Is there away to get my text message or email app file attachment to be attached to dropbox as an option.
I had this function with my EVO 4g and EVO 3D when you click on the attachment, picking dropbox is an option. I have all my pics and files stored on my dropbox and now I find I have to kept them on my SD card if I need to attach something.

Hi folks,
For some reason I can only attach pictures to Gmail emails. This is really annoying as I'd like to attach a pdf which I downloaded using the browser but it doesn't seem to give me that option?! There is a "downloads" section when I browse for an attachment, but it only shows images I've downloaded.
Does anyone know how to fix this..?
Thanks,
James
Just tried in Astro - scroll to the actual PDF on your SDCard and press and hold - bottom option is send, choose this and it gives you Via Gmail or Via HTC mail options.
Not actually sent anything but that looks like it should work...

I can see why you think you have a problem if you create a email & try to send it the only files you can see are picture files but if you follow Daisy's advice & use a file manager to select the pdf (or any other file type for that matter) it will work for you.
Good afternoon, I also have a problem with attachments and GMail. But actually the opposite of the above. I would like to save some mail attachments to my phone, but somehow this feature is missing. And ideas?
i have another problem with the gmail app. when i get a mail with , lets say, a picture attached, i am not able to download and store that picture, just to watch it (even if i click on "download").. is there any other possibility within the gmail app to do so?
So I've tried uploading several 3D pictures directly from my phone to Picasa and Flickr without any luck. Flickr tells me it has to convert the 3D pictures to 2D and when I upload to Picasa it always fails and says service error (though it does give me the option to upload it in 3D).
So how do you guys share your 3D pictures online? Can it be done directly from the 3vo?
Thanks in advance
I wonder the same thing without having to convert.

Wondering the same thing, so I upload to Picasa, and I see the file being uploaded /via My Uploads (pretty large file, can watch the progress.) so the 1.7mb'ish gets 100% then "failed, service error."
What gives? Tried using a different album, different pictures, on wifi, off-of wifi, nothing, same issue.
Anyone sharing 3d photos, if so How?
Dropbox works, as far as I know you can't do it on picasa or flickr.

You are putting them in a public folder and sharing that url?
I also found that you can use gmail to share the images, The receiver can download it and view (similar to dropbox I guess) using gmail.com (the gmail app just provides a preview, not the entire file.)
Any other ways?
3d Video is so easy to share, upload to youtube and done. Why not pics? lol

Yep, public folder and share the url.....i haven't really tried to many other options since I mainly use dropbox.
I'm using the stock Email app and can't figure out a way to directly save email attachments to Dropbox.
Right now, to do this, I have to find the file in my Download folder and then save it to Dropbox.
Long press on the file icon doesn't do anything and doesn't seem to be any setting in email that allows this.
Thanks for any help
Unfortunately, I have the same issue, will spend some time today and see if there is a workaround for this... I'll let ya know...
Ok, so I did some checking and setup and downloaded Box.com's mobile app. Basically same principle as Dropbox but under Box's setting on phone there is a checkbox for "enable upload to box everywhere". Once I checked this box, i was able to open an attachment on 4 different e-mail accounts with stock e-mail app and upload straight to Box. If you're not stuck on Dropbox, give this a try. Mobile App = "Box", setup account at Box.net. Hope it helps...
EDIT: Downside is, Box.net doesn't offer a free sync app for windows/mac... You would have to be a paid user... So, guess I will be waiting for Dropbox to include the feature....
Here is another trivial one. The sense gallery shows my download folder, which has pictures/garbage from all my exchange email I get in the sense email app. Is there a way to keep gallery from picking up this crap, or change where the sense mail app stores/cache's its images? The .no media file trick doesnt seem to work.
I emailed myself a couple of pictures and I can't find a way to save then to my One. Any advice?
press to download the attachment of email , then save it to local disk
