So here's the deal...i was following Patembe's guide on how to root my mini pro.
I flashed the 4.0.3 neo V firmware, got the black screen then bam...when i was about to start rooting with doomlord's toolkit i get stuck with the daemon started successfully part. I tried executing doomlord's app still there but it got to cleaning and killing and bla bla then it prompted me to try enabling usb debugging.
I think i forgot to turn it on? Because when i try to flash back to my 4.0.4 sk17i firmware using flashtool, it says there my usb debugging is off...with that said, i can't flash any other firmware because i'm using a neo V firmware with the black screen. I also think i'm on MTP. Damn can anybody help me? I hope there's still a solution to this. Thanks guys! Sorry for my bad english
Flashing firmwares doesn't need USB debugging. If you can't flash, repair with PC Companion.
Do you get in flashmode? Try to press volume down key and then plug the usb cable in the computer. If the green light shines, you can flash the gingerbread rom, cause I guess you tried to root ics.
Do it like its in this tutorial to root and repair your phone.
Have you got unlocked bootloader and have you only flashed kernel or the rest of rom, too?
Doomlord kit has issues getting blocked by antivir.have you disabled it before running the kit?(pressing ignore doesn't help)

depending on your firmware theres a few way to root it
1.6, x10root.apk and universalandroot.apk
Just install em and root
2.1, at first there was z4root but SE patched it out, but i used superoneclick and it looped once and rooted straight away
or you could just flash your phone using Zdzihu method which installs a pre rooted 024 firmware
or use this HowTo

the log always finish by this sentence
what are the lines before??
can you give more details as to what you are doing?
is your phone working fine? can it boot at least to the white sony ericsson logo?
if not, what does it do when you are trying to turn it on?
are you upgrading to a new update?
It is my fren's phone x10 mini pro old one with android 1.6, everything is working, I have rooted it using super one click and.....then I got flash tool error
1.6?
if your phone still boots, then it is better to use PC companion to update to newer firmware.
if your phone is branded, better read the Flashtool thread thoroughly.
and yes, x10 mini pro =/= x10 mini.
be careful what firmware you put in. it needs to be either u20i or u20a for the x10 mini pro.
Hello, I have a sonyericsson xperia X10 suddenly stopped turning, i tried to repair it with the FlashTool, the flash process its ok , but at the end of the process and turn it , vibrates only once and not on the lcd (black), and when i reconnect to the PC, the phone is in flash mode again., pls which files or Fw additional need install first for repair?? thks for your time pd i use the fw x10i generic stock and pc companion not repair it display a error in upload the sw to phone.

thks for your time, itried all methods mentioneh in the posts but nothing work, for this reason i need help thks...
I installed a Rom that went wrong and had to use flashmode with sony's update program, not sure how it's called these days. I if you install that and plug it into the pc holding down the Back button, it recognizes it and will all you what you want to do. Select restore (or something similar). It'll restore it back to 2.3.3. After that you can install xRecovery again with flash tool.
Be aware that this worked for my semi bricked X10i, no guarantee it'll work for you ofcourse.......good luck

You only get that message when you plug in the phone too early
Update>repair>select x10i>then press continue etc>THEN connect phone.
And run stuff as administrator if you got w7.

Even if phone shows up error triangle you should be able to use standart flash mode.
About fastboot dont know, never used it.

No problem, it could be done, but not so simply. I did rooting and xrecovery installation without Flashtool many times since Flashtool werent possible torun on Linux
Root could be done with exploit zergRush; but try SuperOneClick first. It will take some time root it completely manual.
Same with xrecovery, but its much more simple, pasting three or four files to root FS.
Try superoneclick first, if it wont help, will provide more step by step information.
EDIT:
Simpliest solution - almost forgotten
Download the zip provided underthis post.
Extract the zip file.
Connect your phone to computer (remember, that USB debugging must be on!!!)
Run file runme.bat (command line window will appear).
Enjoy !

RELAX first.
You will have to flash the stock SE firmware is by using the X10 Flashtool i .e. get your phone to stock and then root it again.
Here's a video link to the procedure :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmX-IYNYqL8
And a link to the stock SE firmwares:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
I used this firmware :

Happy Flashing !

do you have USB debugging and unknown sources turned on your phone? Because its really strange why adb cant connect.
What ROM and kernel you are currently running on?
@dello what does ur pc say when u type adb devices?

hi,
running the official rom and kernal that the SEUS installed running 2.3.3
and yes debugging mode and allow are both on but still says cannot connect to deamon, could it be the boot loader? i put ICS on a xperia play and did that fine, do i need to unlock the bootloader like i did with the play?
i did try to but the se website wont unlock it
and ADB in dos wont pick it up list empty
cheers
Hi guys I've been trying to root an XPERIA X10a using the flashtool method and g-faces tutorial. I am currently using Flashtool v0.9.9.0. I was able to flash the Generic rom for the X10a (X10a_3.0.1.G.0.75_AMERICA-US GENERIC 1233-8200.zip) After flashing I powered on the phone, turned on unknown applications and USB debugging. When I tried to root all types and styles of root fail at part 1 when waiting for the device. I tried reflashing the FW but I cant because everytime i have the phone powered off and try to start it in flash mode about 5 seconds after the phone says sony ericson and shows a battery charging logo breaking any FW update connection to my PC. I've been using HTC phones for a while and I'm very unfamiliar with this rooting style. I feel like this is 80x harder for some reason.
Try to reflash your Stock Rom via SEUS (Sony Update Service), official app for flashing Stock Rom and Kernel back. Then try to root via Flashtool.
