Hey people,
I don't know if I'm really stupid, or something weird is going on here.
I recently bought the latest Pro version of Titanium Backup (5.3.2). Works brilliantly! If you don't have it yet, buy it, it's so worth the money! (If you flash different ROMs often). But there's one thing.
I would like to auto backup a few of my system settings, but nowhere near all. So I read something about creating a label, which you could use in the planner. But following instructions on creating such label, I get stuck. Instructions are: MENU > Filters > Create Label.
The menu part, I guess, means hitting the three dots, bringing up the options menu. After that: No Filters thingy. Nowhere to be found.
Am I missing something or is this a bug or something?
Cheers
No filters menu
I can't find the Filters menu either.
Galaxy Nexus, rooted, stock ROM.

Select Backup/Restore, then Click to edit filters, then Create label (near the bottom).

Indeed, found it. Thank you for your reply!
Apps Organizer
There is also a separate app in the Play Store called Apps Organizer. The labels it creates seem to be visible in some (but not all) places in Titanium.
titanium back up has failed me every time I needed it.
I created labels but after changing the rom I could not recover the labels. Even though I clicked the auto synch option and followed the instructions.
The only time this application is useful is when you don't change any thing. In such case I would rather use nandroid back up.

Anyone know if there is a flashable zip for clear lockscreen sliders for the X2. I had them on my old X and loved them. I was using widget locker, nut was draining battle too much.
Make the images transparent. They are in the frameworks res/drawable-hdpi folder
How is that done can I use root explorer? My computer is down and out right now. Can I do it on my tab?

dont know, never used a tab before... I would say no though because you need a way to pull files out of a zipped up file... Doesnt metamorph do something like that though?
Hey folks,
I was kind of dissapointed that there's no Hiragana Learning Programm for Windows Mobile. So I sat down and hacked an extremely simple program. It's multiple-choice with 4 other choices. Your progress is stored in a text-file and the likelihood for a hiragana to be questioned depends on your "wrong/right"-ratio.
As mentioned it is extremely simple. If I stay motivated, I might add katakana and some other options like adjustable number of multiple-choices and choice of subsets of all hiragana.
The app needs the msgothic-font to be installed. I uploaded a cab which does exactly this.
I hope there are still some folks who might need something like this. Feel free to post any suggestions.
--Update 1:
I have added Katakana, the option for subsets of the kana and option for choosing direction of learning (question=kana answer=romaji or vice versa). And I also changed the Name of the App. ;-)
Enjoy the learning and feel free to comment.
--Update 2:
I tweaked the algorithm for choosing the next question. And some other minor stuff. --> V1.1
--Update 3:
I have added the option to select the Handwriting-Font MS-Mincho. I won't provide a cab to install this font because of legal issues. But everyone with a Windows Desktop PC can copy the file "msmincho.ttc" from "C:\Windows\Fonts" to "windows\fonts" on their device to install this font. And I also increased the font-size of the buttons for better readability. --> V1.2

It is Done. ;-)
In another little update I tweaked the algorithm for choosing the next question.
In the previous version it was quite common that after a wrong answer the same question was asked again.
Also now all kana are usually asked at least one time before questions are repeated.
love it, thanks for the app
My one suggestion would be to add a second font (and the option to switch between them, or 'random'), one that shows the written form of each character as opposed to the printed form.
I'm glad you like it and thank you for your suggestion. I have added the option for selecting MS-Mincho-Font. I won't provide a cab to install this one, but everyone with a Windows-Desktop-PC has the file "msmincho.ttc" in "C:\Windows\Fonts" and can copy it to "windows\fonts" on their device. But this file is rather huge (almost 10MB).
Maybe I'll try to rewrite the program using image-files for the kana. This would increase the size of the program but then the huge font-files won't have to be installed. I might add the stroke animations for the kana in a future update too.
Excellent!
Having the stroke animations would be excellent if you could implement that
hey, thanks a bunch for this amazing apps.

Are there any Win 8 themes for the galaxy tab 10.1?
There's one on Youtube, just search for "WP7Android Tab Layout"
but can't find it anywhere. Need an .apk file...

I'm pretty sure it's not a theme, the homescreen has been made up with widgets and custom icons made with desktop Visualizer that I am sure I have seen here at xda. Look at the status bar, looks like stock honeycomb to me. As for the lock screen sliding up, I am not sure about that. I will try find where I saw it.

Took all of five mins to find this, windows 7 but so what, it looks the same. Try searching a bit harder next time before starting a thread.

That would be cool I guess.
In my opinion the windows phones look ****. Just big squares. I loved the old windows mobile phones which ran a sinilar version to windows 98, I had a htc touch and it was great. The homescreens in that video look crap, they make your hs look like the market with all the big tiles.
Hey,
I was wondering if there is an app that can hide other apps and then you can only be able to open the hidden apps within the app that hides the apps.
Ok i hope you're still with me and i appreciate any response
Thanx
For example like Hide it Pro (Audio Manager) hides pictures and the hidden pictures can only be accessed from within Hide it Pro <-- exactle what i mean but with apps instead
Hope that made it abit more clear
Now that's impossible or maybe the best you could do is with launcher it wouldn't appear in app drawer but you could open it from another launcher or from installed apps

I thought hide it pro does exactly what your asking? Check again! LOL. If it isn't hide it pro, there is something. Also hides as a volume manager. Hides apps, pics, text, and phone calls.

I just checked. You answered your own thread. Hide it pro does in fact hide apps and more.

Hi,
I have a problem with the phone app icon. I don't know really what i did, but the phone icon is now on the superior part of the screen. I can move it to anywhere i want but not to its initial place. Can You please help me ? Thanks.
You probably have too many icons in the bottom of the screen. Move one out and then try.
I only have three icons now. Normally, they are four.
Another question please : how can i add a picture to m'y thread ? Thanks.
Drop the phone icon onto the desktop, then from the desktop drag it down to the lower bar.
---------- Post added at 10:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 PM ----------
Are you sure it's the phone icon, or a widget you created with something like Notifier. You cannot move widgets to the lower bar.
yes, i'm using the original app. I added no alternative phone call app nor widget.
When you are talking about the desktop, i presume you are talking about the upper part of the screen.
Ok, actually the icon is there. on the top. when i tries to move it, i gets the search screen.
at another hand, when i opens the customization screen, i can deplace the icon. but i cannot see the lower bar. instead of it i have 4 icons : wallpaper, widgets, transitions and "more...".
You simply put your finger on it and hold it for a second, then it will move with your finger. Place it where you want
haha ! it simply works
Thank you
