There is 100's of apps that can do this.
The main one is Texting,
The term you are looking for is a Spoofer,
Caller ID Spoofer, or Texting Spoofer.
Alot of apps require you to buy credit in order to use it.
Of course ensure you follow the terms and it is not used for illegal activity.
Thank you man that was helpful

Hacking other people Facebook and other profiles,so is NOT for education please remove it before someone get's in trouble
haha it's a great software I've "hacked" 2 facebook's profile in a macdonald's in London...it's not legit at all and this software shouldn't be on every hands...u can access to Google,Yahoo, hotmail account with it...
Basically it's like faceniff but used with other stuff. It's fun to use on your friends/family but if you steal e.g. credit card accounts or anything of someone you don't know you can be put in jail.

Hi Everyone,
I have a XDA related question.
How do you people reply back to people who quote u in their comments (every time i comment i save the link so i know if any one quoted)
i think this is not the only way how to track ur activity and the activity u were part of. so people let me know if u have any pointer for me. thanks.

Myself, I quote the persons reply. Others do it differently. That way any following replies know what I'm talking about. Fyi, I mostly use the xda app, rarely use the computer version.
If ur wanting to know when someone commented on a post u made just subscribe to that thread and set notifications

Hi devs,
I wounder if you can make an application that can show the checkpoints that police make.
I know that similar apps exist but what I need is an application that can be used by a lot of people but only authorized admins can state if a checkpoint exist or no.
I live in Bahrain and every night police make many checkpoints around the country to arrest activists.
and im sorry if this thread is in the wrong section.
maybe not everyone knows what happening in bahrain now, but we really need an app like this....
any volunteers ??? please contact me or M_satrawi in private

Hey guys!
I just heard that there is a fault/defect or even a backdoor in Jelly Bean.
Apparently there is a link, somewhere, in the software that takes you to a website, to get your whole phone reset/formatted.
Is there something to this, or is it a rumor, someone is just swatting around?
I, personally, don't believe this, because I've been using JB, since it has been available on the GS 3, but there are people believing this..
Thanks for helpful answers!
Ask Google, it will find you thousands of pages about this.
Oh, its free too.
Laziness in extremis.

Come on, please! Do you really think, that if I wouldn't have already checked and found an answer, that I would ask here?
No, I wouldn't.. I already checked and found nothing, that's why I'm asking
Not to be disrespectful, or anything, but I ain't stupid, I just want to know, if there is something like this in our JB ROMs, according to family members, we (I) have to go to Samsung.com and download the newest firmware, which gets rid of this bug/backdoor/virus, etc. ... What ever this is supposed to be..
Still, thanks for answering..
Bet Googles first post is page one on XDA SGS3 forum as well .

Ok. It goes like this. You know how there are dialer codes that make the phone do certain things? Like if you go to the dialer on most phones and punch in *#06#* it'll pop up the IMEI in a dialog box. There's a dialer code to format the phone without warning you. The issue was that the browser would automatically parse a telephone code, so if the website redirected you to a link that had tel://*the dialer code for reformatting*, the browser would paste it into the dialer and the dialer would automatically "dial"/run it. Kind of a stupid, "why didn't I think of that?" trick if you ask me.

you should also be aware that revoking CALL_PHONE permissions would serve to block this attack within any HTML-rendering app (via chrisfu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904629 )

Please read before reply. No one is asking for a warez. It is a free app. No available in all countries. If you want to help give the information. Otherwise don't post unnecessarily
Post one working link I ll be happy.... There was one link on Google that appears to be down.

It's because of people like you that xda is getting worst everyday with your pseudo-righteousness. It's a thread I post if I want to even if it's to say to people to use google.
Want another solution? Hide IP -> chose US -> Download Xonomail. You're welcome!

XDA is a place to help people . not comment on how they could do things differently . and if you even looked or tried to look for these people who need the APK, there is none on Google . yeah, there are links that say Xonomail Beta . but if you go to them, it makes you go to the Play Store to download them . so in the future, i suggest checking before you say things . and don't be a jerk to people who don't deserve it . all they asked for was a simple APK file so that they can try the application since it cannot be used outside of the U.S. remember that XDA is a community and we are supposed to help one another . not fight with people unnecessarily .
here is the APK file . hope you enjoy it .

Ok mea culpa. I did look for it in google and had hundreds of results and I assumed it laziness. Didn't check if the links re-directed to the Playstore or not. I apologise to whoever I seemed like a douche. Thanks for share.

I looked for XonoMail yesterday for almost 2 hours before I gave up and tricked Google Play with a new account "from USA" in order to get it. The apk was unoptainble.
Bringing warez into discussion when the app is free is pure BS.
Apologies gladly accepted.
My turn now. I am sorry I didn't check this post since I was able to install the app, I could of help. My bad.

Personally, I love reading threads on XDA. It contains a lot of information which helps non programmers (aka Noobs) like me. My understanding of XDA was that it is a place to help fellow Androiders and not a place to argue, be rude, be un-helpful or downright dis-respectful. That is the main reason why I joined and have learnt a lot about Android, modding and rooting. But, I do get put off when people argue on threads, are un-helpful or treat other users with dis-respect. And on this thread, there is one user who is guilty of dis-respect (yep. you know who you are). And on that issue, I echo the thoughts of others. If you can't help others gain a better Android experience, then kindly keep your opinions to yourself. Overall, I find 95% of XDA Users extremely helpful and I thank them sincerely.
@Asphyxiation, I live in Australia and can't get this APK either. So thank you very much for sharing. Mighty kind of you.
Cheers
Thanks to this thread, I've just downloaded it. Doesn't do Exchange, which means I still can't abandon the stock mail app. Also doesn't handle Gmail corporate accounts - no biggie for me. I like the concept of it, so I'll give it a try. Google does not seem willing to make Gmail app any less irritating (who on earth reads their email backwards?!) so I'm always on the lookout for a good email app that isn't stupidly overpriced.
You can't get it in the UK yet because it's US only, unfortunately. I suppose that wouldn't stop anyone from using a proxy though if they're really desperate.

Dude if that was pointed at me I've already apologised so why do you insist? Yes I assumed people were being lazy, yes I did not check the Google links and yes I was somewhat of a douche but what else do you want beside my apologies? Nails and a cross perhaps? I also joined xda last year as a noob and in less than a year I had mods out and I always have been helpful but I also have the right and fault to make mistakes even though I admit them right away.

things happen and i think you know what went wrong and how to change it next time . so don't worry . you are forgiven . people are not taking stabs at you nor are they insisting that you did not apologize . they are just voicing their opinions . so don't worry about it . considering you apologized, i am sure you are forgiven . i know you are fine with me .
