So here is Google Now ...
ONLY FOR AOSP ROMS
Check This ...

Not much point in this for us right now since there aren't any AOSP roms for any of the 2012 Xperia's out yet.
Tbh I have it XPS, not really for AOSP only... looks fun, but still unfunctional on ICS

Can someone make a touchwiz based rom with ics stuff, like the gs2 on the europe version.

What are you talking about?
Samsung has released no source code other than I9100 kernel sources, which are basically useless on Hummingbird-based devices.
Nexus S source code is more applicable and has been out for ages - but getting that to support the G70 is a lot of work, more work than it's worth to be honest. I haven't been particularly impressed with ICS so far. It's not awful - but it's not the major improvement over Gingerbread that GB was over Froyo.

Well, technical know-hows aside, I would like to comment on the ICS Vs GB thing. I loved using GB but since moving over to ICS on my Cappy and HP Touchpads, there is no comparison on the polish the ICS brings to these devices. Granted ICS did not bring anything earth shattering to the Android OS game, but the latest Google has to offer seems just right for my devices. GB just felt still being worked on but... ICS has more thoughtful features... simple things as the way gallery presents the photos, just seem right. Of course, some, if not most, would be differences in personal taste, but for me, I am happy with ICS and can't wait for all my devices to be upgraded to them.
Now, having said that... I certainly appreciate all the hard work by all the devs. I have no doubt, for a moment, that it's an aweful amount of work... For that... I Thank you.
@Entropy - That is kind of my gut feeling without having spent much time with ICS.
Is it fair to say the ICS is much more about glitter than new functional features or power?

Yeah I think ICS was meant to be more user friendly. Less technically overbearing to the standard end user.

Awh dammit nevermind, i misread, it wasnt the full source it was just the ics kernel source
WHY doesnt xperia S get some roms and kernelS?
Other devices like , Arc and Arc S , have ton of roms , but xperia S doesnt
Even xperia mini has alot of roms , why is xperia S so limited??
its because the S is to new and the devs are limited at time... it will change in the near future
Who cares about the amount? It´s all about the quality in my opinion. Having FXP working hard on both cm9 aswell as cm10, we sure have that. MIUI is allso a high quality rom, that is extreamly smooth and still have most of the usefull stock apps, best of all it works those that don´t want to unlock their bootloader.
If you could have 10 OK kernels or 1 great kernel, which would you go for?
I'd prefer the one.
And by the way, you don't count development support with the amount of ROMs and kernels, you count it by the quality of ROMs and kernels

What ROMs do you want? No one whining about quantity managed to answer this question before.
Thankful for what is there.

...and it took almost a year before the lot of ROM's showed up for the ARC and at that time I bought the S.
Quality of FXP is high
They released cm10 very fast and got most of the things working.

I found cm9 to have problems with the brightness , its low even when its on the highest level ,and cm10 doesnt have a camera app , i really need camera , i know miui is cool , but i want more stuff ... :fingers-crossed:
the stuff will come... CM9 is Stable, for GB the KA Rom is great, ICS and JB is just beginning with developing, they are a couple of great kernels... for that SXS has not much users like HTC oder Samsung devices, and just a couple of active Developers... its great what the do - and as i said, the device is relative new, and in the future there will give a lot of cool stuff - i mean, the SXS is official CM and MIUI supportet - that means a Long Tearm Support

I'll have AOKP ICS for you in a week. Paranoid porting is on the way. JB fully working depends on Sony.
There is much development for the XS.. there are 3 good kernels 2 fully working stockbased roms, CM9,CM10 ... Aokp is coming what do you want? Do you want the best rom ever seen in just one day? that wouldnt ever happen because developers are not better than other people and the most have a job or anything else
Hello everyone, I know that maybe it be a stupid question but coming from an Xperia arc with a lot of Custom Rom available on the web I found a little stunned to see that the Xperia S have little number , maybe 4 or 5 in which I had some problems.
Do you know if this is due to development difficulties or other problems?
since our phone has been included in 'AOSP (even if little time), I expected more interest from developers ...

At this time we have : CM9, CM10, AOKP, MIUI and some Roms based on Stock after 6 months being sold and almost of them are really great that could be used daily. Now let's comparing to Arc's Custom Rom after ~10 months ( in February, 2012) CM7, MIUI and a few Roms based on stock.
These devs here in particular volunteer to do this work so you should satisfy with what we have at the moment:good:

Yeah i know... In my arc i have Paranoid android with cam working... only panorama missing and it's very fast... i'm waitin' FXP..
So, I am looking for stock ICS alternatives on my Ray and I am interested in CM 10. I dont want this to be a comparing theme, I would simply like to hear from anyone with experience on how are things on the current FXP 200+ builds (I pressume those are CM builds).
I am mostly interested in camera quality, recording and smoothness
I checked the development topic but people are pretty specific there.
If anyone could give me a small overview about CM10 on Ray, Id be super grateful
Cheers!
Sir, the OP of these ROMs are best to review/read...some homework will be required from your end. And any overview given from others, might help but really you will have install, run and test for yourself.
If you are looking for camera quality and recording...
You better switch to CM9 or CM7.
In CM10 camera is still under development coz of unavailable camera libs from sony.
Thanks to both!
Heard that CM10 camera isnt half operational before but users who dont experience problems usually dont post everything works great... So its good to get all kinds of feedback. If anyone wants to chip in, Id still appreciate
