hi all,
i got a plan to switch my hd7 to an htc radar. but, i got one question:
does a radar device has a rom chip to store its os or they only have an emmc to store our data and the os itself? can we change the emmc to a bigger one?
thanks in advance.
It is built in and cannot be changed. I assume it is emmc.

I just purchased my Flyer through Buy.com and received it yesterday. I was looking at the Battery Stats under "About Tablet/Batter/Battery use" and it shows the Display and the #1 user but second is Cell Standby. Does this mean that my tab in not the wifi only one? Could it be the one for Sprint or another carrier? The Software Number is 2.27.1540.32
I read some of the threads on rooting my Flyer but couldn't find my SW # on the thread. From what I could gather, I have to go with the "Goldcard" method. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Any help will be appreciated
Thanks
I believe thats in there by default since you are running Gingerbread. Thats based for phone use, not tablets.
It's using a large portion of the battery. Seems stupid to waste the battery for nothing doesn't it

Is there a SIM card slot under the cover close to where you put the microSD card slot in? If there is, then you have a GSM version. There is no CDMA version of the Flyer, so there's nothing for Sprint (Sprint had the View, which is black/grey and has 32gb of memory). It could be the T-Mobile version (although that should be clear by markings on the tablet itself or in the software) or the international version. Check for a SIM card slot.
This thread talks about getting rid of cell standby on the View, some methods without root. If you do indeed have a GSM radio in your Flyer, the non-root methods should work for you as well.
Well, there is no slot next to the SD slot. So I don't think it has the it

I'm dumfounded, I've been rooting and flashing roms on my phone for years, I just don't understand why a tab that's wifi only would have cell stand by. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

It's due to the OS. I've messed with three other tablets on GB and all had that in the battery usage settings.

is there a Vibrant ICS CM9 Rom that supports wifi Calling right now? I've been looking at a cheap replacement for my smashed Venue Pro, any help?

Hey guys,
Does someone know a similar app or way to transfer huge files from android device to device? Fast file transfer does not work on a stock ROM because of HTC making their own WiFi tethering stuff when I read that right.
Any help?
Thanks,
Daranus

Depends on the device, but I think Android Beam could be useful.

Well I am new to HTC, been with Samsung for awhile now. Just got the HTC one for AT&T yesterday and I was wondering; Are HTC roms like Samsung roms where the rom is specific to each carrier like the Galaxy s3. And is there a specific twrp recovery for the AT&T variant?

I purchased, a T-mobile HTC One about 4 months ago, and converted the phone to the Google Edition including bootloader.
Now I found that the top grill (where the speaker is) is showing a gap, and I have about 3 dead pixels (they stay green and red all the time when the screen is on) Does anybody know how picky they are for replacements, and if I should restore to stock, or can I just send it back and they won't care about software mods?
You will definitely have to return the device to stock. I suggest relocking the BL, return to stock. So no red letters appear at the bottom during boot. I don't think the dive too much more then that.

Thanks, I will try the RUU from HTC and see how that goes. Do you happen to know what is the CID for Tmobile?
This is a little off topic sorry but I didn't want to make a new thread just for this. Recently switched to One from nexus 4 and I also converted T-Mobile HTC one to the gpe. Can I flash Roms from the international section on the T-Mobile device? It seems like they have the same hw

Came from nexus 4 as well. I have a HTC on on T-Mobile and I am using the international roms. Most of the ROMS. express support for the US versions of the HTC One. (Viper, insert coin, elegancia)

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure they didn't have different data partitions. My last HTC phone was like that and you couldn't flash international on T-Mobile version
