Right now I'm using the soft keys bar for ics which was an option in the settings but is there a way to disable them with a mod or using an emulator?

Ics zenwick
I hate the 5 minute rule and auto correct on the keyboard. Caused me to wait staring at my phone 4 5 minutes to edit a post.

How can I get the nexus home navigation strip on my omega rom?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Step 1. Use search, its not difficult, google is also very good at searching for things.
Step 2.
Add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to your build.prop and you'll have the navbar.
This is for free, this time.

Ya it'll work for any rom, you don't need a computer, just use a root explorer and go to /system/ and open build.prop in text editor and add that line at the end. Easy.

Yes, I'm using on-screen buttons. But this phone display is only 4-inch. So display area will be too narrow with this method...

I tend to you smilies a lot on my GS4 but when I click on the sym key it feels like it takes forever to switch over to smileys. Is there a way to lower the wait time? I know on swiftkey you can. Wasn't sure on here

What keyboard are you using? That could be the problem. I use Google Keyboard and they pop up instantly.
