What is better? Stock ICS (rooted of course), or sticking with another ROM?
I assume to get the stock ICS I would have to relock boot loader and go back to gingerbread?

A lot of this depends on personal preference, which changes with the desire to get your flashing fix. For me, I'm liking the sense 4 ICS by Newt.
I see that you are s-off and running sebastian's kernel? If so, just flash Scotts CleanRom 4.5 that is about a stock as you can get. Also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703732 this appears to be pure stock, rooted ICS.
Yeah, I'm just getting bored because all of the ICS roms are very basic and boring.
try out a sense 4 rom..nils just "released" his in the sense 4 QA thread, stating bluetooth doesn't work.
or if you wanna stay stock, def do conrom. it rocks.
I'm gonna go for one of nils official rooms, with working Bluetooth.
I can't live without Bluetooth.
Can someone give me some background information on the rezound ICS situation. I thought ICS 4.0 was not yet released for the rezound. Where did we get the port from? Its amazing that the port is 100% stable with all aspects working.
I'm loving the rezound community thus far
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
ICS with Sense 4.0 is ported from the Incredible 4G. It doesn't appear HTC/Verizon plans to release ICS/Sense 4.0 for the Rezound, all of the leaks are based on Sense 3.6.
The Sense 4.0 ports are very stable, there's some very minor issues here and there but they can be used as a daily driver. I'd recommend One XXX or Nils's rom, both make solid offerings.
Did you mean to say that ICS is not releasing for rezound. When I picked up rezound a couple days ago he mentioned 4.0 was to be released this month. Although after a quick Google search there was talk about it being released late may early June.

What he means is, ICS will eventually be released officially for the Rezound, but it will be Sense 3.6, not Sense 4.0.
Thanks for the clarification. Have a couple more questions... What's the latest radio for rezound this is same as Noticed that *228 doesn't do anything anymore.

Latest radio version...1.22.10.0421r, 1.22.10.0424r. You can get these from either of the last 2 leaks.
Im on 0.95.00.1118r, 0.95.00.1223r
What's the feedback like with this upgrade? Is it worth it?
One last question regarding s off. Currently the only way to obtain s off is thru the wire trick - and with s off you will benifit with the ability to flash your own kernel.. please correct me if I'm wrong

I can't either. Nil's ICS 3.6 Sense works flawlessly. There is a mod that let's you make / theme it more blue or more red, if you want a different look.

Also depends on if you want Sense 2.1/3/or a Hybrid.

Warm TwoPointThree does.
Basically any ROM based on the old OTA will have a working camera. All Sense 3.0 based ROMs will have working 4G. So get a 3.0 based ROM based on old OTA and it all works.
Warm TwoPointThree (3.0) revision 547 has everything you want.
Also Eternity r74
He said non sense roms.
Cyanogenmod7 (Android 2.3) Has functional but no 4G. Search for cyanogenmod in the dev section.
If you check the second post of the Android Revolution thread, he has a sense less rom.

No.
Those "Senseless" ROMs are still Sense based ROMs, they just have most of the HTC Sense UI and features removed. It is still a larger ROM size and less efficient on memory than a real AOSP ROM. But you lose 4G on any AOSP for this phone.

Yes.
Work in progress doesn't mean he'll actually get it working though. It means that he's trying. Its not "in progress" its him attempting to fix it. "In progress" implies the fix is known and just needs to be implemented.

I've tried quite a few and recently just came back to sense so i could tether 4G while I'm at school. WiFi in the classroom I'm in is terrible. It's just so depressing knowing I'm stuck with this if I want a fully functional phone
I'm hoping cm9 pulls through and gets stuff right. If I'm correct though it would take a super dev to get 4G working on the shooter right?

It's basically a driver issue. The drivers for these are closed-source, so a ROM built from AOSP doesn't include them. IIRC, they are trying to reverse-engineer the code ATM.

NOTE: Before you flash my ROM you must be on the ICS firmware and be S-OFF. If you are flashing from GB you'll need to also find the GB to ICS patch and flash that right after the ROM
Now to my Rom's install steps
1. Download the rom and place it on your sd card
2. Verify the MD5 sum I have provided with the download link (do this after the rom is on your sd card)

By popular demand I have made a red theme for the latest Global RUU.
What is themed?
-Status bar icons
-Notification window
That is it for right now, but more is coming! I will theme major apps such as Settings, Camera, and the keyboard.
So... that is all I have to say for right now. It took about 3 hours but it was worth it.

WolfRed Theme 10/20/2012
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to see what this turns into.
Testing the zip, might take a while,
perhaps a vr theme will come out better

Damn dude this is a pretty theme, thanks for posting it for us.

This is looking damn fine, Wolf. May I ask which ROM you are using as a base? I know that a VRTheme is supposed to be universal but I was just curious if it will work for all global ROMs.
This is a lack of knowledge on my part rather than questioning your methodology so please don't take offense. I know that themes for the ICS OTA don't transfer over to the global but I wasn't sure if its the same global to global.
I thought it was too basic and people wouldn't really care, but I will definitely add to it.
I used the SystemUI.apk from the latest RUU, so it works on stock but I don't know what else.
You can try but make a nandroid first in case it doesn't work.
