Obviously, that's what I said, leaks.
Here is another leak showing cpu benchmark, as s4 1.5 dual core processor.

Another locked bootloader and 8 month wait for Jelly Bean?
No thanks.

So true. :-( Could probably be the best phone by a long shot with moto build quality and radios...HD screen....vzw 4g....battery life....processor....but then that damned locked bootloader. So sad. I am done with Motorola for the time being.

I have been reading that it looks like a late summer release August just in time for back to school

so with a locked bootloader we will not be able to get root and install custom roms period, or its just harder to do?
also since Moto is now under Google, wouldnt that effect things? as in maybe they will release it with an unlocked bootloader? what was the first phone they release couple of days ago i think its the atrix something? does it have locked bootloader?

Rooted/OC'd Rezound Vs. Galaxy Nexus

I jut went to the Verizon store to show my girlfriend the Galaxy Nexus since she hates her iPhone 4G and I decided to run Antutu Benchmark on both of them. The results highly surprised me, even though my Rezound has a 600 MHz advantage

Funny, my girlfriend has the same case, lol.
Never used that benchmark app- but is it skewed by the fact that the nexus is running ics or is it purely hardware? Either way- I'm not too worried bout it- This phone flies now and will even more when we get aosp ics.
It looks like you're running ziggys kernel, can i ask what governor?
Yes the app is accurate.. I've gotten close to 6,800 w/ ziggy's kernel with performance governor. But don't freak out just cause the gnex has a lower score.. Benches are for fun! My friends Gnex at stock speeds on the HD rom runs just as smooth.

haha she rants and raves about how she wants Siri and the only reason she got an iPhone was so she could go on Facebook (she's 20). I show her all the crap I can do with my Rezound and she's like wtf why can't my phone do that? I showed her the two Siri clones (Iris and Cluzee) and explained that they were free and basically any Android phone could get that and we've had text to speech and speech to text for years. What really started it was at the end of last month we were in NYC; we were stuffed way back in TGI Friday's and she was complaining that she couldn't get on Facebook, I mentioned the Samsung commercial where they make fun of the iPhone and then was like wait I can show you. I streamed the commercial at 720P and it loaded instantly, she loved that!
*bump*
updated first post
Read a few reviews running that benchmark saying its inaccurate because its not fully optimized for ICS as well
That's what I was thinking and I looked at their app in the market and it doesn't mention anything about ICS, but then again two phones running the same (major) version of ICS should give reasonable results.

*looks at the back of my rezound* yes this definately looks like a 1.5 GHz LTE global phone with a 720 p screen
Seems to me the bullshitted the specs and used this for attention. Wouldn't believe much, it does have the incredible like battery cover so its possible for that to be the incredible HD
from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
Not sure how the specs are better than the Rezound, when the leaks say it has a dual core 1.2ghz cpu, which could be slightly lower end vs the dual 1.5ghz the Rezound offers. Plus, it there is no word of a 720p display or what size the display is. As others have said it has ICS, yet 4.0 buttons, and it looks be running a Sense version that maybe a mix of 3.5/3.6 and 4.0 vs the other device leaks, which look a bit different to my eye.

Incredible 3 has sense 4.0. I doubt were going to have an offical sense 3.6. Jumping to 4.0 is what HTC might do. This phone is probably the one that were going to dump sense 4.0 off of first for our Rezound. Why couldn't they make the Rezound that thin.

just curious to see what the resolution is on the supposed "inc 3"
if its not hd, and its qhd, then porting sense 4 from it is kinda pointless

Man, I want a giant 5.8in screen... I guess we will have to wait for August 29th when they might announce it.
If it is 4.8in, it will be exactly like a Galaxy SIII with different internal specs (and screen resolution)! Anyways, I'm looking forward to it either way.

its not same resolution ..its 960*540 and 5.0 has 800*480 which makes that they have totaly the same dpi.
Sent from my YP-G70 using xda app-developers app
I believe the dpi for GP5 is 186ppi and GP5.8 is 189ppi
I'm surprised a 5.8" PMP is anticipated by so many. The 5.0 model was already borderlining on being too large in my opinion, and a supposed 4.8" would have still been a tough decision. It's disappointing that there isn't a smaller model to accompany it as with the 4.0 and 3.6, so I guess I'll be jumping for the 4.2.
I'm just going to be bragging to my friends that I have the biggest handheld device haha
Many issues with this new 5.8"
1. Resolution is abysmal for a 5.8", needs to be at least 720P
2. Price. This thing will be way more than 199.99 and will probably only get 1 update and then become EOL
3. CPU. Is it the Snapdragon S4, Dual Exynos, or Snapdragon S3?
4. The size will most likely push many away
1. Dude, the ppi is better than the 5.0 so it isn't "abysmal"
2. I agree
3. Who cares about the CPU if it has 1GB RAM (and it better have 1GB RAM)? I'm sure it will be at least a dual core, that's enough for my tasks at least
4. Get the smaller models
What matters more than the CPU or ram is the gpu. If it has the same powerVR chip in the previous gen players, forget it. And I am thinking Samsung really should have stuck with the 5" sweet spot they found with the note; this is really and truly just to much. One inch larger than the biggest handhelds, one inch smaller than the smallest tablets = What the heck is this supposed to be?

[Q] what do you guys think about Iphone 5?? Better than S3??

We all know that yesterday Iphone 5 was launched.
Specs for Iphone 5 are:
1.1168*640 resolution with 326 ppi
2.8MP camera with 1080p recording and 1.2 MP front camera with 720p recording
3.A6 2x faster than A5 as they say!!
not yet anything about the cpu
What do you think
1.will it be quad core or dual core??
2.and will be better than our S3
I think this should be closed.
it's Quad (I think)
and before the thread gets closed I want to say this
I have it on good authority that Samsung knew the complete spec of this iphone way before the s3 was released, they built the s3 knowing that it will be technically better than the s3.
Yesterdays announcement confirmed to me that some people knew the FULL spec as early as May (me included )
Blah....©......Blah.....®......Blah......™
Obviously not

BORING!!
I think the OP should change this to "Better than S2???" And then compare. You really cannot compare to the S3 since Apple will introduce some of the S3's features in the next (or the one behind that) iPhone and call it amazing and innovating.
Depends. Nobody seems to know if it has A9 or A15, both has been reported. If the iPhone has an A9 chip, it doesn't stand a chance against our S3. If it has an A15 chip, it's the other way around.
Since Apple states that the new SoC is twice as fast as the A5x, it may well be A9 chips in the new iPhone, but who knows...
Anyway, even if the new iPhone is faster, the S3 will still be far superior. Try sideloading on an iPhone, try installing an ad blocker, try downloading YouTube videos to an iPhone. Doesn't work, right? So who cares if the CPU is really fast, you can't put it to good use anyway.

And if no one does, A6 twice as fast as A5 means A6 is dual core A15 or Quad core A9. Either way, I'm really happy about the SIII, it will squash the sh...t out of the little rotten apple.
the only thing that I can take away that might be better in my opinion is the camera. and I would need to actually use it to be sure. other than that, I wasn't impressed at all. instead of an iphone 5 they should have called it an iphone 4s+.

Buying the Droid Razr Maxx worth it?

Hi,
I'm an LG optimus 2x user. The phone's hackability is insane and off the charts. What I would like to know from the community is whether it's worth going for this phone or not. Here are my questions.
1) Can this phone be rooted?
2) If rooted, can the bootloader be unlocked?
3) Custom kernels and roms?
4) Really, how much is the battery life *mine is on 3g enabled, auto sync all day*?
5) Price vs. feature comparison?
6) Do updates come on a regular basis?
Thanks.
I can answer some few questions.
1. Yes
2. No
3. check development section
6. No, not from Motorola
If you're looking for a strong development community, RAZR MAXX isn't for you. It will come eventually but right now there isn't a wide variety of custom options. There are a few roms and the devs are working on getting around the locked bootloader. I mean they have but no stable rom yet, kernels are working though. It's just a young development community at the moment, if you're impatient I wouldn't. The phone itself kicks ass though, battery life is awesome, camera is good, once you root & get on a custom ics rom you have a faster slightly customized version of stock. Just my opinions, I came from the OG EVO which similarly has a really strong development community. I was a little disappointed at first but I love my phone and I see tremendous potential from the developers.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I have the same question.
I am looking to buy a Razr Maxx or a Galaxy S2 for my mothers birthday. I am not buying them from a shop and thus I would like to ask if you think Razr Maxx is comparable to he Galaxy S2 in terms of ease of use and features.
I will not be buying them new, but so far I have not had any problem with them.
My question is also if you think Motorola will release ICS or even JB to this device or if we are left with the current Gingerbread (I guess, not sure) on it?
Thank you all for your help.
Moto release ICS.
I dont know if they Release JB but I dont think so

i came from the galaxy s2 and am using the maxx at the present moment. in terms of features and use, if just using stock roms, samsung would win out in terms of design and just looking prettier, in terns if performance and overall usage they're roughly the same. the maxx however, trounces the s2 in terms of battery life. and i do mean TROUNCES. you get close to 2 times the battery life as compared to the paltry 1650mah battery that comes with the s2.
Battery life is excellent with the MAXX.
Here is a screen shot I took last night. I had received and made phone calls, played a game for about 30 minutes, and received and sent text messages. Also had read some news online for about 20 minutes and checked email.
I'm using the hotplugx governor, sio scheduler and Juice Defender Ultimate.
