[Q] Cyanogenmod Media Volume not going 100% - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have an odd issue where my media volume only goes up to about 40%. Although the volume bar increases (by using the volume keys or from the settings menu), the actual volume doesn't go past ~40%.
This was happening on Cyanogenmod 7.1, then I upgraded to 7.2 yesterday, but the issue remains.
Any ideas?

Bump? Anyone encounter an issue like this?

I have the same issue but it only happens when I'm on earphones... and my version of ROM is CM10 Nightly 20120911
Nobody knows how to solve it?

This is a known bug.
1. Download third-party equalizer app to amplify the headset volume.
Or
2. Use Extweaks to boot your volume of are running Siyah or Dorimanx kernel.
Or
3. Voodoo louder (paid): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.louder&hl=en

[Q] In-call volume CM7

Hello,
I flashed JT's CM7 (Test build 7) yesterday, and I absolutely love it.
However, I have a problem involving In-call volume.
If I press the up and down volume buttons to adjust in-call volume, the volume stays the same although the graphic indicator bar moves.
For all the other volume settings (like media volume, alarm volume, etc) seem to be OK.
Am I the only one who's experiencing this problem? =(
Can anybody please help me to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, everyone is having that problem. It is a problem with the libaudio driver. It was a hacked driver from the nexus s that was hacked even more on top of that just to get it to the level of functionality that it has now. When jt has some time, I'm sure he will rewrite libaudio and the volume issue will be improved.

[Q]Volume can't go max

Ain't got problems with touchwizz based rom, only CM and MIUI. No problem on speaker either.

[Q] Music volume gets lowered when a notification happens, fixed if volume is changed

So I'm currently on RR 2.6.1 with siyah 3.4.1 and pretty much everything works perfectly. There is this one problem I have though. If I'm listening to music and get a notification, the notification plays just fine, but after it has finished playing, the music is very quiet. It will also stay this way until I change the volume via the hard buttons, and actually jumps instantly back to what it was before the notification.
I was also unable to find a solution by search, supposedly I just couldn't come up with the correct search terms. So, anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?
+1 i have the exact same rom and kernel and i hate when that happens, also i would love if someone told me how to lower the timeout for the volume notification, like, when you change volume and you are seeing a vid on youtube, the volume pop-up takes a while to dissapear and i dont like that
Yes, I've been looking for the same answer but nothing so far. I've got the same problem that after another apps notification the music volume stays down. I'm running the Slim ICS 4.2 with Siyah 3.0.15. I tried to "unlink" the volumes in the volume option but didn't work.
Help us!
I think it's CM9 issue and since AOKP and Slim Roms are based on it, then you guys will have the same issues.

[Q] Yeadphone volume limited on Resurection Remix JB

I just recently installed Resurection Remix JB for my Galaxy SII but it seems that the volume hangs around 80%. When i press the rocker the volume doesn't change after 1/3rd of the slider. So around 1/3rd it's at 80%.
I've had this issue before with an older CM rom...
I'm running the dorimanx kernel with standard trebuchet launcher. I have looked online and I found just 1 post from a user with a similar problem but his question was never answered. I tried disabling the save headset volume but that also did no good.
The volume is fine when there is no headphone in, so this problem only happens with HEADPHONES.
So any ideas?

[Q] Galaxy S 3 Refusing to use CM10 volume rocker music control

I'm having issues where my i9300 is not navigating through music tracks on CM10 based ROMs.
On stock, pressing and holding the volume key will make the volume go up or down until either limit is met. Now, on CM10 based ROMs, the volume will only increase or decrease by one point but the music tracks do not advance.
I have used stock ELLA ROM with a flashable mod, CM10, PACMan ROM and JellyBam.
JellyBam has the unfortunate effect of crashing PowerAMP if I enable to AOKP lockscreen volume button music control, so I can't use that ROM (nor did I want to, I was just testing it).
I am using PowerAMP with the ICS lockscreen turned on.
This works flawlessly with my HD2 so I know exactly what I should be doing, it just seems this particular handset doesn't want to work.
Does anyone else have this issue or know of a proper guaranteed fix?
Thanks in advance,
Dan
