Hmm it might be a defect with the build of the screen since it is stock out of the box if you just bought it I suggest you exchange it. If you can't return it try flashing a ROM.

After I reflashed my Samsung Galax S2 I now have a line running down the middle of the screen. This only appeared after I flashed it. I tried reflashing it a few times but the line doesn't go away. Need help.
Incredibile... Are you sure isn't hardware related question????

Already told you it's very likely a hardware problem and you should return the phone to be replaced. Just tell them the line appeared randomly and not won't go away.

that looks exactly like a complete column of dead pixels. are you sure this only happened after flashing firmware? how about going back to the original firmware that didnt have the issue and see if it disappears?
i'd exchange the unit.

I'd like to advice don't flash that. in most cases you'll brick your device.

You'd need a dev to figure that out, probably a kernel issue. Try getting one of the devs for your device to make a port of it.

ok so how do i do this? dev does that involve programming
the acho.com website has ICS for C905 now.
@technobucks yea i know but they have serial numbers for it and mine is not in the range given so the touch wouldnt work thats why im trying different methods
wow...you're so lucky that only the touch screen inverted. in most case your device won't boot up if the hardware configuration is too different.

I'll agree with technobucks's advice. even if they have different serial numbers, if the model and the hardware is same you won't get any significant trouble. the succes possibility is a lot higher than trying to port a rom from another device.
yea i tired the one that was made for the device serial to my device and the touch screen doesnt work at all not even inverted so is there anyway to fix
Ps i just flashed back to 2.3

How do you the like the Acho C905? I saw it in a shop and was wondering how the general performance is like. I don't know anyone who has it and so would really appreciate your opinion on the device
I thought you could, VZW support says no.
If no one knows for sure, would someone mind trying it? Thanks in advance.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but why don't you just try it yourself?
Anyway, I get my phone in the mail tomorrow so I will try it then. However, My Galaxy nexus and Galaxy S2 both required the battery installed to boot so I'd imagine that the S3 will be the same.
Hi guys.
I know, I'm a noob. I already tried to find something about my problem but I couldn't find nothing.
I would know if it is a hardware or software problem because if it is a hardware problem and I can't solve I send my phone to the warranty, but maybe I can solve this problem with the help of someone.
The problem is the camera focus: it doesn't work.
I have attached some photos that I have took some minutes ago.
Android's version is 4.0.3 but I think that isn't a firmware problem because I had before cyanogen nightly builds and I had the same problem. The phone didn't fall to the ground.
Sorry for my bad english and thanks of all.

I have flashed the kernel Siyah just now but nothing, the problem there is still present.
I don't understand if the focus is hardware or software.
Is there something that I can do? Am I alone with this problem? Is very strange.
EDIT: when I had cyanogenmod 9+syiah on my phone I already had this problem, I forgot when it appened first time.
Autofocus -> hardware.
Its the kernel
hi, same here.
solved the issue using sylah 3.3.3 old kernel.
I suppose it's related to the newest kernels + 4.04.
using the old one seem to solve the issue .
now I reverted back to 4.03 until someone solve this. dream kernel states they did but doesn't seem to work.

I found a guy with the same problem. He said me that probably is the "mini-engine" of the focus that doesn't work.
Now my question is: how long could samsung assistance be to fix it? One month?
Because I am seriously thinking to buy the back camera and fix it myself.
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100 con Tapatalk 2
Im not sure if you can find one as they are scarce.A guy on here said he seen them for $120.I only saw one supplier selling for around $60,but they had no stock.
If you send your phone to Samsung it would have to be running stock firmware and they could have it for 1-10 weeks.
I have a spare camera here.I want to keep it,but if you are desperate I could sell it to you......

Really do you have one?
I ma interested but depends by the cost. I found one, new, for about 40€.
If you can get a new one for that price then buy it.You could email Samsung and ask what theyd charge to do the job so you get an accurate price.

Hi Xda'ians,
I have a problem with my Galaxy tab GT-7510 and would like your help/opinion/advice ...
Today, my galaxy tab screen started showing weird colors. I mean that all the black colored letters, black backgrounds had a reddish color. I have attached the snapshots of the screen image that indicate the problem. As you can see it's really difficult to use the tablet due to this problem.
I had a chat with the samsung support and they willing to check my tablet but alas, my warranty had expired and they informed me that I would have to pay 200$ for them to evaluate, replace parts and ship the tablet to me.
So questions to all --
1) Do you think it is worth paying $200 and getting my tablet repaired or is it better to get a new tablet ???
2) Has anyone experienced such a problem before and how did you get it resolved ??
3) Is there any way I can fix this problem myself with the minimal expenditure ??
Any suggestions by the community would be really very helpful !!!
PS: I have checked out videos of how to replace the screen but not sure which part needs to be replaced (i.e., digitizer/screen or LCD or some other component)
Thank you all for your help in advance !!!

Update :
I tried flashing a stock 3.1 image on the tablet but the red color still appears. I have attached another image of the problem.
Have you tried a different ROM? Is it possible its software related?

I had the same problem and some people I know as well. I tried everything to fix, from using the hair drier to leaving in in the refrigerator for 30 mins. Nothing works.
Please note that noone complains about ipads, and they are very good with warranties. If I ever get another tablet, it will be ipad.
