Modem for TMobile SHG-T999? - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Can someone post the modem for the TMobile version of the the S3? Loaded the wrong rom and it borked the radio. Everything else is working. Used the stock image in Odin and that did not correct the issue. Thanks!

Humm, did the stock image include the modem? The one listed here should be complete http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-T999
Hope that helps,

Thanks. I used that image with Odin to do a reset. For some reason I can not obtain a data connection. The phone seems to register with TMobile as a network but I can not seem to connect to the network for mobile data. Check that the boxes are ticked, checked the mobile network settings as GSM auto PRL. Not sure what else to do to connect back on the network.

Checked and created a new APN just in case. Same result. No data connection.
For mobile network it says connecting or disconnected. Checked on my Galaxy Nexus and all is fine. Thought there might be a data outage. Stumped as to why no data connection.

I woke up today and had a triangle with an exclamation mark inside lingering in my notification bar. I cannot connect to the network (I am with Fido in Canada). Everytime I try to connect it says "Unable to connect. Try later". I have not changed my APN or Network Modes, and I cannot select any other Network operators. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance

Please check your IMEI number. if it is correct. It MUST NOT START from 00.............
may be a network problem or a fault with SIM card

My IMEI number is correct, is there anything else?
I think it is a network problem/faulty sim card..
If you have not contacted your network operator, you may try:
a) wiping caches via recovery
b) flashing another modem..
If all the above fails, contact your service network.. it must be a network problem

Did you cut your SIM card down or was it original micro SIM from carrier?
Cut Sims have been known to fail, otherwise almost certainly a network failure or cell tower failure

By doing that it will enable the data connection, which works only if he can receive signal from the service provider. And he can't even receive any signals from the provider.

From what I gathered, it means the data limit is on and its blocked his connection. That's why his browser would give him the unable to connect earning.

I'd the days limit is on than it will give warning saying "data usage warning".and when you tap on it, it will bring you to the menu where he can fix it. But he didn't got that warning. It was different..

[Q] GS3 Network Problems

Hey Guys,
Have a rooted & unlocked GS3 I9300, running stock firmware.
When I first got it (Christmas) it worked perfectly. But after a few hours, I was unable to make calls (not registered on network error appears), go online or send/receive sms. I can now sporadically send and receive SMS, but it seems to be completely at random as to when I can do it.
When I turn the phone on and put in my pin, an error comes up saying I have entered my pin incorrectly, but my attempts left do not go down. 99% of the time, I have absolutely no service and occasionally, I have one bar.
I have checked and the IMEI code is still there and matching. Have tried numerous sim cards and none of them work.
Could anyone help me? At my wits' end!
Go to stock recovery and wipe data.
If it doesn't work flash a stock rom with Odin.

Tried that but made no difference!
Managed to get a full signal earlier, but it dropped a few minutes after. Could it be a hardware problem?

Go to your network settings under mobile networks, and do a manual selection of your network. Also try both gsm and hspda modes separately.

Tried changing between modes but none of them seem to make a difference!
When I try to scan for networks, it say "Error while scanning for networks".
Should I just give it up for lost at this stage?

[Q] VZN Galaxy Note 2 not working international

I"m currently in Korea. And since it's global version which is unlocked, i put in the Korean sim card. But it's not working.
It does not catch the signal. I know if i want to use the data, i have to put the APN. But it doesn't even let me use the calls or message.
Head into Settings > More settings > Mobile Networks and make sure that Network Mode is set to Global or GSM/UMTS. If its on LTE/CDMA it won't pick up any signal.

I am not on AT&T so how can I post them, a quick phone call or email to AT&T and you'd be set. It is not a matter of what type of phone APN settings are like DNS settings, all phones need them, just some have them built in but some don't.
Ok. Sorry about that. I finally got my 5.8 to work awhile ago.

You need to define the APN. It's strange your att SIM wasn't automatically recognized and the apn settings loaded. I have a 7 year old att SIM and when I put it in my Mega it automatically loaded the wap.cingular APN settings and I had to take no action on my part to enable 3G data.
I am on media net so your data plan maybe different than mine and that could be the difference on why the mega didn't auto define your APN settings.
Here's what I'm pulling down on media net HSPA.

Unable to connect to Internet via mobile network

My Amaze is unbranded and rooted, I'm currently using T-MOBILE ICS stock RUU on it.
Whenever I try to connect to the internet it says 'Connection Failed' even though I have turned on the Mobile network. Anybody know a solution to this issue?

You need to edit your apns. Go to voice dialer, say open apns, then enter the correct one for your carrier. I would look up your carrier name and it's apn settings on Google. Once you enter and set them, you should be good.
