gmail.com%3E",n,z
- Maintain official AOKP for the device
- Maintain official PA/AOSPA for the device
- Maintained official LiquidSmooth for the device
- Creator of the most popular custom kernel for the device, known as rohan.kernel
Nexus 7 (2013):
- Official AOKP maintainer
I also maintain Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 4, submit patches for i9300, and much more.
I contribute also to CyanogenMod for the HTC One V and HTC One X+ (AT&T).
Currently I am working with the rest of the AOKP team on bringing AOKP up for 4.4.
At the moment, some of you are running my LG G2 Verizon port which I distributed via twitter. The build has some GPS issues, however, that I cannot solve without the device. Although I could continue to try and fix the bugs by pushing out test build after test build and waiting 1-2 days for testers to get back to me on whether it was fixed, the process makes pulling teeth seem easier.
I'm currently interested in attaining an LG G2 for AT&T. By getting one for AT&T, I can bring AOKP officially to every variant of the LG G2 (AT&T, Tmo, Verizon, Sprint, and International/GSM/Canada) since they all are either very similar to one another or actually share common device repos.
It seems that the going rate for an LG G2 is $450 on Swappa (if you can find one for cheaper, please let me know!). I personally am a high school student and I don't have much money to spare, but whatever you guys can contribute would be amazing. Whomever contributes will forever be in my "Thanks" list!
Thanks everyone!

This build of PA is good for me.
It's too bad we couldn't predict when the Amazon deal was going to happen and got devs phones for $200 a pop.

If you really want this to happen, start a contribution thread for aokp. A lot of people just got this phone at a steal so it might add up quick. If you decide to do this, I'll be the the first to throw in cash.
I'll contribute, but I do not have the history on here to inspire trust, which I understand. I don't post enough. I'll contribute of someone will take the reigns. Rohans work will benefit all the Devs and Roms

My whopping 4 posts counts me out. Funny, if we didn't have loki support there'd already be a huge bounty thread like the s4 and note 3. Not sure why someone with some xda cred doesnt take ownership of this.
I know. He's on AOKP team, bringing official build which will help everyone

The Verizon G2 is officially supported by AOKP I thought. If that's the case ANY Dev can fork or clone the AOKP git and sync with JUST the G2 branch and compile an AOKP ROM. I am running an unofficial build and its great! (Except GPS)
Of course getting another Dev to do it is awesome, the more the merrier.
And AICP is very close to AOKP. Just the four cherry-picks in AICP extras make it AICP.
If a more veteran XDA member was to start a donation thread to help this dude get the phone and bring official AOKP to us Verizon users, I'll throw in $50. 'Tis (almost) the season, after all.
Me too

I'd be at 50 as well and that would put us a third of the way there based on swappa prices right now.
One thing that might get us a bit more attention is getting the king of aokp to post to this thread.
Hi everyone!
First off, a big thanks to big70tom for posting this here! I didn't expect it at all but its greatly appreciated.
For those of you who don't know me, I'll give you a quick rundown of my past work.

Hope I'm not stepping on the OP's toes here, but we have just been posting the amount we are willing to donate. The OP will have to add your name to the first post.
Well umm.. I'd let my BNIB D801 go for $420 with free shipping. It is not on contract. (Dunno whether that matters or not.) I can throw it up on eBay for PayPal and feedback. That may or may not be helpful.

Sorry, I really need an AT&T variant to ensure things like LTE are working correctly and thats all I can test atm (T-Mobile service where I'm at is essentially nonexistent). If LTE works on the AT&T model, then it will most likely work on the other GSM models with the correct bands.
Thanks for the offer though!
I actually have a 2 day old white ATT G2 that I could sell you for 415!
This phone has been out for almost a year and a half and there is still no cyanogenmod.
I am willing to transfer $20 in any way possible to anyone who will send me a working port for cyanogenmod 12 on the desire 610. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the skills required.
I do have $20 though. And you could too!
(If someone else also has $20 but not skills, feel free to add to the bounty so there's more incentive)

I'm gonna give the whole porting the cm12 a shot tomorrow, and I'll see how everything goes. its not gonna be a full bugless port unfortunately, because I have only little experience
