Uhhh, I paid 20 NZ $ for a blank microsim to trnasfer the connection
Should have tried the above method first as anyhow that sim is now useless.
thanks, had the same question.
All I did was get a micro sim adapter for 75p and put the sticker on and cut it out with scissors.
Don't your service providers give you a free microsim if you ask for one???
at&t gave me one for free
I paid 20€ for a new microSIM after messing up my old regular SIM by cutting it myself..

I have 4 rezounds and I can just switch my active sim card between phones & the phone with the card automatically activates on my line when I boot it up.
I pre-ordered a GSlll to burn up my last upgrade. How does it work to switch between phones when the new phone comes with a different sim??
I'm not sure how that works bit if it swaps between all the rezounds, I think it would work with the gs3? Could be wrong. And what the hell do you have 4 rezounds and a gs3 for? Lol

You'll need to get a microsim from Verizon and then if you want to use it on the rezound get a microsim to regular sim adapter. They are not much. Usually a few dollars.

Thanks, ordered an adaptor.
One other question, I used an upgrade on my wife's line to order the GSlll but I want to activate it in my line. How do I do that??

If it uses a SIM card, you just pop your SIM card in.

I heard you can buy a Micro Simcard cutter and trim/cut the SIM card into a microsim and there's an adapter that lets you turn that micro SIM into a regular simcard. Example;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAq0eXTZc9c&feature=youtube_gdata_player
for about 5 bucks you can get a Micro Sim Card Cutter+4 Adapter
heres where you can get just an adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I53CQ2/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details?tag=011080yt-20

So if your rooted and unlocked can you simply switch a Verizon sim card for a Verizon sim card? Like my wife's unlimited data razr sim in place of mine?

I'd say yes. When I got the note, I just pulled the sim from my rezound and put it in the note (had to cut it down to size first). No need to call Verizon for anything.
Yes I did that stock with no problems before I unlocked

Another yes here. Pull the sim out of my galaxy nexus into the note 2 and had no issue. Even updated my account on Verizon within about 5 minutes

This is cool. One thing I always liked on gsm carriers is the ability to swap phones whenever I wanted and as much as I wanted (work phone/play phone). What would really be cool is if could put my Verizon sim in my unlocked nexus 4.........
What if the Verizon note 2 had a bad esn? Would it still work I see a lot of deals on ebay for around 4 hundred!

Nope, once it has a bad enough it can't connect to the network anymore, those aren't worth 400.
Edit: I'm not sure if you can unlock it and put it on another network, but it won't work on Verizon.
Hey guys,
I picked up a LTE Micro SIM card for my Note 2 from my local Verizon store and was looking to activate it. I already own a HTC Rezound but that has the larger regular SIM in it. Is it as simple as activating the new SIM using the directions outlined below? And then popping it in.
http://m-support.verizonwireless.com/information/4gsim.html
Just want to make sure I keep my unlimited.
Thanks,
Chris

You could have also bought a sim card cutter off eBay. But now that you have a smaller sim, pick up an adapter in case you want to use the Rezound again (can't image why). I'm using a nano sim in my Note in an adapter so I can confirm that any sim can be adapted any way.

Which adapter did you buy? The one I bought isn't working. Shows the box with the x. It's not making full contact I'm guessing.

Does anyone knows if the Mega can be made to work on Straight Talk?
I'd venture to say Yes.
As long as you are sim unlocked.
I'm using net 10 which is very similar. Just buy the prepaid cards from WalMart (no contract) and it does 4G just fine.

Can I get the straight talk "micro" sim from walmart???
Sent from my GT-I9205 using xda app-developers app
I think with Straight Talk you have to order the sim from their web-site
Then you buy the mins from Walmart
Walmart sells the Net 10 sim right on the rack
Called bring your own phone kit
Comes with a full size and a micro sim plus first month of service
I think I paid $65.00 for the kit
I activated it on a full size sim from another phone I was using at the time.
On the Mega, I had to cut the sim down with a razor blade.

Thats cool if you get 2 sims...im wondering if I can put the micro in my mega AND it's full sized twin in my tab//phone , Samsung GT-P6800 and have them both work? Ie: same phone number ...data plan? ?... that would be a trick. .

No I think the reason they give you two cards is they try cover all the bases not knowing what device you have.
Only one card can be activated though.
One or the other.
You can buy two kits but it would twice the money and two different phone numbers.

Very true as when i got my mega from my carrier they gave me a new sim card which was part of the deal..basically a activation fee and my old sim from them was still good with the same number they put to my new sim card, and they told me that my old one will be no good to use even though both sim cards had the same number on it, but i tried my old one anyways and it was no good like they said..it said insert sim card, so no two sims cards can have the same number..would be cool but not happening. :silly:

Yes correct
GSM technology is very secure
I once bought a sim card replicator that promised to duplicate/clone any GSM sim card.
I wanted to do this so I would not have to keep taking battery/cover/sim card from one device and put in another then back again all the time.
I was never going to fire up both devices at the same time
(As that would cause a ripple in the fabric of deep space and a tear in the time/space continuum).
Anyway allz it did was destroy my original sim and I had to pay AT&T $20.00 for a new sim card.

Yes Sir
Definately a learning experience
A Radio Shack sales rep wanted to bet me $100.00 that it would NOT work.
If I were a betting man I'd been out another $100.00.
On top of the $ 30.00 I paid l for the cloner
And the $ 20.00 I paid for a new sim card.
Sometimes learning can be expensive
I offer if here for free.
I still think it can be done though.
Just not with that device
Anything man invents can be exploited
I just didn't have the resources to seek out someone who had the capabilities, equipment and knowledge to do it.
Plus no funds to keep buying new sims.
Ever since wifi tether came along there's no need anymore.

Ok. I'm now on a CDMA Network. I just bought a Mega AT&T from Swappa. how do I know if it is sim unlocked?
Hi guys,
I went to best buy today and got my note 3. When I got home I found there's a sim card already put in the sim card slot. I am puzzled, last time I see this was on my touch pro 2, and I was told by sprint customer service representative that the sim card in my touch pro 2 was actually a gsm sim card for the purpose of international roaming. That makes sense, so I bought that story.
When I look at this sim card in my note 3, I'm wondering what is it used for? Since I believe sprint note 3 uses embedded sim card to store cdma+lte keys I suppose this actual sim card in the slot is not used for that purpose. Could it also be a sim card used for international roaming? Or is it the case that the embedded sim card stores cdma keys and this actual sim card stores lte keys, like verizon phones?
Thanks for any input that could clarify this.
Cheers
Listen... I work for sprint .. that sim card is for international use .. How it works is .. If you have the phone active on your line for more then 90 days then call in to the international department and tell them u want unlock the SimCard . Then u can use the sim or take it out and use a sim card from another country

It can be unlocked on day one. There is no 90 waiting. If it hasn't been on your account for 90 days they call you to ask you a few questions then unlock it. Put the unlock request in one day one then they called me back the next day to unlock it.
