Yes, i believe it's possible with the latest version of flashtool (+ update).

The safest way though, is to revert to stock (do a backup of your current rom&setup of course) then perform the unlock.

Alright alright.
But,if i backup my current rom (which is for LB) then unlock my BL and then restore my backup of my LB Rom,i will have a Rom for LB on my phone with ULBL.

[Q] how to flash, backup, ROM's and EFS partition

Hi I recently bought the sony ericsson WT19i (Live), now I want to flash cyanogenmod but i don't know how. I read something about unlocking bootloader bu I can only find tutorials for Xperia range phone's also is there a way to backup my current ROM and EFS partition?.
I have alot of expirience with android so just some links should do.
Also is there a way to Re-Lock the bootloader?
You must unlock bootloader first. Then flash custom rom, and install cm using update zip.

Thanks but unlocking avoids warranty and no official updates. Is it worth it?
From what i understand with a locked bootloader you cant boot into recovery, right?

Ssory my english is bad. I am russian user.
With unlocked bootloder you can not oficially update you device.
You can install cwm to locked stok rom and boot into recovery.
Unlock bootloader only need to flash modded kernel.
after unlocking you can lock bootloader. Drm key's not restore

[Q] Flash eXperience v2 information requested

Hi, lurking the forum about Xperia sola I noticed that exist this rom (experience v2) that I could install on my xperia sola ics (.54) NOT rooted and with locked BL...
So, I would some piece of information about it. I can flash this rom without unlocking the bootloader and without have rooted my ics .54?and then, if I would return to my original ICS .54 I can do it without unlocking the BL (I ask this just because my xperia sola is already in warranty and I don't wanna lose it)? Thanks in advance...
you can do it without unlocking bootloader but you need root for that and you can return to stock without unlocking

Since you will be rooting your phone and you will be able to install CWM recovery,it wouldnt hurt you to back up everything!
You will be fully covered if something goes wrong or if you decide that you prefer your stock Sony rom, with the whole phone configuration as it is right now!
Better root your phone and take a back up first!
Then, you can try ANYTHING you want!

can i root locked with locked BL?

I have 2 questions:
1.can i root my lg p768 with locked Bl cause i just wanna tweak it on the stock rom (V20C)
2.if the answer to 1 is yes so what is the difference between having locked or unlocked BL (what are the benefits)

1. Yes.
2. L9 with Unlocked Bootloader can install custom roms and/or kernels
2.5 Unlocking the bootloader is like winning the lottery....lol.

but i also saw a thread called Locked BL recovery installer
so can't i use it to flash CWM and then flash roms?
here is the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095825
and this thread is what brought me here to ask the same question again:
if i can root my phone and flash recoverry on it without unlocking my BL so why should i unlock it?
Yes you can root your phone with CWM on locked BL but there is no possibilty of changing ROMs in future.

So you mean an unlocked BL gives me the ability to flash roms?

Yes that is correct. However, re-locking the bootloader is currently not possible which means your phone will be out of warranty, so proceed with caution.

Afaik seus might brick your phone as your bootloader is unlocked.. Best is to use flashtool and flash .587 firmware and sell it bck..

If you're using flashtool, then there's no need to lock the bootloader.

yes you can relock the boot loader, but you don't have to, you can reinstall the stock os without relocking the boot, no you don't have to relock to use stock os

Bootloader Unlock!

I needed a help!
actually i unlocked my bootloader. tried the cm rom!
again went to stock 4.4.2 .314fw.. and locked the bootloader!
now i want to try the miui rom for our z2 but when i try to unlock the bootloader again it says already rooted!
now suppose its rooted or unlocked. i try to flash a kernel, flashtool gives an error that cannot execute the command.
why so? whats the solution?
Locking on MIUI ROM is not possible. Restore tour TA partition that will relock.
Relock will only work with stock ROM.
