This is probably an easy one but I rooted my Razr running ICS then installed clockworkmod recovery touch. I attempted to revert back to the stock recovery but can't quite figure out how to do it. Now when I do the recovery boot procedure (volume up + volume down + power) I get a list to pick recovery amongst other things. When I select recovery I get the android bot with an exclamation point and have to force reboot. I just want to be able to get into stock recovery. Is this possible? Am I missing something simple?
Just hit both volume buttons @ the same time, when the Android appears :thumbup:

Need I hold keys or just push once? Tryed both but wont work. Used CWM reboot to restart. Need to wait some seconds or right when screen turns to black?
Hold both volume buttons before hitting power. Then u should get a menu, scroll down to recovery with vol down, then select with vol up

Is not recommendable to use that recovery,it is not longer supported, you have to use BMM or Safestrap.

You are correct!!!!
Hello guys,
So after downloading the official OTA Kitkat update (phone was not rooted and never was), I tried installing the Chinese Theme Center so I can install other themes. When I was playing with the lock screen and stuff, this error suddenly appeared:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I press OK, this screen will come up:
It says that it will enter security mode but it will just revert back to the error screen above... it's kind of stuck in a loop and I couldn't go any further since I cannot use the menu/touch buttons. The only buttons working are the power switch and volume rocker. Sadly, I can't remember if I have the 4GB or 8 GB version (I do not have the manual and the box anymore). When I try plugging in my phone to the PC, this is what it's showing:
Hope someone can help me. :crying: Thank you guys in advance!
Install a TWRP version and wipe data, cache and davilk, or full wipe option is the default first option for TWRP.
Shutdown phone (red button near sd card), than use combo (power + vol up + vol down) and go in to stock recovery. When you see green robot, tap power button once, than use vol down for navigation throw recovery, and vol up for choosing option from recovery. Choose "wipe/factory reset".

I had try push red button, dan wipe the eMMS card. But, my p780 back to kitkat OS. do you know how to downgrade it to original OS jelly bean of lenovo p780? pleas email me ya [email protected]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/help-p780-stuck-boot-screen-reason-t2864456
Read through there, there's guides that stympy gave me to root my phone, although you will have to make sure you didnt do what i did and lose my IMEI and all, Actually not even sure myself how it happened but im happy with Jelly Bean again, not keen on running Kit Kat with all its buggy ****, lag, ram hog & battery drain.
My phone is an HTC One M8 running Android Revolution HD and TWRP Recovery. I recently downloaded Multirom thinking that I could hold multiple roms just by downloading the app. The app told me to reboot into Recovery mode to finish installation, and I rebooted into recovery. The only roms that were available to boot in was Internal so I just chose that. Turns out Internal will always get me stuck into the htcONE boot screen even after 1 day of waiting. If I try to go into bootloader mode and go into factory reset, it brings me back to the MultiROM menu everytime. I cannot even access the phone from the computer to edit the files. Please help, thanks!
@sangothemango
When you say when you try booting into bootloader do you mean your recovery as far as doing a factory reset?
Try power+volume-up till it goes dark and as soon as it goes dark just hold volume-down till the actual hboot/bootloader comes up.

If you can get the above example type of screen to come up than you can save your device. Hopefully your familiar with adb/fastboot cause that's what's going to fix it.
Unless you already have S-OFF ?
Yes I can get into that screen, but if I choose anything, it says going into recovery mode and then nothing happens.

Mine disappeared as well
Mine too..go in safe mode..by switching off ur phone then power it on and keep volume up and down button pressed till it boots up in safe mode..there u vl find close recent apps working properly..then restart it vl come back fr few days..den repeat again..simple...
happens when Google search Updates to 6.0
Why do you want to close all Apps?
I dont know about the update. But as soon as you remove or deactivate Google search the button is gone.
Booting into Safe mode then boot normally the issue was sorted for me...
To get into safe mode follow the instructions
1.Power Down the OnePlus X
2. Hold the Power Button Until Android Starts to Boot Up
3. As Soon as Android Starts Booting Up, Let Go of the Power Button
4. Then Immediately Start Holding Both the Volume Up and Volume Down Buttons
5. Continue Holding Both Volume Buttons Until Android is Fully Booted
follow the instructions from this forum
For me a simple restart did the job and it never disappeared again atleast till now
For me both restart or save mode didn't solve the problem. But I think in my case there is no fix because I uninstalled Google search. With that the button is gone. Its a little bit strange because in my other phone I did the same but the button is still there (other phone is in CM12.1).
