Android 4.1 Jelly Bean released to Android Open Source Project - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Being Released To AOSP Right Now
Jelly Bean was announced at Google I/O just recently, but a posting from Google's Android open source guru, Jean-Baptiste Queru has confirmed that Android 4.1 is hitting the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository right now. Time for the developers among you to update your clients to get all the official bits.

This release will be tagged as android-4.1.1_r1 in AOSP. While the source is going live now, the full proprietary binaries for Google-blessed devices won't be rolled out until later. Google plans to directly support the Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Xoom through AOSP. Be aware that the addition of the Jelly Bean code to AOSP doesn't mean any OTA updates are on the way. This just means anyone can download the full source to begin work.
The full source code can be downloaded as soon as it's done uploading and replicating (estimated to be about 6PM PDT) at this link, and the manifest is here. The Nexus system images from I/O have been floating around for modding recently, but this will accelerate things greatly. AOSP-based ROMs like Cyanogen and AOKP will be able to start working with the Jelly Bean code. The folks on the CyanogenMod team are already downloading the code, and will begin early work on ROMs shortly. Get ready for the custom ROMs to flow.

There is no way to start any work on ICS, as the source code isn't released yet. I think there aren't any phones using it in the market yet.
Ics will not work on older devices like our mini pros and mini, FXP says this on his topic.

No way! People tends to mistake SDK with AOSP Code source... is not the same...
SDK are compiled libraries that allow you to create applications for Android ... AOSP Source code is the source code of Android itself.
For now, the only thing released is the SDK, which includes a COMPILED ROM of Android 4.0 for the emulator included... but that won't let developers work on any version because they need Android source code (AOSP) to integrate X10 Mini drivers and compile it in a ROM.
SO, NO, FOR NOW THERE WON'T BE ICS FOR X10 TILL GOOGLE RELEASES AOSP ANDROID SOURCE CODE ...
Cheers!
PS: Check it here, official AOSP page, no mention on ICS .. only Android 2.3 source code is published.
http://source.android.com/index.html
So u mean its impossible to port for our minis ..

The best you can get at the moment is to install a CM7.1 (gingerbread) based rom (e.g. GingerDX) and theme/skin it
I've started an ICS-ification thread here, which I'll try and keep updated if anyone manages to get any other ICS apps running under GB. As far as the look goes it gives a nice refresh:

Can any one post for us the official beta jelly bean 4.1.1 I9300XXDLI4 here with instructions in how to flash it.
Please note I need the official beta release NOT THE LEAKED one. The LEAKED roms have missing features while the official roms has compleated features although they are in beta.
Thanks.
Beta? What are you talking about? LI4 is a leaked rom.

Your information is 100% wrong .Suggest you read up .
This post should be in the JB discussion thread as well .
jje
an official beta? Contrarywise my dear.
Official, and beta?'
There's nothing of either to get, I'm afraid. It's an unofficial leak. Because Samsung hasn't officially announced it's out, and because someone leaked the test build.

This whole post is a derp.
1. We aren't your personal servants.
2. There are instructions everywhere, use search and read.
3.all of the betas are official and leaked all at the same time, or all of the leaks are official betas, or all of the official betas are leaks. Whichever way you like.
4. They aren't missing any features, I don't know which imaginary official leaked beta thread you were reading.

There is a thread about CM10 that is 4 posts down from the one you just created. Please use the search function or at least look through a page or two of the forum before polluting with more threads. The answer is that it's being worked on and has no ETA.
Also if you ACTUALLY opened your eyes, 4.2.1 AOKP is built as is the CM build we are just making them stable (myself CM and Maxwen AOKP)
Guys, calm down....
I don't asked for etas, I only asked if somebody is working on that and if it is planned to have it for the HOX+.
No need to get unkind...
And my question was more less based on the Official CM Team if they will take HOX+ to their devices as SGS3 or HOX.....
And I wanted to know if somebody have info about that.....
Not even more!!!!

CM10.1 was just "officially" stable DAYS ago. What in gods name makes you think it would already be in development for our phone?
Because Phones like Galaxy s and Galaxy s3 also getting that and how old is the Galaxy S? Who needs that on this old f.... Phone?
CM10.1 would make the HOX+ the perfect phone, so why not asking if somebody already started working on that?
Thread closed
OP, please...
In this case not even search function would have been necessary to get the information. It's all on first page of section. Why spam the forum instead?

Leaked rom from s4. Developers, if can you ported to S3?

As with any exciting new flagship device, it was only a matter of time before Samsung's recently-unveiled Galaxy S4 got the system dump treatment. Sharing the goodies this time (having already leaked S Voice, wallpapers, and ringtones) is SamMobile.com, who claims to have an "insider" that provided the leaked dump. According to SamMobile, the system dump is based on the S4's latest test firmware, affectionately called I9500XXUAMCH, built just a few days ago on March 23rd and based on Android 4.2.2 JDQ39
http://www.androidpolice.com/
Can this be ported to S3??
http://hotfile.com/dl/200018357/ab224c0/SamMobile-I9500XXUAMCH-SystemDump.zip.html - rom from S4
Galaxy S4 is JB 4.2.2, S3 is JB 4.1.2
So can't port rom from S4 to S3 .
But you can use somethings from S4, like : wallpaper, ringtone, some widget, PNG image in UI, icon , Some apps ( need porting by dev) etc..
Digital clock widget + SecwallpaperChoser + Program widget are working on my rom !

Someone is doing it a few posts above..
Expecting someone to do a Frankenstein build of it, with the 4.2.1 release to get 4.2.2 going on the S3
But too lazy and busy here to do it.. Easter need a working phone!

Can we use the libraries from cm10.1 to port this ROM to the S3?
I thought the cm10.1 modules will require the cyanogemod kernel ; )
Also it needs to be converted from XHDPI to HDPI due to the difference in screen resolution.

I want present's you OmniROM xD
This is something like CM.
So developers good luck!
Made by you??
And there are a lot of modified aosp sources. And all are based on it, so until we will get CM stable we can compile also other Roms.
xpirt
No it's not main
I found in web in Polish site article xD
It's a ROM made by several developers, including Elite Developer chainfire. I've seen his stuff + the stuff by other OmniROM team members, and that predicts a really good ROM. I think it's worth it to try building it for the DX, but I can't help as I don't know anything about AOSP :|

Compiling CM or compiling OmniROM it will be the same thing.
Until we get fixed important bugs on CM (for ex.) and we will have a stable CM we can fix also other compiled Roms.
Because all are based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and we will have same bugs on all Roms based on it.
So why compiling another Rom if we don't have a stable CM to see how was fixed bugs (Wifi, Bluetooth)?

it will be easier to build ANYTHING. We just need a perfect device/vendor/kernel tree. Then we can have ANYTHING.
Full AOKP,CM,PA,OMNI,SLIM,PAC and many more.

They don't understand that they are based all on AOSP and fixing a bug for one it will fix also for other Roms.

What are the odds of fixing CM bugs? I'm not forcing or asking for an ETA . But just asking is anyone working on it? WIP?
