Huge light blur in camera (especially in darkness) - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, whenever there's an object that shines light it creates an unreasonable light blur around it ruining the picture, it is even present at daytime.
I've attached an example, anything I can do? Thanks
Camera results in night are very poor and daily ones where there is indoor lightning or reflection come out very wrong

Sorry, here's the file

Greasy Lens?
Not to sound condescending, but have you tried wiping the lens of the camera? It happens to me in broad daylight with white objects all the time.

[Q] dust accumulation under screen?

I have noticed a large amount of dust accumulating under the top right hand corner of the screen.
Has anyone else noticed anything similar or know how to get rid of and/or prevent any more dust entering?
Thanks

Crack it open and clean it out.
Same problem here, but mine is under the screen, near camera button. I think the only way to solve it is send the phone back to the provider and ask them to clean it up.

Not really the only way, I'd try it myself or take it to a shop before sending it back to anywhere.
I think according to ur pic's it's just under the screen protector

Crazy focusing issue

I'm really enjoy the Xperia S, but one problem I have is that the camera seems to easily go out of focus and then I move it a little and it will focus then unfocus again. using the autofocus button fixes it, but its still annoying have to deal with this.
Sometimes when focusing on a close object then away it can take a while to refocus...
Has anyone else experienced this, or could it be a fault?
Have AF trouble with video, but not with stills.
I think the issues I have also are found when filming, but I haven't test this fully yet.
yeah its crazy sometimes
I have FX camrea zoom.. works a muillion times better than the built in camera
Try using infinity auto focus.

Yes , the focus is slower than arc and take long time to take a picture in certain moment .
But the trade is you will get perfect white balance with nice photo clarity .

Camera Issues after installing int'l kernel

Well, first time around the camera was just black. Read about other people having the same issues, basically, don't apply the camera fix.
After I got out of that mess, I ended up with blurry images, the camera won't focus at all.

Found the issue, broken auto focus in the camera hardware. You can't hear it when you shake the phone around either. Going in for a replacement.

So it was just a coincidence after flashing the kernel?

Probably, because my wifes htc one has a rattle while mine doesn't and I hadn't taken any pictures with it before that, hard to tell.

That's really very poor! Wipe the camera and try again... Did u unlock bootloader without backing up the drm keys? If so then that's what it is deatined to.. Else Superior Auto takes awesome pics.. Try another location

Remove any "screen" protector, thin or thick they cause problems. If not, the Flash light is bleeding; maybe because of poor assembly after the back was removed.

Need help! Camera causing certain artifacts when taking a shot.

When i try to take a photo of my window against the light i can see the window reflected on the lens and the image taken contains it. I've seen other threads mention the same issue when taking the photo of some light source, but this happens with the whole window

This effect is really visible when there is sufficient light outside. I'd like to know whether this is a hardware defect as i have only seen posts having a small circle or a dot.
Just came across this by accident in Tapatalk, but this is certainly a reflection caused by the camera's flat protective screen, which lacks an antireflective coating, to make things worse.
